Every time I got here they have been over the top amazing with me. I had purchased a condo and none of the planks were left and I had no clue what they were, however I had found a piece that was very small and it had great floors on it this was a great way to start. I had a big job that was happening, I hired a contractor and we picked up several boxes which was fantastic. Grateful for the man who helped me, he identify the peace and ordered the boxes. Most importantly he knew based on my measurements what I need and it was perfect. (Im good at somethings, not all). The second time I needed to contact great floors I spoke with a different gentleman and explain to him the gentleman before was absolutely amazing and was hoping he could help me. I was getting the floor molding redone and needed a little bit more as they were redoning a bad job done. Called to find out some sad news- the company that supplied my planks are no longer making, producing, and cannot be purchased unless I go to Canada. Soo there is hope, but i'd have to buy alll 27 boxes. Soo at this time the floor is done, bc he let me have a free planks due to the inconvenience and helped me out! Recently purchased an entire first floor of Karastan LVP. Very pleased with the product and installation of product, but no one arrived on the scheduled start date. When no one showed we called Great Floors and found the installer was unaware of the start date. The installer arrived the next day loaded with incorrect thickness of plywood which had been ordered by Great Floors. The installer was an excellent worker and overcame this and other obstacles in the installation process. Great Floors scheduled the project over two days; the project took four days. Great Floors "compensation" was to issue a $100 certificate usable within one year on another project with Great Floors. Having just spent $18,000 we would have welcomed a more tangible compensation, cash, a Lowe's gift card, even a Starbuck's gift card. Great product. Great installation. Customer service...not so much. read more

I was hoping I wouldn't have to write this review. After again waiting for a response, this time a month, I feel it is time. I will start with the flooring we purchased. It is an amazing product, and I have no issue with it. Installation is another story. The baseboard cuts were off in several pieces where the corners join. They had to notch out for a dryer vent, and 2 shut off valves. All three of those cuts are horrible. Two of them were way too big, and the other was way too small. Then there is the self leveling that was laid. There was one spot about 3 x 5 inches that we asked to be filled. The installers went from wall to wall, and over a foot wide. It is now about a half inch higher than the rest of the floor. When you walk, you can actually jam your toes. Customer service has been a joke. This has been going on since April. Messages have gone unanswered. When I do get a response, it is weeks later. The installation manager was supposed to come out during the summer and look at it. That was ignored, and finally on October 8th we had a confirmed appointment. Then on the day, instead of her showing up, it was one of the original installers, and his manager. He looked at and took some pictures. He also went outside for a 30 minute conversation with another client! He then offered a couple of scenarios for a fix. I asked him to email them to me, so I had them in writing. Two weeks later, I called to let them know I hadn't received an email. It has now been a month. In my opinion, Great Floors has the absolute worst customer service of any company I have ever worked with. Their satisfaction guarantee is also a joke! If I could give zero stars I would! read more

My husband and I went to Great Floors in Kent looking for vinyl to replace the flooring of our basement laundry and hallway. We met with Sarah Doohan and immediately liked her. She provided excellent customer service and a lot of guidance regarding materials, costs, colors, durability, you name it! The initial quote was above what we wanted to spend and it was understandable since small projects tend to cost more. Sarah was incredibly dedicated and committed to finding an option that would work for us and did a great job. We love the vinyl we ended up selecting with Sarah's help and it ended up being more affordable than the original quote. We continued to interact with Sarah as if she was a friend because she is so friendly, caring, and committed to her clients. The installation was also very well done. There were some areas with imperfections and the installers, brothers Antonio and Julio, fixed them with the material they put under the vinyl. Seams are invisible. Such a great quality! Additionally, Antonio and Julio are very nice people. Friendly, polite, helpful, and cleaned up everything before leaving. All in all, we highly recommend Great Floors and staff, including installers. We looked at other options before going to Great Floors and couldn't find anything even comparable with the great solution Sarah offered. She did such an excellent job! read more

Came in on 2-6-22 and was greeted by Typhinee. She was very attentive and did a great job with making suggestions. We took home a couple of floor samples. Brought them back on 2-8-22 and unfortunately Typhinee was off. Nobody greeted me and I had to go ask for help. The person wasn't any help and just said "go look over there" and then went on to her conversation with another employee. I noticed 2 people sitting at the end desks just stairing out the window. TLDR- If you are serious about getting flooring done, go to Kent Great Floors and work with Steve Streeter. Hurry though, he is looking at retirement on the horizon. I shopped various flooring companies from Spanaway to North Seattle from boutique flooring companies to Home Depot- surveying friends and meeting with estimator from Angie's List. Nowhere did I find anybody as helpful and knowledgeable as Steve. Not only is he a multi-decade veteran of the housing industry, specializing in flooring for the last eight years, he is courteous in his manner thoughtful in his comments. He makes sure to match the customer to the right product, making effective recommendations, and in some cases even recommending against the higher tier items that every other shop recommended, relying on his background to help inform where the features would be wasted. Steve personally come out to our house to take measures, and was through in his mapping, strategic in the application of materials, and careful in explaining the plan of action when it came to moving forward. Knowing cost was a concern, Steve helped us identify flooring options that would work within our price point, that would meet or exceed our requirements for quality. After we found an option that worked in our budget, he helped me get rewards points by running the transaction on our credit card for no extra charge. Clearly Steve is recognized as a high-quality project coordinator already, whenever I've been in to work with him, he's had several customers he's waiting on. Nowhere, have I found anybody with his high level of knowledge, skill, and precision with product selection. He even had a specific installer assigned to the job at my house, and confirmed the appointment time each time we speak. When you come to Great Floors, let them know you need to work with Steve. No one else will do. Your confidence in the project and your budget will benefit from his care. read more

Ordered carpets a few weeks prior to day. Today was to be our install day. Confirmed by Steve last week. Today 2 minutes before the 8-10 am range a guy shows up, says he is the only one and oh he doesn't have our carpet yet. He'd start tearing out now and would have to go out and try to get the carpet. Oh and now it is a two day jobs which we asked quite a few times and was told no. Its a one day job. We now have nowhere to sleep tonight with 4 in the house. I can hardly believe they don't need 2 guys to install carpet at a minimum. With the stretching and all. For my 6500.00 for just 1000 sq ft, there better not be one mess up or they will be refunding me the money. Communication throughout has been sub-par. Wishing we went elsewhere but now we are stuck as it was paid in full read more

Not sure why people are so uptight about a flooring store...Who cares if they didn't answer your call within the 5 seconds you expect or greet you the second you step foot into the establishment. People are busy. Employees have "off days" too. Great Floors doesn't revolve around you, and I'm sorry if anyone told you otherwise! Typhinee was 10/10 helpful in all ways. The person that took a minute to finish her work and then greet me was friendly and helpful. I'm not expecting to be catered to when I walk into a flooring store.... We got a flooring sample for LVP and was provided an extensive list of colors that were in stock at their warehouse. Placed the order. Excited to install it. That's all! read more

We bought the flooring we wanted. The installer wasn't wearing a mask either. We are happy with the product and installation, but I'm very disappointed with the lack of concern for their customers. A Family member went to this store a few months back, had a unique Do It Yourself project which the Front Desk and Salesperson assisted him with and got him into the right carpet (which was less expensive then he had prepared for). I helped him pick it with my trailer and the process was fast and smooth. I then had a need for some new carpet for a commercial project. I went back to this store and had a great experience myself with finding the exact carpet that best met our needs for a great price. The carpet is now installed and our members are very satisfied with the results. I will return for my next project. read more

Absolute crap! I went in at 4 PM on a Saturday to buy a few cartons of vinyl flooring picked out the day before. We waited for 20 minutes to be helped, but nobody was available to assist us. We came back at 4:45, hoping that the place would have emptied out, and that we could pick up our flooring and be in and out quickly. 15 minutes before the posted closing time, the door was locked. While sitting at the locked door and knocking, the salesman (Harvey is his name I believe) pretended we didn't exist. The only people who were nice to us were the warehouse people who saw us outside and tried to be helpful (there was a little bit of a language barrier). If you want to close at 4:30, then post that as your closing time. If you post that you're open till 5:00, then don't lock the door till 5. I'm betting Lumber Liquidators won't pull this kind of crap. read more

When I initially ordered my laminate and carpet I was treated courteously and professionally. After I paid for it a few things changed. What I ordered did not come when they said it would and when I asked why it hadn't arrived they made excuses. Also I needed to order more product since they did not order the correct amount the first time and that also arrived late. I had to wait an additional week to finish my flooring since my installers had to move on to their next job. All through this situation I was trying to be reasonable since things like this happen, but the way I was treated by two different employees of Great Floors made it very difficult. My wife and I purchased flooring from the Kent store. The flooring was installed satisfactorily, but the installer lacked transition molding to finish the flooring around a fireplace. The transition piece was order and arrived at the Kent store about August 22, 2017. When we received no call for an installation appointment, I called on September 5. The salesman assured me that he would contact the installation manager to have the piece installed. A second call on September 19 elicited the response that the installation manager had been advised on the situation. A third call on September 29 brought the same response. On October 2, 2017 I drove to the Kent store, picked up the transition piece and installed it myself. Apparently, a small job for which payment had been made was of no concern to this business. read more

We purchased 900 sq ft of pre finished hardwood flooring for a remodel. The product was nice and affordable: solid 3/4in thick maple flooring in a beautiful light brown color. I was super happy with the product and price. About $2.40/sq ft. Also, our sales guy was friendly. HOWEVER, we ordered stair molding due to a step down living room and the special order stair molding (cost $300 for around 20 ft) was completely the wrong color! To make matters worse, the manager came out to explain that b/c it's special order, there are no returns. While I completely understand that, his delivery of the message was all wrong. He got condesending telling us that he's been a hardwood guy for many years and this stain color was as good as it could get. What?! It was at least 5 shades darker and would have stood out like a sore thumb. And you are telling me that a lighter stain would was not possible?? We had to sand off the stain by hand (very time consuming) only to discover the wood was not matching maple, but oak!! (perhaps why it was stained darker?) In the end, I found a matching lighter stain at Lowes and we applied ourselves. The floor ended up looking ok and we are happy with the end result, but were PO'd that we paid $300 for something pre stained that we had to sand and restain, incurring more expense and time. Didn't help that the manager was completely unsimpathetic: bad customer service from him. read more

We spend more than 14,000 on carpet and had life time warranty, We have some stains cannot come out and we been asking the Kent WA location to handle and they keep on giving us run around, I would never go to them for any purchase. Staff if crook and will not respond to our complains. Just talk to person name Tom on (425) 251-0200 and he would not give me his last name. Says Paul the manager with contact me. Do not make the mistake I made. Find another place for flooring! I should have realized there was an issue when after a couple of weeks of ordering the flooring and I called the sales person, Harvey, to check the status. He was on vacation, but after some help from the store assistant, Caty (the only bright spot of this and deserving of a better job in a better place), found out that the Marmoleum I had ordered was discontinued. No proactive call from Harvey or anyone else to advise me. (or you would have thought that Harvey would have checked first...) I had to return to the store to re-select the colors. Again when I called to follow up, I was told Harvey was on vacation (he has a lot of vacation time). It again took time to check on the status. The installer, Dave, was odd, but actually did a very good job installing. He said he did not need to remove the old flooring or underlay, and instead put a thin plywood underlay. Which was fine and worked well. He said I would get a credit for the labor that was not needed and for the less expensive underlay that he used. Now despite repeated calls, Rich the install manager checking, etc. there has been no further communications from them. No call backs, no responses to emails, voice mails, etc. Update as of August 1: I had a call from Paul Veldhuis, the store manager, who apologized for the issues I experienced. He was straight forward in admitting that they had dropped the ball with their follow up and responsiveness. They have now refunded the difference with labor and materials, which is greatly appreciated. read more

Even taking the time to explain why our choice was "garbage" and rolling his eyes at us numerous times. Product and sales experience were satisfactory. Our issue came with installation, where money in one of our dressers was missing after the installers completed their work. Filed a police report at Great Floors insistence which they then ignored because "the police didn't come and take fingerprints" upshot was the owner accused my Husband and Daughter of taking the money and refused to do anything about it. A new low in customer service not only taking no responsibility but accusing the customer of stealing. read more

I can't say enough bad things about this place. I went in to inquire about getting all new flooring for my home and my rental condo. The sales person was rude, slow and took 9 days to get me the price quote, and that was after I asked him for it twice. I should have listened to my gut, but I decided to go forward with getting new carpeting for the condo. I had to email the sales guy twice and call him twice before I could even get him to schedule the installation. I paid over the phone and asked for a receipt at the time I paid, and he assured me he would email me the receipt. Again, I had to email him THREE times to get the receipt. And then there was the installation. I was told that the installers would arrive between 8-9am. At 9:15, when I called to check in, I was told they had to change plans due to traffic (REALLY, traffic?!?!?!? This is Seattle, there is ALWAYS traffic), and that the installers would be there between noon and 2pm. I got at call at 10:30am from the installers saying they were there. But they were in the wrong place! The sales rep had given them the address for my home, not my condo. So they had to drive across town and were in a really bad mood when they finally arrived. The carpet looks fine. I got an okay price. But the service from start to end could not have been worse. read more

We had a bad experience with Home Depot regarding doing their job on-time. We were on a time crunch so someone recommended Great Floors. Called up the company - talked with Frank DeMiles. He was an excellent guy! Showed us the options of the carpeting. What was even awesomer was he came out to our place to do the measurement that evening! Old style measuring with a tape measure rather than those fancy laser and computer measurement. Love it! He even sat down to do the measures and figures at our table to make sure we are satisfied with the type and dimensions and pricing. We gave him our check right then. He even went to work the next day on his day off to make sure we got our order in time. I gave this a 4 star because it was unexpected that it would take the whole day for the installers to do their work. But they worked their butt off! 10 hours! read more
