I got my helix pierced here and it was a great experience! The location is inside of a larger salon, so come a little earlier because I got kinda lost trying to find the room lol. Her setup is really well organized, uncluttered, and all around welcoming and clean! The price is extremely good, the $80 for the piercing included getting to pick out any design for my earring. She had sooo many adorable options, all medical grade titanium! I also purchased a smaller backing for an additional $15 so I could switch my piercing for a smaller one size when the swelling came down which is extremely helpful because sometimes I just don't have the time to go somewhere and get it switched. I did mine with Kseniia, and she was so sweet and thorough and respectful the entire time. She is very well informed about what she does, and spent time explaining everything that she was going to do and all the aftercare the was required. They have these little fake ears that were helpful when she showed me how the piercing she wouldl do could be able to accommodate any jewelry I would want in the future! She was very careful in checking my anatomy and ear to make sure she picked a good size as well as piercing at a 90 degree angle and picking a good placement. The piercing was honestly not as painful as I thought she would be! She explained every step as she did it, and was careful to check in to give me breaks in between the steps. I don't get light-headed during piercings, but if I did this place would make me feel totally safe. She made sure I was comfortable and offered water and rest just in case. It took about half an hour for the process, which was maybe long because I was a little indecisive, but I didn't feel rushed or pressured at all! I've ben to places that try to upsell extra jewelry or throw on additional costs, but her pricing is extremely straightforward and transparent. I will most definitely be coming here for all my future piercing needs and recommending this place to anyone who wants a clean, supportive, and thoughtful experience for a reasonable price! read more

Phillip the tattoo artist is amazing. Knowledgeable and will let you know upfront if the tattoo is going to be ideal on your skin tone. I brought in a picture of my tattoo and he provided his opinion on it and also suggested an alternative to the tattoo that I wanted. Also extremely hygienic, uses the best ink and does his best. If you are afraid of the pain, he is good at making you feel at ease. His assistant is also very genuine in providing her opinion. [UPDATE 9/7/2025] The ball bearing fell off. I'm very disappointed that they weren't transparent about their lack of knowledge upfront. I would heavily recommend Pierced Out in San Jose. Their piercer, Erik, is incredibly knowledgeable and invented the daith piercing. He's my usual parlor. --- TLDR: Pulled out a huge set of pliers and clipped my skin, dropped my jewelry, it fell out a day later. I wouldn't recommend going here for a septum, especially one with ball bearings. Looking at reviews, I realize they only post nostril piercings (Some of the clients have septums, but the photo is named for nostril piercings.). I had to remove a septum piercing for an x-ray, and didn't have the time to drive to my usual parlor. I asked if Flora Tattoo Studio could reinstall it. They said yes, but I really wish they would've had the professionalism to admit if they didn't understand the hardware or material of the septum ring. Two people assisted me in putting the septum piercing back on, which was puzzling considering it took *one person* to install it at my usual parlor. The two talked amongst each other, fumbled with the jewelry, and were clearly confused how to put it back on. They eventually started pulling out differently-sized pliers. The last one was huge---looked like it could remove lugnuts--and it clipped my skin. Upon realizing they were clipping me, they let go and dropped the ball bearing. Context for those who haven't had septum piercings, the pliers don't need to be that large. My original was done with a small pair and by one person. The whole ordeal took 30 minutes. At the end, they admitted they weren't even sure if it was tight enough, and explained re-tightening it would involve redoing the entire process. I wasn't interested in that after being pinched by the pliers. They had the decency to tell me not to tip, but again, I wish they would've admitted they were out of their field. If you come here, I recommend looking at what other reviewers have gotten done well and sticking to that. read more

The artist Fillipe, took his time to make sure the sketch looked exactly how I wanted it; he sized the transfer perfectly and placed it just right on my forearm. He had a pristine work area, explained everything he was going to do ahead of time, and showed me that each packaged, sterile needle was far from the expiration date.
