Located at Sawmill, Flora has a modern aesthetic while embracing the colors of NM with beautiful murals and vibrant colors. The service staff are friendly and really take the time to go through the menu. I ordered the Chocinita Enchilada and Shrimp Enchilada combo while my wife and MiL shared the whole grilled pescado. The kids ordered carne asada tacos and a cheese quesadilla. The enchiladas were really good, especially the shrimp! Good but not great. Had the braised beef, mole chicken, baja fish, and cochinita pork tacos. All were good and tasty, but the tacos weren't very big or dressed very well. This is one of those places that tries to fancify tacos, rice, and beans, which is against the nature of a tacos, rice, and beans, so you can only go so far. Nevertheless, all was still tasty. This is a restaurant with sit-down service in Sawmill Market. It's priced at Sawmill pricing but that shouldn't dissuade you. It's nicely decorated and away from the bustle of the rest of the place. The service was excellent and the drinks and food were quite good. We got a sampling of a few different things. The queso fundido was absolutely amazing but it's hard to go wrong with a pile of melty cheese and bread to put t on. I had the build-your-own enchiladas and got two if the chicken mole and one of the shrimp. They were all good but the chicken mole was definitely the winner. Just the right amount of savory goodness with a bit of spice. My friend got the chicken nachos and thought they were delicious and the portions was a huge pile of nachos with lots of toppings. I mean beside our newborn spitting up so we had to leave early, this place has some bomb tacos. We tried all six tacos, and it was delicious. Some better than others. The veggie (root veggie) taco was surprisingly good especially with whatever spicy sauce they had on it. Carne asada was pretty tasty, but the baja grilled shrimp was probably one of the best tacos we had. The other three are good, but the pork lacked flavor compared to the other ones and the chicken Mole was def a good pick of spice. The service was good, the seating is abundant in the mill. Started to think maybe the owner has deep pockets and lives abroad because there is no indication they want the restaurant thriving, there is really no reason for it, but could be food is sub par based on previous reviews and overpriced. After running a portion of the Paseo de Bosque recreational trail on a brisk & chilly Wednesday morning in November 2024 with a friend, I suggested, why don't we grab lunch before we parted ways for the day. She's like, alright. My lunch options was in her hands, more or less. After a short drive or so, we ended up at the Sawmill Market, which was a collection of restaurants inside a large sized warehouse. Pretty cool concept. Like Costco but for restaurants, in some level. With that said, we wandered around Sawmill Market for about 1/2 hour before deciding on what we wanted to eat. My friend enjoys tacos, but at the time, I was really indecisive, so I'm like, okay wherever. We found Flora Taco to Go, which was a nifty Mexican taco stand towards the rear of the warehouse. Time was ticking and we needed to make a choice, so we ended up here. Deciding on the 9 tacos for $38, we split up the order between the two of us for lunch, which turned out to be around $4 per taco. That's not too bad actually per unit. It was pretty cool that the menu was pretty much cut and dry. You get what you wanted and they have an assortment of meats that you could have with your taco. However, nine tacos for one percent at $38 for the whole thing was kind of ridiculous but if you are sharing, it's not as bad. For the most part, though, it was a nice treat from the usual fair that I used to have while traveling. And of course, sharing it with a friend is so much better also. They give you a device to alert you and the food is ready, so we just happen just to cruise the warehouse and wait for the thing to light up. There are various seating arrangements on the first floor and also on the second floor. We managed to find a seating area that was pretty cozy and it was nice. The company was amazing and the food was delicious, as my friend said it would be. The overall experience here at Floral Tacos to Go at the Sawmill Market here in Albuquerque, New Mexico was interesting and definitely a pleasant surprise. I was fascinated by how this concept of warehouse dining usually worked, but I compared it to basically Costco. The service here was friendly and professional, while being fast and particular delightful about their products and dishes. Because all the merchants here shared the common dining space, there was no section that we could not enter, except the bar area I think. To My friend and I got drinks from the smoothie place nearby. As far as parking goes, they have a limited but extensive parking lot for you or anybody and everybody to park here to dine and enjoy. If you're like me who has friends who are able to drive you, best bet is to do that. However, if you don't, you may want to take an Uber or Lyft and get here without dramas. Flora has both a walk up window where you can order tacos and margaritas and a sit-down restaurant where you can enjoy a more upscale full menu. I only tried the taco window. The three tacos I had were mole chicken, carnitas, and cochinita pibil. The tacos are small "street taco" size and, at 3 for $15, they aren't cheap, but I thought they were flavorful and filling. You get a little beeper if you want to walk around but the tacos were ready quickly and you can sit anywhere in the Sawmill Market food court to enjoy your meal. I'd recommend a side of corn from the Churro y Corn place just across the hall. We sat upstairs to watch football but the outdoor seating was a great atmosphere too. read more

First time visiting the Sawmill Market and after a solid 2 laps we decided to grab some Tacos. We ordered 9 Tacos which was about $40, we made sure to get 1 of each meat available. These Tacos are more on the street Tacos size, so roughly 2 or 3 bites depending on the person. These were vary expensive for the size and taste in my opinion but I think your paying for the Sawmill experience more then the actual food if that makes sense. It was OK, but I wouldn't return I'd rather try another restaurant. The service was good and the food came out pretty fast though. read more

Stopped in today with Thing One and a friend. The location of this establishment is in a somewhat upscale food court. The court offers a plethora of cuisines ranging from Italian, South Western inspired, Vegan/Organic, Korean fusion, etc. I ultimately selected this type of food because of its familiarity to the palates of my guests. I ordered 9 tacos selecting three different tacos to ensure all guests were offered a sampling of one taco each. The three tacos selected were Carne Asada, Carnitas and Baja Shrimp. The Carnitas tacos were heavy on grease and as evidenced by the accompanying photos had an uneven distribution of meat per taco. This was disappointing and the expediter(s) who prepared this should have caught this discrepancy. The Baja Shrimp tacos included plump flame grilled shrimp adorned with a slaw. The Carne Asada tacos by far were the crowd favorite as the meat was cooked evenly and tender. In addition, the green sauce a top the tacos provided just the right amount of kick. If coming to this location again, I would elect to go to another vendor as there were many to choose from and while an okay dinning experience was had, it wasn't spectacular nor memorable. read more

I understand they're in a food market that's probably expensive to rent, but there's no way they survive if this is their standard. Friendly staff and I feel bad for this review, but this is beyond overpriced for what you get. Flavor was nice, but the temperature of the food made it almost inedible. It is such a beautiful location in the west corner of sawmill market. It is quiet and calm compared to the rest of the indoor market. It is FLORAL and has a botanic ambiance. The service great and they weren't very busy on a Monday night. They do have confusing hours online as the operation hours differ wether you're looking at Apple Maps, google, or their website. Their website hours are the most accurate fyi. The cocktails are so delicious! Super fresh, creative, and always has a taste of specialty. The food is also very fresh but definitely over priced for what you get. The guacamole was delicious and I ordered it with added fresh veggies. I also got the roasted chicken nachos for my main course and I wish they had more veggies and meat. It was pretty but it got soggy really fast. My partner ordered the skirt steak and the sauce was too over powering with a tangy taste, the steak was very small, and it wasn't that filling. His mom ordered the roasted half chicken and that was probably the best one out of everything. The sauce was delicious and light, the chicken was juicy and not dry, and it paired well with the sides. Sawmill Market is open! We decided to try Flora!! This place is bright, colorful and cool! We started with a cocktail, the cucumber loco. It was small and nothing special for $12. They do have a couple local beers on tap but not an extensive offering. The Tlayuda classic with beef was so good!! It's like a flat tortilla pizza with black beans as the "sauce". Good grilled steak on it. The fish taco is grilled red snapper and was so fresh and tasty! A bit expensive at $6 for just one little street taco but I tell you, it's worth it! We also had the grilled corn "off the cob" which was really good. We tried the shredded chicken nachos that had good flavor and were spicy! The crab quesadillas were good too! We ended with the grilled pineapple upside down cake and the churro sundae! Yum yum yum! I'm pleased by this restaurant and this experience! Designing an innovative taco concept is intimidating in and of itself, and that's especially true in New Mexico. Locals around here are spoiled, honestly, with great representations of legit Mexican street eats, a fair smattering of Baja bites, some of our best seafood is served on corn tortillas, there are food trucks galore, and if you're looking for something infused with chile and other local seasonings, well, you'll find it. Situated in a food hall adjacent to two major hotels, Flora has the additional challenge of catering to tourists, so there's that, as well. Let's just say my expectations weren't set very high. Of the three flavors we ordered, both of us were very impressed with the Root Vegetable. I never imagined quinoa could surprise me that way, but man, I liked them. The Molé landed as anticipated, too sweet -- which is nearly always the case -- and the Grilled Baja Shrimp could've used more oomph. Overall, though, it was a $20 light lunch that fed two people, that's a good price point in this Market. Sometimes I'm in the mood for the take out tacos from Flora. Sometimes, but not all that often, and mainly because I haven't found another restaurant in the area that does a good mole. I like the root veggie taco, they are very good, and the chicken mole is decent. I have yet to have anything else at Flora that is worth writing about. Absolutely disappointing! The food smelled good so I had hoped for some decent taco. Instead I got a tiny portion of cold meat on hard puck tortilla. In fact the meat was so cold that I couldn't tell if the beer or the meat was colder. The carnitas were so cold they were inedible, frankly it was gross. The asada tacos were lukewarm and quickly got cold because of the refrigerator cold salsa that was put on top. Luckily my friends and I decided to divide and conquer so we got to try them all. I had the Flora Punch which was perfect and not overly sweet. I cannot wait to come back and try the frozen Paloma. The corn off the cob was a yummy starter bit you'll want to order chips and chicharones (all freshly made) to go with it. Honey and I split the nachos and tlyada or something like a Mexican flatbread and they were perfect for sharing! Wanted to try the tacos since Sawmill opened. I wanted to try a variety and share with another person. Me and a friend both decided to share the 3/$9 meal. I ordered the chicken mole which was my favorite and my friend was excited to see cochinita pibil. We each had swapped a taco to try each other's. We were both amazed by the great flavors and homemade taste. Glad to see they make their own tortillas and they don't fall apart when you eat them. The flavors are top notch and I could have easily eaten more but the prices are a bit high and we wish it came with a side like chips or beans etc for the price. Me and my friend ordered from somewhere else but wanted to buy drinks in Flora and try some appetizers. We had just gotten our menus and before we could even decide a waitress comes up rude as all get out and says "you can't have outside food in here". Mind you we hadn't even got our other food. I came to the Sawmill Market recently with a girlfriend for a brew. Yes, during the pandemic, and yes, in the cold. It was still worth it! Ha! We perused the food hall for some eats and settled on pizza and tacos. The tacos were from Flora Flora. They have a little take out window in addition to the restaurant, which is what caught our eyes. We ordered the 3/$12. We settled on 2 carne asada and their pollo mole. The carne asada didn't stand out among others but the mole had a sweet after taste which was different. Turns out they make their mole with Macadamia nuts. Very unique flavor, not overwhelming but certainly noticeable if you are thinking of trying it. The tacos were good. Now, $14 later, I am not sure that they were that good. They are small tacos, but they are also not skimpy with the filling so that is a plus. I'll admit that I may choose to spend my $14 dollars on some other eats next time I am at Sawmill. read more
