So far, I've used Decor Carpet One in Tukwila for two…read morejobs: (1) tiling my bathroom floor with ceramic tile, and (2) replacing my carpeted stairs and upstairs with hardwood flooring. The first job was straighforward job, and the work was perfect and completed in just two days! The second one ended up being much more challenging than expected, due to the weirdness of my house. The first attempt had some issues: the bullnoses looked very different from the rest of the flooring (not an uncommon issue, I've since discovered), and there were issues with stringer spacing and sizing. I wasn't happy with how it looked. Mike was AMAZING. He had the supplier cherry-pick alternate bullnoses with grain that would make them look more similar to the rest of the hardwood flooring, and had his men replace all but one of them, without charging me for the additional labor. He also had them fix all the stringer and trim issues---which were non-trivial, to say the least. The job ended up being MUCH more labor than either of us had expected, and he never charged me for any of that---only for the extra materials. Mike was very responsive to calls and texts, even while on vacation (!). My bathroom floor and my upstairs hall and stairs look gorgeous. I couldn't be happier with them. Thank you Mike, and thank you, Bill---I know my house was frustrating, and so was I, so I appreciate you dealing with that and doing such a great job. Terrific work!

We had another company install a few years ago and this was a much better install. The stairs came out much better, they installed our baseboards as well. Highly recommend!

Mitch checked out our original carpet, plus the rest of our house, and made suggestions to compliment future updates. So, this week we commenced/completed these updates after 30yrs, re-carpeting all upstairs bedrooms, the landing, the stairs and our downstair formal living room/dining room area. Installer Nick (and some assistance from his son Justin!) diligently cut out all the pieces, making sure "they flowed together" working with us to do 2 bedrooms at a time, with us shuffling furniture and storage boxes back and forth in the evenings. Nick addressed numerous "floor squeaks" in the process, along with filling in some builder issues, prior to pad installations. We are extremely pleased and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mitch/Nick (& Justin) in the future!

Would not recommend…read more Before placing our order, we specifically asked about the return policy because, as remodeling contractors, we always purchase extra flooring for cuts and waste. Based on the information provided by their employee, we did not feel the need to scrutinize the fine print on the invoice. When we later attempted to return the unused material, we were told there was a 14-day deadline and a minimum quantity requirement--neither of which had been disclosed to us before the purchase. To make matters worse, they also sold us the wrong underlayment for a wood-on-wood installation, forcing us to spend more money to buy the correct product elsewhere. Management had every opportunity to make this right but instead hid behind the fine print and blamed their supplier. No accountability, no customer service, and no attempt to resolve a problem caused by their own staff providing inaccurate information. If you expect a business to stand behind what its employees tell customers, look elsewhere.

After finding the best contractors based on our needs, we went in to find flooring. We were greeted by Destry who took the time to understand what our short term and long term renovation goals were before walking us through the store and recommending different products we might want to explore. We were given space and time to explore at our leisure, with Destry a few steps away for any questions that arose. Destry was also incredibly patient when we were placing our order and contemplated changing out one of the items. And once the hardwood was installed and we realized we were short one t-mold, Destry was quick to make some calls and get us another one within a day of reaching out. The overall experience was significantly less stressful than other places we had visited where we felt pressured into buying expensive flooring we don't need given this is a temporary flooring solution. We will definitely return when we are ready for our major renovation.

Humph!.... Either you do... ? Or You Don't!…read more We wanted to consider a lazy-Susan for a blind-corner. .. our contractor worked with Krafter's land kitchen planner. Krafter's land only sales 'standard' cabinets. A standard Lay-Susan is 35 X 35 with a door opening of about 12-inches on each side. .. so.... How did my NON-Standard 33 X 33" lazy Susan come with 6" openings?.. 3-to- 6" inches less than the standard opening? I have three-Blind-Corners. Krafter's COULD-NOT accommodate a cabinet that would fill this whole area. They wanted me to accept a cabinet that would only fill part of this space. Hmmmm! Aren't blind corners a standard? And they don't accommodate? The planner's ambition seemed to desire to fill my walls with cabinets... it did not matter if the lower cabinets were aligned with the upper cabinets... did not matter. Putting in a two-door cabinet on one wall and putting two individual single cabinets across the way (thus minimizing my storage space).. and the there are the spacers .... An inch here, three inches there.. all eating up my precious storage space. Oh it Looks Gorgeous.... But nothing is aligned--- 4 cabinets up top, three on the bottom and none of the lines match. The cabinets themselves are beautiful!.... And I am a baker. I asked for roll-out shelves/drawers.... My baking shelf has 10# white flour, 10# wheat flour, 5# of both white and brown sugar..... guess what?.... Their roll-out shelves can-NOT carry this kind of a load... this load will cause dragging and musfunction. Hmmmm And the final clincher..... you buy- puck up and install--- they are yours. No returns. But they are pretty!

Prestige Flooring came through for us in a big way. We were moving into a house and we wanted to…read morehave the old carpet replaced upstairs before we moved all our stuff in. A week before we needed to move they said they would be able to start right away. Other flooring services said they needed 1-2 weeks before they could start. We were getting about 1250sqft of LVP installed in 4 bed rooms and a laundry room. After signing the invoice, Vlad's team demoed and prepped all the subfloor two days later. The day after demoing, they said they got the material they needed and went hard at work getting flooring installed. We communicated in advance that there were squeaks in the floor, we marked some of those squeaky locations for them, during the demo and prep they found more squeaking that they fixed for us. Their communication and pricing was amazing. Vlad kept in contact with us every other day via calls and texts. Any questions I had were quickly addressed by him and his team. Some other great details that stood out to me: One of their guys helped me move a heavy package upstairs without me even asking them. They saw I was about to move it and offered on their behalf During prepping they needed to take off all the doors and rehang them. They were able to rehang them better than when we moved in They did a good job at helping clean up a lot of the dust from the carpet and demo. They couldn't get all the dust as some of it required a mop The installers they have work fast and are quite experienced They labeled and organized all the baseboards/trim they took off and neatly put it in the garage. We chose to reuse it and they put it all back well. We just need to repaint it. You could choose to have them replace them and repaint them if you want. We are looking to have our downstairs floor done by them in the future. I was also pleased to learn that the Prestige also does painting at a very competitive price. We'll be looking to have them paint in the future as well. Tips for customers - Make sure you look at floor samples that include the seams, some samples may only show you a full piece so you may not see what the pattern looks like. Some lighter LVP wood samples may have sharp seam contrasts Mark all the areas on your floor where there are squeaks. After your floor is demoed, walk around on it and find more squeaks and mark them with an X using a marker so they are fixed up Get everything you want done in writing and signed off on Make sure the flooring service you go with includes a clause about an installation warranty in your contract. We met with Christine who was uncommonly knowledgeable, give us a ton of tips and things to consider, as well as let us look through the samples and talk amongst out selves. From there, we went home with a few different samples of LVP and carpet to better understand how each out actually look within the space. Once we decided on the materials, we worked with Jordan on scheduling and installation. The team at Long's are true professionals. Communication on delivery and installation was perfect too. I didn't need to be at the home for material drop off or installation, which made my life so much easier. From there, everything was finished in about 2-3 business days and the work looks phenomenal. On top of all of the above, the were the most cost efficient quote we received from flooring providers. Long's is so easy to work with and the work they do is unmatched.

We left that place after wasting an hour going around in circles with the staff and had only 15 minutes before we had to head back home for an appointment. Since we HAD to have things picked out on that day, we yelped nearby places and found BK C&G. We walked in, found the exact same materials we had wanted at the previous place, asked for a quote, which they provided to us in less than 1 minute, and it was less than 1/3 what the other place had quoted us. Also, they could have everything ready within a week (the other place told us it would take several weeks to ship from China...and that shipping would cost several hundred $$$ in addition). Best Kitchen Cabinet and Granite was straightforward about pricing and easy to work with (we ordered over email/phone). We had our contractor install so I can't speak to that service, but everything fits perfectly.

We love our new carpet, and about two years later we found that a section needed to be restretched (hallway with odd corners) and Carpet To Go's follow up services were just as wonderful as when we made our original purchase. Thanks to everyone we worked with, I will never buy carpet from anywhere else. I very highly recommend them!

I was referred to Carpet to Go through the Costco flooring program. I was a bit worried when I…read morelearned that many customers had some issues with Costco referred contractors for flooring. However, we were lucky to have Carpet to Go, who completed our kitchen/dining area flooring project. I was originally scheduled on Thursday/Friday, right before the Christmas. However, just a day before our scheduled day, I got a call from Carpet to Go that they would have to delay this project for a day. Then I started to worry more as I might not be able to get my floor done before the holidays. They did give me an option to do it after Christmas, but I already moved out everything from my kitchen, so I decided to reschedule to Friday/Saturday. On Friday morning, I got another call that the installer was unable to complete the work on time and wouldn't be able to show up. At that moment, I became very anxious. In order to do the flooring, I already moved away all the furniture in my kitchen/dining room. It would be lots of work for me to move things back and then move them out. I asked if the installer could come later that day, and they told me that they could try. Luckily, the installer called me to see if he could come over around noon. I said yes, and he showed up around 1:40 pm. The installer Ivan was great to work with. As soon as he arrived, he started to work on the floor. He also explained to me why he was late, which I could totally understand. He was very careful with all the details, and he confirmed with me before he proceeded. He also asked for my permission to work late, which I had no problem as I really wanted to get it done as soon as possible. The next day, Ivan showed up to finish the work. When he finished the work and showed me, he mentioned to me that my kitchen cabinet was falling, which I had known already but had no solution for it. He offered to fix it for me, but he wanted to do it through his employer. I of course am fine with that. In fact, it's better to do through the company with all the liability insurance. He was able to fix my cabinet and he even went beyond to find some matching wood pieces to make my cabinet look nicer. Overall, I am very satisfied with the service and the work provided by Carpet to Go. The price was a bit cheaper than other bids I had received. The customer service was great. A few days later, they emailed me to check in with me to see if I was happy with their work. Although I think they should have got a back up plan in case the previous project got delayed, especially during the holidays. That's the reason why I didn't give 5 stars. I appreciate very much that Ivan's hard work to make us enjoy our new flooring and use our kitchen during the holidays. I would definitely use Carpet to Go for my next flooring project.
