My daughter, myself and my husband have been going to Stephan at Zen salon for approximately 6 months so I had no apprehension about cutting my hair short and offering up a color strand test before the appointment. I sat at the salon for 5 hours while he destroyed my color and gave me the worst haircut I have ever received. The worst part of the whole experience was that he ghosted me for 4 days after this whole incident, had absolutely NO remorse or apologies and even defended this pathetic haircut! The fact that he is an independent contractor means that as a client there is a complete lack of managerial recourse for clients. read more

I booked an appointment and even texted the stylist to confirm and HOURS later she responds saying that she's booked for the next five days or so and that she's not sure why the booking website showed availability... she could have responded to my text after I sent it instead of waiting an hour before the scheduled appointment to tell me this. Now I remember why I hate cherry creek salons. Stylist is Gabriella. Fix your website if this is an issue. read more

I have been going to Sandy for about 5 years. She is the ONLY person that can get my blonde highlights a creamy beige. Her talents are not limited to color and highlighting. If you give her a photo, she will cut the hair exactly as you want. She gives you an honest opinion and tells you if it will not work for you. I would not go anywhere else. read more

I have only been here a couple of times, but have loved my hair and experience each time! I have gone to Christy, and she is truly great at what she does. The location is great- street parking in Cherry Creek- so it costs $, but I have never had a problem finding a spot. It's definitely not cheap, but would rather pay $65 for a cut and have it look PERFECT. I get more compliments on my hair than I ever have after going here. Everyone that works here is very friendly, and genuinely wants you to love your hair. They spend a ton of time on each client, making sure each cut, color and style is perfect. I followed my stylist April over here from the place down the sidewalk, and am thrilled with her new digs! Nobody likes to hear about a wrench being thrown into the delicate circus that is their beauty regimen, so I was a bit leery about my old salon moving out of the building. But I have to say, this place is superb. First of all, April is still working miracles on the hair. Seriously, if you need a good stylist call her. My hair has never, ever looked this great. April. Are you calling her? Good. Next, I really enjoyed the crisp, clean, airy, relaxing vibe the floor to ceiling windows and laid back furniture project. There are even videos of beaches playing across the flat screens. Even the music is relaxing, which is nice because I swear some salons are turning into dance clubs. I have been seeing Brenda for many years. She always understands how I want to change my style and color. I change my color often and she always gets it right on. She knows knows exactly what I am picturing in my head. The color never grows out too fast. Her cuts are amazing...and always can make changes based on my limited hairstyling ability!! I tried almost all of the higher end salons in lodo, cherry creek, and cap hill when I first moved here in search of a good stylist, and I finally found Zen! I have seen Wendy for years now and she has taken great care of my hair; she is absolutely amazing with color and we always have a great time during my appointments. Definitely check Zen out! (the woman who wrote the nasty tips shown above) right before she started throwing a tantrum in the middle of this salon. I have been coming to Zen for years now, and absolutely adore and respect all of the stylists there both as gifted hairstylists and as good honest people, so when I read these comments I thought I should say something. Sandy (the owner who this chick was ranting about) approached the situation with a lot of class and was trying to be accommodating, despite that this woman was attacking her verbally; Rae M. was cursing, yelling, and generally acting like an infantile, entitled miscreant. To be honest, I have never seen an adult behave like that in public. I don't want to get into a Yelp-standoff, but wanted to be sure that one obnoxious woman's reviews don't affect prospective client's decisions to come to a truly excellent salon - there aren't a lot of them around! read more

I have been going to Sara at Zen for more than 5 years--it was a great salon at the beginning and now it has grown to an even more beautiful space. Sandy has it decorated wonderfully and I always enjoy going in because of the great atmosphere. All the stylists are friendly and upbeat. Sara is my stylist and not only can she do a killer cut & color, but she gives the best shampoo head-massages- I wish I could catch her weekly just for that! Sara is the only Zen stylist I've been to (and I'm sticking with her) but I would trust any of the stylists with my hair, as all of their clients I've seen always look so great (and happy!) after their appointments. Also, as someone already mentioned, parking is easy to find (either on-street or in the parking garage adjacent to the building) and a Starbucks is right across the street if you happen to arrive early and want a quick treat :) read more

I highly recommend the ZenSalon! I've been coming to see Sandy (the owner) for over 10 years and have referred a number of family members and friends. I also live in a different city now and still fly back just to see Sandy. It's worth the trip and the money. I've tried different stylists here and no one comes even close to Sandy and her work. She does the best blond hair and is well known in the community for being a phenomenal colorist. The staff is friendly, professional and use good products, but more importantly have a strong work ethic that leads to amazing, stylish results. I also had Christy do my wedding hair, she's amazing. Not only did my hair look fantastic all day and night, she also went above and beyond and bought a fresh flower to accessorize my hair with. It was a pleasant surprise and ended up looking fantastic.
