    My first time here but not my last! My hubby had been here before so he tried to earn me about the Fondue. He said once you taste it, you won't eat your food. Did I listen? No!!! The fondue is a meal on its own! Absolutely DELICIOUS!!! The sampler platters are great! Catfish cooked to perfection and they give large portions. Last but not least, was our server AJ! He was friendly and attentive. If in the area ask for him. He's excellent.

    I am already a fan of Pappadeaux so I had to try this location for Pappas Seafood. I love the nautical theme. Very clean bathrooms and private booths. The service was great, I spoke with many staff members including the manager who welcomed me warmly! I ordered the fruits de mar 10/10, Salmon Alexander 10/10, Glass Slipper cocktail 8/10, 3 Wheeled Motion cocktail 10/10, and the pecan pie 9/10. Overall great experience and very conveniently close to the Houston Space Center.

    Splitting the entree after the appetizer was  perfect for two and so damn good.

    Excellent Pre-cruise vacation Halloween dinner experience. Driving from DFW we stayed at a hotel across the highway and searched for a good food and somewhere we haven't been. What a great surprise to have a friendly and smart server (Cynthia) who guided the menu and a wonderful experience. Besides drinks and conversation we had some delicious oysters and the grouper special that was cooked to perfection. Check out the picture. Highly recommend this place.

    A bit on the pricey side but what do you expect from the Pappas? Fresh and Quality you can rely on. Grouper is one of my go to fish dishes and this did not disappoint. Sub in the Butter Potatoes vs the Spinach and it elevates the meal.

    I've been familiar with the Pappas bros. brand since I was a child, and in my opinion, there are some things Pappas restaurants get right, but there are also shortcomings and room for improvement here and there. We visited this location twice over the years to celebrate a family member's birthday. The first visit, a few years ago, was awesome! But the second visit, a few weeks ago, left a lot to be desired. Service was actually great in the beginning, and then, inexplicably, it quickly went downhill. The server hardly ever revisited the table once he acquired more tables, so I asked other members of the waitstaff for everything from correct containers (I was given just a plastic cup for fondue, lol) to bread (to go). My family member enjoyed their birthday lunch, but I am kind of a tough customer and this visit was below the usual standards of Pappas restaurants. Overall [3/5]. 1. Bread Service [4/5] - You could tell the bread here was baked a tad too long. It was somewhat springy, but not as memorable or well made as previous visits. 2. Strawberry Lemonade [2/5] - The Lemonade was neither tart nor did it have a good strawberry flavor. It was just pink lemonade, literally. The glass it was served in is also shorter compared to the last visit before this. 3. Crawfish & Shrimp Fondue [3/5] - This is what I often order when visiting a Pappadeaux or Pappas Seafood House. Something was missing, perhaps garlic or other herbs and spices. It just fell flat. However, the shrimp and crawfish were cooked well. 4. Garlic Bread [3/5] - Tough, overdone. Not up to usual standards. Hard to enjoy fondue with subpar garlic bread. I didn't eat much of either. 5. Shrimp Gumbo [3/5] - This was served first as an appetizer. I thought it lacked warmth (room temperature) and flavor. Gumbo should always be served hot. The roux/base tasted off. I couldn't detect thyme, bay leaves or mirepoix. It had a watered down taste. Texture of the shrimp was good, though. 6. Key Lime Pie [5/5] - This was actually a great slice of pie, which a family member who was celebrating their birthday shared with me. The berries were a nice touch! 7. Service [2/5] - See above. 8. Atmosphere [3/5] - Kind of boring this time. No laughter anywhere.

    Husband and I went for lunch, our food and service was excellent! Linda was our server, she was very friendly and polite! We each had a house salad with everything that includes fresh crisp lettuce, red onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, cheese, and some of the best croutons! When we ordered we let Linda know that we were going to split the seafood platter and she had the cooks split it up for us, which was nice! We did split the stuffed crab and stuffed shrimp! They did have some huge lobsters in one of their tanks and one of these days, I am going to order one! It's a great place for as small as a party of two or several people!

    I was surprised how packed this place was for a mid Sunday afternoon. Thankfully we were seated immediately and had a cozy table for 2. We started with fried calamari (my favorite) and it was paired with fried asparagus. Both were amazing. We both had salmon dishes that were cooked to perfection. We ended with the Mardi Gras cheese cake just because. It was awesome.

    Decided to try Pappas's Seafood for the first time for an early Valentine's Day dinner and it was spectacular! The place was super busy but luckily made reservations so we were seated in a few minutes. Service was prompt and very friendly and on par with other Pappas spots we've tried. We tried the famous crab cake which was huge and mostly lump crab meat with minimal breading and calamari app which was tender and seasoned well and served with a garlic aioli. For our entree we split the rainbow trout, crab, and shrimp entree which was more than enough for two people and the fish was super tender and skin was super crispy. For dessert we had their crembrule which is one of the best I've had served with berries and whipped cream. Overall one of these best dining experiences I've had at a restaurant in Webster and would easily recommend for a date night or fancy dinner.

    We had a lovely dinner and really enjoyed our entrees! Both were very fresh and delicious! Our server was attentive, and kept our water glasses full. The banana pudding was a decadent choice to end our meal.

    Went around noon and our party of 2 was seated right away. What I like about this location is that if there's ever too long of a wait, Pappas Delta Blues Smokehouse is right next door. Though it's not seafood, it's just as good. My friend and I came hungry and everything on the menu looked good! It was a hard decision but we both decided on the fried oysters with a baked potato. The prices are what you would pay at Pappadeaux's and if I were to close my eyes, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference in taste. Yes, we passed several Pappadeaux's on the way here but sometimes, you just want to take a road trip. Our server was Dylan and he was friendly and attentive to our needs. We never had to ask for our drinks to be refilled because he was on top of it! It only took about 20 minutes for our food to come out. As we sat, we watched many diners come in and as we left, there were many waiting to be seated. To me, this is a sign that the food and/or service is good. There wasn't anything outstanding that would make me want to return because again, it's pretty much like Pappadeaux's. Our intentions were to go the Delta Smokehouse next door but changed our tastebuds for seafood at the last minute. Overall, Pappas Seafood has tasty food.

    KEVIN!! Our waiter, nice guy and we all shared some laughs and some smiles. Besides the service my family and I tried the delicious Catfish with Shrimp Brochette. The shrimp, served on a bed of white rice topped off with their house made Jambalaya. It was slap your mama good. Little bit of spicy but intelligent flavors. Shrimp was firm and bacon was crisp. I actually drank the ramekin of butter, jk. The exclaimed, Kevin comes from Home Alone. I'm silly...nevertheless. If you haven't indulged in the dining experience at this well established restaurant, I suggest you add it to the list.

    Food: 4.5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Food- One of my favorite places to eat seafood. I recommend any of the naked platters because it truly shows off the fish in a less altered form to their dressed-up counterparts. Their dessert menu is killer and I wouldn't change a thing about it. Also, Pappas knows how to make their bread and butter (try to get a more fresh loaf, otherwise it could be a bit doughy or dry). My only complaint with the menu is that its other dishes that focus less on seafood are a bit lacking comparatively. I absolutely love pasta, but their pasta dishes over the years have just been too rich to where I can't seem to have more than a couple of bites of it before I feel sick. Also, with such a hefty price, things like a small slice of steak just doesn't feel worth the money. From my most recent visit, I had their complimentary bread and butter (a little dry this time, didn't bother me though, and I had the whole loaf), their Wild Caught Grouper Specialty (I absolutely loved the brown butter, the fish was great quality), and their Cheesecake (EXTREMELY rich in the best way possible, the strawberry syrup is so good). Service- A bit on the slow side this time around on a Friday night. Oftentimes it isn't an issue, but each step of the ordering process just took forever. It took ~5 minutes for us to get menus (we weren't handed them whenever we got seated), ~15 minutes for our waiter to come back to take our order, and another ~15 minutes to get our food. Our server was nice and to the point whenever taking our orders. I'll assume this sub-par service is simply an outlier in terms of this restaurant's quality, but consistency is often the thing that gets people coming back time after time. Ambiance- Pretty nice in general. Service this time made our table layout a bit cramped at times (bread and butter, drinks, and multiple menus all at once on the table), but this is more an issue of service rather than ambiance. I truly love Pappas Seafood, and on any other visit I might've given them 5 stars. However, the shortcomings in both the service and their menu's quality across dishes made their score lower than I wish I could've given them.

We had so many restaurant options but chose this place because of the high ratings... and I'm so glad we did. I'll be honest--when we first arrived, I wasn't impressed with the outside or the area. I was a little hesitant going in. But the moment we walked through the doors, everything changed. The place felt welcoming, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere--yes, a little loud--but in a good way. It's that lively Mexican vibe: music, micheladas, carne asada... all of it. We were just tired, so I think I noticed it more. Now let's talk about the food... I ordered the Maestro Plate but swapped the meat for short rib costillas--and OH. MY. GOSH. These were hands down some of the best costillas I've ever had. Juicy, tender, packed with flavor. I cleaned those bones completely--every single bite. The dish was served with perfectly grilled "nopales" and queso panela, que ricura! Ahhh, and of course the charro beans and rice that I barely made a dent in. The portions? HUGE. Two of us shared one plate and still had leftovers--and we can eat! Now this part says everything: my grandson, who is on the spectrum and very picky, ordered pollo asado... and he tore into it. No complaints, no hesitation--he finished his entire plate. That alone speaks volumes. My daughter had the birria (and she's a birria critic), and even she couldn't finish her plate because of how generous the portion was--but she said it was full of flavor and really good. My older grandson (big growing boy with an equally big appetite) had a birria quesadilla--again, huge portion--and even he couldn't finish it, which never happens. To top it all off, the owner surprised us with a complimentary dessert--warm, soft, pillowy sopapillas with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. The kids were FULL... and still devoured every last bite. Not a crumb left. And let's talk about pricing... honey. Compared to Austin? This was a steal. I was honestly shocked at how affordable it was for the quality and portion sizes. Amazing food, generous portions, great service, and a place that turned my hesitation into loyalty. They've earned our business--100%. We will absolutely be back next time we're in town.

As for the service, our waitress was adequate--neither especially warm nor unfriendly. She wasn't particularly fast, but she wasn't slow either. She simply did her job. While the service wasn't remarkable, it certainly wouldn't keep us from returning or recommending this place. Floyd's is a genuine hidden gem--one I would gladly visit again.

    initially was excited to try this place out. first and foremost, service was up to par. the host…read moresat us immediately and our waiter was sweet. unfortunately, the seafood was not great. we ordered fried shrimp and chicken tenders baskets for the kids. for ourselves, we ordered fried pickles for the appetizer and for our entrees we were sharing we ordered the blue crab special, gumbo, and chicken wings. fried pickles were heavily battered. ranch tasted like a poor hidden valley dupe. for this to be a seafood place, the seafood was mid. the fixings (butter and seasoning) that came with the blue crab special tasted just like oil. not really a big flavor profile in the seasoning and the butter might as well have been vegetable oil. i'd rather take the drive elsewhere or just make it myself tbh. i did appreciate that gloves, bibs, and wipes were provided but that should be a standard at a seafood boil restaurant. the gumbo was good as well as the chicken wings. hopefully owners or managers can fix what's going on in the kitchen so that the quality of the seafood becomes better because we really wanted to like this spot.
