I found this place via a co-worker's referral and I love it!…read more I have always has light brows which have gotten lighter as I age. I have seen people who got micro blading done but never wanted to try it because it is so dark for the first few months. Finally, after spending 10 minutes every day trying to fill my brows and always having them be uneven etc, I decided to check this place out. The website is very detailed, with lots of pictures and information. I still was not able to decide for myself which procedure is right for me so I called My. My does not talk on the phone:) but is a very responsive and detailed texter. I am very impressed by her texting skills. Based on a picture of my eyebrows, she recommended microshading and the reasons for it. I made my booking online and paid the $100 deposit. For my process it would be $545 total + $100 for any follow up - a bit on the expensive side but well worth it. On the day of the appointment, she puts numbing cream on the brows and lets it sit for 20 minutes. She then asks questions about what I want, the shape, size etc. I wanted dark, thick brows. She cautioned against that and advised that I start with a slightly smaller shape because she could always add on but if I hated the shape and size, she could not take it off. She spent some time drawing the shape out and made slight adjustments based on my feedback. I was extremely nervous and told her so and that made her nervous but she was a professional throughout. I was nervous about the pain but it was amazingly painless. Each appt. is for an hour and a half but my brows were not taking color and she took another 1/2 hour but I was very pleased with the result! I had defined, beautiful brows. After, My provided detailed instructions on after care and whether to come back or not. I did start losing color in the timeline she mentioned and some color came back but I went back because they were too light - My remembered everything I had initially asked for without me reminding her and made my brows darker and thicker. After the requisite 4 weeks, I did lose some color but something I can live with. This is a life changer. My did mention that as I kept coming back, my skin would get used to taking color and they would get much darker each time. My left brow is slightly lighter than the right but nothing very obvious. The second time around, my brows also itched a lot and peeled. That did not happen the first time. They are also very dry. The only thing I didn't like about the whole process is that I could not work out for 7 days after the procedure. I have worked out every day for the past 30 years and it was tough but well worth it!! The office is easy to find, parking on the street and inside, My has soda, water and snacks and both times that I was there, I was the only customer - she can only focus on one at a time so that makes sense. Very professional looking equipment and clean. While filling out the paperwork, I indicated that I didn't want her to use my pictures on social media and she was happy to accommodate. I just knew I wanted the tail end of my brows to be filled to naturally blended in with the rest of my brows, PLUS, I didn't want to look mean. After MP numbed me, I felt nothing! Literally, no pain with lots of gain. Micro & nano blading service came out quite nice! Additionally, I had lash liner done as well... again zero pain after numbing cream. It popped when I first saw them! When I came back for my touch up, I felt that in my photos, the tail end of my brows were showing up as too light which .ade my brow look uneven. So, I asked for a fuller fill and sharp ends. MP filled up my brows and now I wake up with perfect brows everyday. For my lash liner, unfortunately, not a single drop of ink stayed on with the first sess. MP redid them by doubling up on the inkage and didn't chage for the retouch appointment. Happy to report that this time, they stayed on. But my eyes did come out feeling sore and dry afterwards... no worries, after a week, my eyes were normal again. NOTES: Lots of free parking. I was amazed by Tongtong's honesty, transparency, and experience, whereas a few other artists just recommended me the most expensive service rather than the most suitable one. Tongtong spent more than TWO HOURS on the nano blading eyebrows. She is one of the few and most detail-focused experts I have ever met: many times I was like "this part looks good/shall we move forward?" She was like "No this is not good enough. Please let me adjust it."----a note: nano blading eyebrows require the artist to design the eyebrow hairs ONE BY ONE. My eyebrows turned out to be so natural and amazing! Everyone, including my colleagues and even my dentist, first thought was they were natural, and second thought was "what is the artist's contact information?" Tongtong offered FREE touch up within 3 months, versus many other studios would charge $50-$100 after the first appointment. My eyebrows maintained the shape and color very well, but Tongtong still insisted and gave me a very detailing touch up. There used to be another 5-star review here that guided me to schedule my appointment but apparently it got removed by Yelp? :-( Hopefully mine stays put :-) The outcome I wanted was a natural looking set of eyebrows but a lot of shops make them either too dark, orange-y, or overly shaped. So I appreciate all the photos that Tong provided on Yelp to validate her consistency and incredible work. It's exactly what I wanted! Tong has been doing eyebrows and other cosmetic services for 6 years but is pretty new to Yelp (she uses other apps like Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book or the Chinese version of Instagram). I reached out to her via Instagram as she doesn't yet have a website. She doesn't use IG often so we had back and forths for about 2 weeks before we finally got something scheduled. I also had a lot of questions and she helped answer everything before we got to scheduling. The procedure took a little over 2.5 hours and I appreciated how detailed Tong was. She first outlined what the shape would look like and got my approval before starting the actual process. The numbing cream was clutch; I didn't feel any pain! Afterwards, she texted me instructions on what to avoid doing over the next 7-28 days, and also sent me home with some saline wipes for the next two hours after as well as instructions for the next two days (simple steps to wipe the brows and retain the pigment). She rents a room inside the nail salon so just head into Sassy Nail Spa. It's located in a big outdoor shopping plaza so lots of parking (and food options). I don't have enough hair for brow lamination and knew the best option for me would be PMU. I started searching on instagram for Bay Area brow artists and landed on Erita's inkscode studio page. Just by first impression, the work speaks for itself. You can tell that Erita is very passionate about her business and is a skilled pro artist. Seeing the before and after photos + videos definitely had me interested in getting nano brows done asap. Luckily for me, I had the amazing opportunity to be a model (on my birthday!) for Erita's 1 on 1 class with a student. Since it was a training session, the process did take about 6 hours to complete (normally takes 2-3 hours). As a model, you do have to be patient and understanding that Erita has to slow down to educate the student and allow them to get hands-on practice. If you ever have the chance to be a model and are concerned about trusting the student, I will say that Erita works on about 95% of your brows. She did go over the students work and made necessary corrections if needed. My overall experience was wonderful! If I could give 10 stars I would. Erita was easy to communicate with via text and Instagram DM. Her personality is very friendly and relatable. She continues to further her own education and is a great teacher to others who want to start their PMU career. Erita is such a boss babe in her grinding era!
