I unfortunately did not read the reviews in detail before deciding to hire Levi and Finn Wood Flooring. I could write a book about the awful communication, but let's just say that this company has no customer service orientation--Levi actually told me I was "ridiculous" to express concern about the job. His guys were really nice but they did not cover any of the cabinets in the kitchen or pantry as Levi assured me they would. He scheduled a much bigger (more important) job over mine and delayed starting mine knowing we had already moved out. I ended up with a floor in a color I do not like, with big white spots from the sanding everywhere. He would not even come look at the floor though I asked him to. We never saw him after the initial sales call. Overall not a good experience at all. I would give one star but I liked the guys he has working for him.

My partner and I recently bought a custom home in Round Rock and was connected through High Tech Flooring and Design to look at the different options and upgrades that we could include the house. The representative was super nice and supportive in helping us pick our our design and going through all the options to have available. In the sense, we also felt compelled to upgrade both the carpet and Padding, specifically the spill guard and upgraded carpet pile lengths. After 2 months later, and closing on the house, we noticed one of our floor was really squeaky and had to pull up the carpet to make sure we can drill it in.... and upon inspection, we realized what was installed was not the correct padding or carpet length. (Pictures displayed between sample and our carpet padding.) Spillguard is on the left (what we ordered). WE would not have known if we didn't have to also fix the squeaky floors - It's been difficult to get them to verify the correct padding, and getting a response from the office on how we can get it resolved. We brought it up, and requested that they bring in movers to help move the furniture and replace it, we're still in the process. They also had movers who wouldn't move back everything as requested - which made it difficult since my partner just had surgery on a torn ACL which meant we still had to request friends to support for something the company did wrong. They would also not verify the correct carpet that we upgraded. At this point, we believe this may have been an intentional intent to help save the company money. I believe they were banking that the new home builders would not have checked on the material that they purchased to help save on costs. MY recommendation - For anyone ordering carpet from High Tech Flooring, make sure you have proper documentation and verify when they are installing to ensure the correct flooring during the process.

Horton home, and the doors, door frames, walls, baseboards, quarter round, and flooring was in absolute perfect condition. Shortly after close, I hired High Tech Flooring & Design to replace the carpet in all bedrooms, closets, and master bathroom with the same flooring installed in the main areas of my home. I am HORRIFIED to say that they did a HORRENDOUS job and are refusing to repair the damages, which amount to the cost of the entire installation based on a quote received from a trusted third party general contractor. When I went to inspect the home, I was appalled to find the floors and baseboards covered in sawdust, the walls, doors, door frames, baseboards, and quarter round damaged. The wall texture has been damaged, there are marks, smears, and scrapes on the walls. The baseboards are absolutely shot to hell with dents, black scuffs and scrapes, the boards are splitting where they meet quarter round. The quarter round was installed so badly that it is splitting where it meets the baseboard, doesn't even flush with the baseboard, and there are exposed nails and wood chipping off the quarter round and baseboards. My bedroom doors have chunks coming out of them where the installers knocked the flooring into the door, and all door frames have chunks missing or have been scuffed, marked, dented, and damaged. They also uninstalled my toilet and attempted to reinstall it. However, I have zero confidence that they reinstalled it properly based on the abominable work performed thus far. As such, they need to hire a professional plumbing company to reinstall the toilet properly. When I confronted the project manager, Enrique Juarez, he told me I should expect damages and it was on me to cover the repairs. I attempted to reach his superior but am currently being stonewalled by the company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, as they are not ethical and do not care about the quality of services they provide, or in this case, didn't provide.

Thank goodness I caught it before I left because I usually just walk out after starting a load I tried to clean it up only to realize there is no way I am going to be able to get this all up without spending hours and hours and I needed to get my son to school and me to work. Showed up, sucked that stuff right up, left fans, etc. etc. Came back and put my carpeting back together PLUS shampooed my carpeting. Wham bam thank you maam. The amount of prep work needed to get a quality and trouble free hardwood, or even engineered wood floor takes more knowledge and skill than one would think. It's more than just the installation. My wife and I have installed several floating engineered wood floors over the years and decided to do this one as well. But we have never glued flooring before. We hired Sam to come and do a moisture reading so we could determine the proper glue to use. While he was setting it up I asked a few questions which quickly turned into an education I could have not gotten anywhere else. We quickly realized how much more prep we needed to do. When the prep work was over, Sam, who out of the kindness of his heart, came to help us get the first few rows installed on his day off! He taught us troweling techniques, talked to us about layout and gave us tips that only an experienced installer would know. Sam spent several hours of his own time and asked nothing in return. You can tell he takes great pride in his craft and really want's people to enjoy what they purchase. I wish more craftsmen approached their jobs with the integrity, pride and skill that Sam brought to us. He told us he has been doing this for 20 years and shows! From start to finish we really felt like Stefan and his team were partners with us. They helped us select the right flooring even though it was ultimately less expensive than what we originally thought we would go with. Never did we feel like we were being up sold or pressured. 2) Delivery and quality. Stefan personally walked the job before and after everything was done. They did not ask for final payment until we were completely satisfied. Scheduling was awesome. They worked around all of our challenges and hit our target start and completion dates with precision. This was super valuable because it did not delay our move-in date. 3) Remarkable, genuine, and lasting Customer Service. This is the third thing, but probably the most important. It has been over a year since they installed our floors. We have called them back three times now for help with little things that we did not anticipate. Stefan and his team continue to provide excellent customer service even though there really isn't much money in it for them. The key decision I settled on Millennium was their in-house hardwood engineered floors....9.5 inches wide coated with polyurethane, European hardwood, and it is astoundingly beautiful. Pricing for this would have gone more than 13 to 16 dollars per sq ft at other stores if I selected a name brand. Let's just say that their pricing was far less and that you'll be hard pressed to find something of this quality at any other store in the area at this price range. Don't let the visuals in the store fool you into thinking that the wood is too wide and long. Buying hardwood flooring is like buying a tv set. It can never be big enough :) The quality of the work was also fantastic. Home depot and lowes saw the picture of my stairs and mentioned that it wasn't possible to work on because of the bottom step. There's no way to replace the bottom step and re-engineer with the new wood. The team did an amazing job overlaying the wood and reconstructing a new stair on top of my existing stair. It was absolutely unbelievable. In sum, I'm very happy about my purchase and am glad to have worked with Stephan, a very passionate, kind, and reasonable business owner who treats his customers right. I wouldn't hesitate to go with Stephan again in the future for any needs I have.
