I was referred to Carpet to Go through the Costco flooring program. I was a bit worried when I learned that many customers had some issues with Costco referred contractors for flooring. However, we were lucky to have Carpet to Go, who completed our kitchen/dining area flooring project. I was originally scheduled on Thursday/Friday, right before the Christmas. However, just a day before our scheduled day, I got a call from Carpet to Go that they would have to delay this project for a day. Then I started to worry more as I might not be able to get my floor done before the holidays. They did give me an option to do it after Christmas, but I already moved out everything from my kitchen, so I decided to reschedule to Friday/Saturday. On Friday morning, I got another call that the installer was unable to complete the work on time and wouldn't be able to show up. At that moment, I became very anxious. In order to do the flooring, I already moved away all the furniture in my kitchen/dining room. It would be lots of work for me to move things back and then move them out. I asked if the installer could come later that day, and they told me that they could try. Luckily, the installer called me to see if he could come over around noon. I said yes, and he showed up around 1:40 pm. The installer Ivan was great to work with. As soon as he arrived, he started to work on the floor. He also explained to me why he was late, which I could totally understand. He was very careful with all the details, and he confirmed with me before he proceeded. He also asked for my permission to work late, which I had no problem as I really wanted to get it done as soon as possible. The next day, Ivan showed up to finish the work. When he finished the work and showed me, he mentioned to me that my kitchen cabinet was falling, which I had known already but had no solution for it. He offered to fix it for me, but he wanted to do it through his employer. I of course am fine with that. In fact, it's better to do through the company with all the liability insurance. He was able to fix my cabinet and he even went beyond to find some matching wood pieces to make my cabinet look nicer. Overall, I am very satisfied with the service and the work provided by Carpet to Go. The price was a bit cheaper than other bids I had received. The customer service was great. A few days later, they emailed me to check in with me to see if I was happy with their work. Although I think they should have got a back up plan in case the previous project got delayed, especially during the holidays. That's the reason why I didn't give 5 stars. I appreciate very much that Ivan's hard work to make us enjoy our new flooring and use our kitchen during the holidays. I would definitely use Carpet to Go for my next flooring project. read more

OVERALL: 9.5/10 (Yelp Converted Score: 4.75/5). This carpet install happened during the COVID-19 timeframe, but since the restrictions were slowly widening, I was able to get a carpet install date for June 5, 2020. Che Lopez was the liaison I dealt with, but I actually purchased this carpet service through Costco; I got a 15% cash card (off of the subtotal) as a result! 1) VALUE FOR MONEY: 9/10. The total carpet cost came out to be under $2500, for 390 sqft of carpet being installed (2nd bedroom and dining area / main area). This cost included installation and removal of the original carpet, so this felt like a great price given the quality and premium look/feel of the new carpet. 2) QUALITY: 9.5/10. The quality of the underlayment was much thicker than the original carpet underlayment, so the carpet is slightly higher than the original (roughly 1-2mm), and the quality of the carpet itself is extremely plush and premium. It remains to be seen how long this carpet will last (I'm guessing between 10-20 years), but given that I loved the colour and quality of the carpet initially, I am pretty satisfied with my purchase. 3) SERVICE: 10/10. The installers that showed up were Max and Leo - they came promptly on time (window was for 8am to 9:30am, they called me at 9am to inform me of a 9:30am arrival); I have an 1100 sqft condo on the fifth floor, but I was only getting around 400 sqft of carpet replaced, since I had to put all of the furniture and whatnot into the master bedroom to accommodate the carpet replacement. Max and Leo are a great tag-team; they ripped out the old carpet in a jiffy, and installed the new carpet all within five hours (they had packed up completely and left by 1:10pm). After the installation was completed, they cleaned up efficiently: they swept up the previous install, and added additional carpet support pieces where necessary. Additionally, they vacuumed up any particles that were left behind as a result of the carpet cuts being made to fit the rooms installed in. read more

We replaced all the carpet in our two-story home (including hallways, odd-shaped rooms, etc.) and had an amazing experience with Carpet To Go. We made our purchase via Costco and found the experience to be really easy and the pricing more than fair. The salespeople were very helpful, and the installation people were very professional and fast! We love our new carpet, and about two years later we found that a section needed to be restretched (hallway with odd corners) and Carpet To Go's follow up services were just as wonderful as when we made our original purchase. I emailed Carpet to Go after seeing them recommended on a community website. They responded very quickly and we decided to go in to take a look at what they had to offer and get more specific pricing. We were greeted immediately upon entering the store and Sherrie offered to show us the different types of carpet that might suit our needs. We were able to bring home multiple samples which was very helpful. When I decided that I wanted a larger sample of one option, it was sent out via FedEx and we had it the next day. They came out to measure in person, and we had our carpet installed within a week of making payment. The installers were very polite and cleaned everything up. We obtained quotes from 3 different carpet stores. Sherrie provided us good customer service and the most reasonable quote. One example: 70 SqYrd Removal of old carpet vs 75 SqYrd from someone else. Over all, Marco (the installer) has done a pretty good job. But we would have felt much better if he had a partner with him so the job would not last from 9:30 until 8:00pm including my husband, son and myself all helping with cleaning up, put the washer & dryer back in place at the end. Marco mentioned that he's having a hard time finding a good working partner which we understand. He also worked non stop with no break which we didn't feel good about it either. Where to start? 1- They did not install the carpet I picked out in the rooms I chose and said it was a "misunderstanding" and of course the carpet and cost of install was higher for the carpet they installed. 2-They do not train their subcontractors. Well, the Mickey Mouse crew showed up and installed the carpet crooked through out each and every room! Would give zero stars if possible: Carpet To Go: The Carpet Criminals Decided to use this company to purchase carpet for a small bedroom (32 Sq. Yard) Checked out some other places but decided upon this company as it's not a chain, locally owned and operated. They quoted 3 different prices, each time increasing the amount of the quote. Ist issue and I should have run out of the store. I decided upon carpet that was more expensive than others I had considered. You get what you pay for right? Well not in this case. Buying high bought me low quality crap. I had also bought the supposed high quality carpet padding, yet the carpet once installed feels like cheap carpet. Flat as a pancake. This was the Mohawk Delicate Tones II. The Instore sample felt extremely thick to the touch. It was soft like velvet, dense, and luxuriously plush. I had envisioned waking up to luxuriousness each morning. What was installed was something quite different and terribly disappointing and flat. What ensued over the next 4 months was a wild goose chase of lies and games by these Carpet Criminals. The owners used all kinds of delay tactics first saying allow the carpet to "bloom". Then Gary Long, the owner came over when I reported that the carpet still felt very flat and cheap after awaiting "the blooming period" . He agreed and said he understood. Liz Long, his wife admitted many times that this is a common complaint that they do hear about from other customers. She said people make complaints saying" "This is not as thick as the carpet I saw" (in store). She assured me that after the "blooming process" there would be an improvement. No such luck. If anything, as this carpet is being vacuumed, it feels even more flat and cheap. Liz stated that Mohawk was "under obligation" & that the sample and the carpet should be the same, and if not, she will ensure that I am made whole and that justice would be served. No such luck. She is a liar. Gary came over and took some of the carpet that had been installed. Now I realize that this sample was taken for their purposes, not mine. He had agreed that the small instore sample felt more full and plush than the actual installed carpet. He was polite and assuring that everything would be fine and that a satisfactory outcome would result. More false promises. Just hypocrisy and lies. Liz made it sound as if she would really go to bat for me, the very disappointed customer. I requested to see the complaint/claim and it basically said "the customer does not like the carpet". This terminology is not good advocacy for the dissatisfied customer. I reached out to Mohawk, the carpet maker. They explained that you must go through the seller I.E. The Carpet Criminals Carpet To Go. They politely suggested that I seek legal counsel! Liz Long must have known that Mohawk would not deal directly with the consumer, yet she encouraged this wild goose chase. Liz Long made many dishonest promises and claims through the many emails over a 4-month period. Gary too stated "I reassured Belinda. That we are on her side for now and the future". Pack of lies. Liz stated "If we misrepresented ourselves or the product in any way or committed any business ethical errors, then we will take responsibility". False promises and more lies. She stated that she "fights hard with the mill for a fair outcome" Gargantuan Lies. And here's the biggest lie of all. Liz Long states "I am 95% certain that we can get all the charges reinstated" Yes - She actually wrote that to me in an email. How does she sleep at night? Endless emails back and forth with all kinds of false promises, stalling tactics and outright lies. This is by far the worst company that I have ever dealt with. The promises of making things right and adhering to high ethical standards could not be further from the truth. Carpet To Go is run by Sociopaths. That is the only explanation for the games they played and the false advertising and promises they made repeatedly. They receive some sick enjoyment from stringing the customer along with no good outcome at all, just 4 months of wasted time and energy. One other thing, this company takes the full payment up front with the rationale that the carpet has to be made and then sent out. Lesson learned, never pay the entire amount upfront. It's a sure sign that they are hostile, dishonest, greedy, money hungry people who know that if problems arise, once the customer has paid in full, we are royally screwed. read more

Immediately upon entering the front door, we were greeted by a very knowledgeable associate who asked a lot of questions about our residence, colors, price considerations, sq. footage, etc. Then, after collecting all of the information took us around the store and helped us pick out a half dozen swatches - all very appropriate for our needs. When tearing up the old carpet, the crew found some mold in my office. They were patient and willing to wait on installing the floors until after I had the mold remediated. My experience with Carpet to Go was perfect in every way. I tend to feel a bit overwhelmed any time I decide to make a major purchase, especially one that I will be living with for many years. After I did some initial carpet research I headed to Carpet to Go and it was smooth sailing from the moment I walked in the store. Tiffani was great to with and within a couple days I made a selection, placed the order and had an installation date. Marco and his assistant installed my carpet and they did a meticulous job with a challenging area. My living room has an irregular shape which is complicated by an angled rock fireplace plus a stairway (also carpeted) with a wood framed railing that goes to a lower floor. I (along with my cats) love the new carpet and I even considered sleeping on it the first night because it feels so luxurious under foot. Having replaced the downstairs grungy carpets and linoleum with hard flooring in 2021, this year we replaced the upstairs. I was so happy to see all that dirty, stained carpeting go out the door! We once again went through Costco, who uses Carpets to Go. This time, they only sent over one man, and I was skeptical that he could get basically the same square footage done within the same amount of time as the two man crew from last 2021. They said he is their best installer and guaranteed the timeline. He did all the demo, hauled everything away, installed a new sub floor, and installed all the flooring within 4 days. My floors look great and we couldn't be happier. Communication with the company is excellent and I highly recommend them if you are thinking of getting some flooring work done. Bonus: depending on when you hire them, you may receive a 10% or 15% Costco gift card which can be used towards shopping or towards a future contracted job.
