My friends and I came to Floyds to eat crawfish and sit outside on this amazingly beautiful day. When we arrived and asked to sit outside, we were informed they do NOT have any servers for outside. We said that we will go to the bar and self serve ourselves, it was not an issue for us. We were then told that the manager would not allow us to sit outside because other people would then want to sit outside. We left and went elsewhere. I just think its bad business to deny us to self serve ourselves, just because we wanted to sit outside on such a gorgeous day. read more

I had the crab bisque. After adding salt, cayenne, and Louisiana hot sauce it almost tasted cajun. First taste tasted like crab and heavy cream, thats all. My biggest complaint is that literally every single bite had crab shell in it. I just lined my plate all the way around with crab shell as I ate. I did manage to eat it all (because its a small bowl of soup), but I have to say it was a challenge as I began to lose my appetite from all the shells. Seriously this soup shouldn't cost this much considering its probably made entirely of blue crab bodies that are very poorly cleaned. read more

They have a wide selection of cajun seafood and all are pretty good! We are not into fried stuff so we ordered everything grilled. Everything is really salty, but I guess it's supposed to be like that. My husband got the seafood platter and liked the variety of fish, oysters, shrimp, crab etc on it. I got the Floyd stuffed shrimps, they are stuffed with crab meat and all entrees come with one or two sides. We liked the sweet potato fries the most. We were in town for vacation and tried several seafood spots between Houston and Galveston. This was the best spot on our entire trip. The onion rings were some of the best I have ever had. The chicken and sausage gumbo (no okra. Thanks for doign it right and saving the okra for seafood gumbo) was very good. I think they could use a better sausage in their gumbo but it was still very good. The fried flounder was very good as well. To top it off the service was excellent - one of the best waiters I have ever had. I wish I remembered his name because I could give him props here. Well.. I'll start out with the food.. and the service. Food was really good and the service was really good as well. I enjoyed the crawfish my wife had grilled shrimp and my child had the alligator. But the problem I have the fact that floyds offers a military discount. . ..so what's the problem you ask..they only offer it to Officers in uniform. Not service members in uniform just Officers .. nobody's service is worth the discount unless they are an officer?..and then retiring after 20 years of service as a NCO and a disabled combat veteran .sorry I do not meet the standard that Floyds has set as someone who is worthy . Here's my thing....I LOVE Floyd's. Specifically the Floyd's in Pearland because that's the one I'm used to. Love the food, the servers, bartenders, etc. However, I recently experienced the worst server at the Floyd's on NASA Rd. 1. She clicked at us like a horse when we went to be seated, forgot everything we asked for (which is absolutely fine if you acknowledge it) and was VERY rude when we had to ask several more times for things we had already asked for. For example, I got my first beer after I got my salad and crawfish. I still give Floyd's 5 stars because I love their food, owner, and managers. But the NASA rd 1 location could do without 1 particular server. read more

I went to this establishment last night and the service was horrible from the moment we entered. The waitress, Samantha, was rude to only our table which happened to be a table of minority women. When she served the other non minority tables she was very pleasant. I asked for my check 4 times and still did not receive it. My daughter commented to me that I had asked before for the check. Samantha then rolled her eyes. When I addressed that she mumbled that we had been looking at her like that the entire night which was untrue. I asked for the manager, Michael who was equally as rude as she was and totally defended her. The crawfish were awesome but service sucked. I wish I could give a negative rating. Went to this establishment and the service was awful. The waitress Samantha was rude. She only attended to half of the table. When asked about her attitude she said "it's because of the looks I am receiving from y'all." It was a table of 8 women in a conversation so as you can imagine there was minimal interaction wit the waitress. When asked for a manager he came over very rudely. He defended the waitress as well as gave dirty looks. Learned about this place and it's story from a customer of mine. I've been around the block in Louisiana and this takes you back there. I had the etouffee and it was delicious. I liked that they gave you a couple different hot sauces to choose from. Didn't need much as it had some kick to it already. The service was great during lunch, and the bar was packed. We went to Floyd's for the AYCE crawfish for $30. It was the worst crawfish ever. It tasted like they boiled the crawfish in unseasoned water and sprinkled seasoning on top. I have never eaten at this place before new to the area. There was a crowd outside the door so I stood in line the hostess asked if we were on the list I said no. She proceed on to other customers. I stopped her again and told her I was not on the list she never address me nor did she ask me if I wanted to get on the list or how long of a wait there was, nor did she tell me how to get on the list. She was utterly rude and distasteful to be placed as the first person you meet in the restaurant. You want someone bubbly and willing to work for your brand. Not someone there for a check. Came for an early dinner. Had the fried shrimp and catfish with a side salad. The food was amazing. Everything was fresh. I'm going to give a very simple review based upon my plate only. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with pickles only. However, the sandwich I received had all of the toppings on it. It did not appear that I had received grilled chicken, rather two small, flat pieces of probably what were once chicken tenderloins, with no grill marks on them, and they appeared and tasted very undercooked .Had I not been with a large group of friends that I haven't seen in a long time I likely would have demanded another plate or my money back. A plain grilled chicken sandwich should be easy for most restaurants to accommodate. read more

I ordered the grilled stuffed shrimp, and I can tell you that every single one I ate had a piece of shell in it. I didn't like the placement of some tables and the bathroom all close to the entrance however I overlooked that when it came to their food. I started with the catfish bites; very yummy!
