Coffee was okay, too sweet for me. I ordered lavender latte for the first time. The service was also okay because they forgot or gave my order to someone else. I had to wait for over 30 mins and asked for where my order was. They probably will never find out if I didn't ask for it. In terms of customer service, they gifted me a ten dollar gift card to apologize for their mistake. The one down side of this place is the cleanness. I saw they used the same towel to clean the table and also the food plate, which makes my appetite go away immediately. I won't recommend this place if you care a lot about hygiene. The vibe of this cafe was similar to Starbucks + Panera bread.

chicken tikka masala naan and achiote chicken sandwich
    Monica L.

Ordered ahead and service went smoothly. This flour doesn't have as much seating but wasn't crowded so we found a spot. We got the achiote chicken sandwich and the chicken tikka masala naan with extra tamarind sauce and extra green chutney! The naan was super flavorful and nice and hearty. Loved it. The chicken sandwich was good but not as flavorful in comparison. In general love flour sandwiches and some of their pastries though!

This is as good as it looks!

I have to come to this place whenever I come to Cambridge to get my hands on their amazing baked goods. During the holiday season, I always have the chocolate peppermint cupcake. It's stellar - everything else I have tried in the bakery is delicious as well. I also really like the sandwiches. We had two unique ones yesterday - chicken tikka masala, which was on a delicious naan-like bread and sweet potato with blue cheese. The sandwich selections are flavorful. They also have all kinds of coffees and festive drinks around the holidays. Yesterday, the whole store was singing happy birthday to one of the guests and it seems they bought her a free cookie. Flour always makes me smile.

Stopped in Flour with my boyfriend to grab drink after biking. The cafe was nice but fairly loud so we didn't stay inside long. We got a cucumber cooler and a strawberry drink. The strawberry drink was really good but the cucumber was kind of strange. I would go back for drinks again but probably won't be getting the cucumber cooler.

The Flour location in Cambridge is a cozy and welcoming spot. The staff gives good recommendations for first timers. I wanted to pick up some pastries for Sunday brunch and we had many options. The kouign amann was a stand out as was the biscuit with jam and butter. We also really enjoyed the blueberry pop tart. The sugar brioche was nice and airy. The sticky bun recipe is also in one of the owners cookbooks and lives up to the hype. I'd love to go back to try some savory pastries.

Heard about Flour Bakery and their sticky buns so I had to try it out while I was in Boston! I'm not a huge cake person so I was worried it would be cake-y or flour-y for me. To my surprise, the bun itself turned out really fluffy and chewy. It had a great ratio of nut toppings and caramel sauce to bun itself. They were pretty generous with the amount of pecans. Sweet as expected but perf for the holidays! The drip coffee was fine; got the job done but nothing special. Staff were polite and service was quick. Liked how there was good amount of seating with natural light in this store and seats were clean. Would be interested in trying their other pastries and coffee drinks next time I visit!

This bakery is amazing!! Literally a better version of Tatte, all of the bakery treats are so unique and look so yummy. The raspberry meringue cloud was so much larger than I thought and was super yummy. The cupcake was not super sweet, which is perfect for people who normally don't like the artificial sugariness of standard cupcakes. I also got a cauliflower melt sandwich which blew my mind away as I normally always prefer meat in my sandwiches. My vegetarian friend was the one who introduced this spot to me as they have a pretty decent vegetarian selection. Even if you eat meat, you should still check out their veggie dishes, trust me! There is a kiosk to order by yourself or you can order at the register. The workers here are super sweet as well. Definitely want to come back again !!!

We stopped here thanks to multiple recs from friends. The sticky bun was indeed very good as were the chocolate and other cookies and sweets we ordered. I got so engaged in listening "(ok eavesdropping) on a Harvard MBA's conversation about herself and all of her successes that I only took a few photos.

    Coconut Cake- so good!
    Rebecca S.

Exceptional food, pastries and drinks. highly recommend the rice krispie treat, the pecan bun, and the coconut cake. For drinks, I usually get iced coffee I would skip the chai or matcha here and stick to the beans! I used to love their matcha seltzer drink but they dont have it anymore :( Flour used to have a very generous rewards program, lately it has been okay so still recommend joining but was more generous in the past

Flour has long been a part of our Boston food plans when we visit. We stumbled across this Cambridge location when we were eating nearby. I was lucky enough to get the last Sticky Bun, and it was great as always. We also bought two brownies. They were good. Seemed like maybe they had a bit of cinnamon. If not that, they had something that gave them a little different vibe Service was good. The bakery was nice and clean. 4.5 Stars

1 slice French toast and iced vanilla latte
    Alissa D.

I stopped in on a Wednesday morning for a mid morning break and got my tried and true favorite French Toast. The small $4 portion is a large slice of toast split into 2 and served with maple syrup. I also got an iced vanilla latte. I'm not a fan of their espresso on its own, I find it acidic, but the vanilla helps smooth and balance it out. Service is efficient, they bring your food and drinks to you when dining in. This is a great location to sit and do some work. Some of the seats get a lot of sun and would probably get really hot in the summer. But there are plenty of other seats not in direct sun.

    Spring fling

Sticky bun - Fluffy on the inside, with a caramelized crisp on the outside. Roasted pecans added a deep nutty flavor, and the sauce was tasty but a tad too sweet. The perfect portion was 1/2 of the bun before it got too sugary. Almond macaroon: Nutty, chewy, and not overly sweet. Great texture from the sliced toasted almonds with the signature macaroon chew. Chunky Lola - Reminiscent of a caramel delight Girl Scout cookie, but elevated with the nuttiness and texture. A little more chocolate would have made it even more elevated. Spring Fling (drink): Way too sour. Even though we did not get ice due to chilly weather, it was intolerably sour and we had to throw it away. Ice diluting would have helped some, but drinking it right away without any dilution wouldn't have been pleasant.

We had such a hard time choosing and settled on the walnut baklava roll and the muska kataifi pisatchio. Everyone working there was so friendly and helpful and even with a line out the door, they were able to keep things moving smoothly. They also gave us small chai samples while we waited to be helped (the chai was spicy and not overly sweet). The baklava and kataifi were perfect -- no notes. Baklava had a great ratio of flaky pastry layers to walnuts. Each bite had the right about of crunch and nuttiness. The amount of syrup used was just right also. Kataifi struck a similarly great balance: a crunchy and sweet shredded wheat exterior rounded out by the richness of pistachios. I wish I could come here all the time and try everything. Definitely keeping this place bookmarked for any future trips to Boston.

It kind of reminded me of the Almond Roca candy. To emphasize, the service was unexpectedly considerate. As a new customer, I simply asked the assistant for recommendations, and she offered me samples of 4 kinds of desserts and a cup of Yafa Chai Karak to try. Nowhere to sit, so another challenge. Good selection of croissants and croissant-adjacent items like caneles and pain swisse. Friendly staff; no pretension. My first visit in well over a year on a late weekday morning tried a troika of chocolate-themed items. -- Chocolate Croissant: Not warm (and I wouldn't expect that past 9am), but very fresh feel, very slight greasiness on the bottom, plenty of flakiness on top, and decent fluffiness inside. A good bite, yielding plenty of croissant shrapnel, a light but pleasant buttery taste, and just the right amount of chocolate. A winner. -- Pain Swisse: This varied from others I've had, not having the typical stringiness around the perimeter that feels like raw pasta to the bite, but that was a plus. The bigger noticeable divergence was a much-lighter-than-typical custard presence inside, deferring to the dominant, high quality dark chocolate. The dough around it had good flavor and a nice light crunch, so whether central casting Pain Swisse or not, this satisfied. -- Chocolate Chip Cookie: An unusual rendition, with a dough darker than typical and also boasting some red tint hinting at red velvet. Soft, deliciously rich, and buttery, with the chocolate having a nice melt to it even late in the morning. Salt added some contrast without going overboard as some do. -- Coffee: High in temperature, acidity, viscosity, and flavor. A good match for their baked goods. Overall, still living up to the promise of the first visit, and taking some license with the classic recipes is fine by me with their high level of execution.
