As soon as you get up every morning? Nahhh. Popularity only grew and the more it placed itself on my Instagram feed. I thought perhaps this was some kind of weird Instagram algorithm where they saw my patterns of "liked" microblading videos lol. Come to my surprise, a lot of my friends were talking about it and getting their eyebrows done. They looked amazing! I got so curious about it and read a couple of reviews and I was spooked off of some of the reviews I was reading... I read about eyebrow disasters and "trusting" your artist. So I had spent time on researching different artists and studios. I was introduced to Tiffany's work through complimenting one of my girlfriend's eyebrows! "I got it microbladed!" I totally thought she had grown out her brows and reshaped it or something, wrong. Microbladed. "Whats her IG?!?! (Instagram account)" I was impressed with her work! And I jumped on the opportunity immediately! And made the appointment. While introducing herself to me I started to feel at ease and comfortable. Honestly, I had been freaking out the night before up to the moment I met her, wondering if this was something I really wanted to commit myself to. During the consultation she was very professional and thorough. She was patient and reassuring answering all my questions. She was very attentive and took her time to get the framework even and natural. Im very particular and like my eyebrows a certain way but she never flinched frustration if I suggested a slight change to the shape and sizing of my eyebrows. Once we started the actual microblading process, she continued to make sure I was comfortable, talking me through the process, and played very relaxing music. The whole experience put me at ease. I am so happy with my eyebrows! They look amazing! She didn't stop at being incredible after my appointment, she continued to encourage me to ask questions, if any, during my healing process. She introduced…read moreherself with a firm handshake, welcomed me in, had me sit down and explain a bit of what I was hoping for. I told her a natural look. My eyebrows are really the only thing I occasionally put makeup on and I was interested in microblading to simplify my morning routine. An accident from years ago left me with a scar which kept hair from growing in half of my left eyebrow. Though I hadn't researched much beforehand (except to see her 5-star reviews and know I was in a good place), I felt immediately trusting of Tiffany's vision. She applied a first bit of topical numbing cream and I signed some paperwork. Then I relaxed as she drew an outline (which I confirmed), we chose the color pigment, she did the first round of incisions, applied the numbing cream (which needs to have cuts to go in in order to work), and then she got to work filling in the rest of my brows. I didn't mind the sensation, and the entire time Tiffany and I were excitedly chatting about all sorts of things ranging from travels, to dreams, to philosophy and "living our best life"! Tiffany was very attentive to creating a comfortable and nourishing space. I was impressed by her ability to concentrate as we were having such a good time! By the end of the procedure, I was a little nervous as I was bleeding a bit more than most people (I think maybe due to anemia but some people just bleed more than others apparently). Bleeding more means the pigment is less likely to stick, but Tiffany was sure to patiently clot it with a tissue and reapply more pigment after so it would stay. Thankfully, when she showed me the mirror I was giddily relieved as it looked AMaZiNG!! I am thoroughly impressed with the work she did. My brows looks thicker, fuller, darker (ahem- like they exist 100%!) and I feel more radiant than ever! I went for a long walk after just to show my babies off!! ‍ I feel more confident and very satisfied with my decision. Tiffany was so sweet, professional, wise, and intuitively able to connect with me on a deeper level personally and in regards to giving me exactly what I wanted (without much input from me). Her prices are also very affordable for such good quality compared to what some other salons charge. I 100% recommend her! Be sure to get an appointment before she leaves to share more beauty on the East Coast!

Her new location in Sunnyvale is very cute and tidy with lots of natural light. She took her time listening to my concerns and was honest about styles, color (I dye my head hair) and preferences that would work for me. She's a perfectionist, making small adjustments to my mapping outline, but thats what you want from someone working on your face, right!? I also have some unruly brows that want to go down when I want them to go up and we'll address those areas (maybe a few more brushstrokes) at my follow-up appointment in 8 weeks. I appreciate that I have that second meeting with her to discuss any issues that might have come up after living in my new brows for a bit. The completed work was superb! I could not be any happier and am ecstatic about all the time, product and frustration I will save no longer having to "do" my brows. Worth every penny!

The first time I went to Vanessa, I honestly didn't know what to expect--even though she patiently explained the entire process over the phone beforehand. She's the sister of a longtime friend of mine, and after seeing how amazing my friend's brows turned out, I finally took the leap for something I had wanted to try for years but was always too nervous to do. To put things in perspective, I'm not someone who dyes her hair, gets Botox, or does much in the way of cosmetic enhancements. So this experience was completely new territory for me. The actual procedure itself was totally fine. What caught me off guard was the healing process afterward--the peeling skin, the temporary darkening of the brows, not being able to wash my hair for two days, and avoiding washing my brows for two weeks. Even though Vanessa prepared me for it, I still struggled a bit with trusting the process! But once everything healed, I absolutely loved the results. Coming back for my second visit about a month ago was a completely different experience because I knew what to expect. And I have to say--Vanessa has truly honed her craft even further since my first appointment. The shape is beautiful, natural, and perfectly suited to my face. I've been coming to CJ for almost a year now for lash extensions, and she is so good at what she does! I've been to a handful of different artists, and she is definitely the best. First, she is so nice and easy to talk to, and she always asks you how you want to do your lashes at the beginning of every appointment. I've gone to previous lash artists who can never remember what style/length we did the previous time, but CJ always remembers. The whole process is very comfortable, and I never have to worry about it being painful. I always leave loving my lashes!
