The store has a wide variety and is very well kept. There were plenty of employees to help but they were really good about not hovering as I needed ample time to myself to just compare colors. They also have a few displays towards the front of the store where they have created mock bathrooms so you can see what the tile looks like together. The free design service was great and Socorro was absolutely wonderful and knowledgeable. (She has moved to a different location since). For her service, 5 stars definitely. However, the "pro service" or material pick up service was less than 1 star. They did not release all the tiles to my contractor. I happened to go the next day to pick up a vanity top, and an employee in the back of the store where materials are picked up at said, "Oh, there's another pallet with your name on it". What...??? Due to their mistake, wrong tiles were installed in the kitchen. I called my husband immediately and the tiles had to be removed from the kitchen floor. A whole day was wasted. I had my husband double check what was picked up & found the extra tiles we ordered after the first purchase were not there. The employee kept on telling me; "It shows everything was released to your contractor". Yes, but you have a pallet sitting there with my name on it when your "system shows everything was picked up". "We are not gonna give you free tiles." What??? I'm simply asking for what I purchased. I waited over 2 hours on a hot day for the managers to "check the video", only to have them tell me they "counted their stock and they don't have extra tiles so that must mean my contractor must have picked the extra order we made a few days later than the first purchase". I asked if they checked the video as they first indicted & the reply was "no". I insisted they check the video and was told they have to "wait for more managers to be available". Why did I wait two hours??? They promised to call after reviewing the video. A manager, Anthony, called about an hour later to say; " We found your additional order in the warehouse on another pallet". No apologies or whatsoever. My time wasted waiting. Workers' time wasted because of wrong tiles. Being mistreated as if I'm trying to get "free tiles". I was fuming! If you buy supplies here, please double check and confirm they are releasing everything you paid for. Otherwise, you may experience the same agony I went through yesterday and have undue delays in your remodel. read more

Been to this store before and they carry plenty of tile to choose from. The last time I was here was about a year ago and enjoyed that they didn't bother you while looking at tile and had plenty of good prices. This past month decided to add a bathroom on the second floor and I came with a friend to choose a nice color combination. Got what I wanted and was out the door in no time. This location has a great amount of stock and helpful staff. I specifically want to mention Socorro Ruiz on the design services team. My husband and I have several flip projects in the works and while we have never had an unpleasant encounter with the staff at this location, Socorro saw us struggling one day and offered to help us come up with a cohesive design for one of our bathrooms. She took us under her wing and helped us find a great tile combo that was in budget and turned out beautifully. She also told us about the free design services and we were hooked. We looked for Socorro or made an appointment with her every chance we could because she has a fantastic eye for overall design, color combos etc. She's really good at giving you many options and working with you to make sure you are happy. It's a true GIFT to work with her. A huge plus is that she's passionate and knows all the products VERY well - and TRUST HER on her grout recommendations - you won't be disappointed. My wife and I recently completed a full DIY on our guest bathroom featuring floor to ceiling large format tiles. Total renovation for us so it was a big, daunting project. Luckily we have been able to rely on the help, expertise & insight from Brandon who we initially met at the Fountain Valley location. When you're learning as you go, being able to rely on the knowledgeable people at the store means everything. The Downey location is a bit closer to us but a lot less helpful normally, so we used to drive down to Fountain Valley just for the advice and great service. Now that Brandon had transferred over, this location just got a huge upgrade in our humble opinion. Went to Floor and Decor location in Downey on 5.14.22 I was not feeling well (actually just left the hospital) but I had to purchase grout for a project my contractor is completing. I bought a bunch of tile but forgot the grout. Jerry C. was the best. Jerry provided great customer service from start to finish. Jerry was patient and walked me all over the store to each tile I purchased and assisted me with picking the best grout for each tile. He told me to take my time and was not pushy at all. Jerry was so good I asked to speak to his manager so I good tell the manager how well Jerry did. When I come back to F&D in Downey I will definitely look for Jerry C. Service is friendly and have many employees walking around ready to assist. Plus the follow up on quotes is a nice personal touch. The only down side are the prices. My experience at this place was not good. Bad customer service. I don't think that these employees have been properly trained on dealing with the public. Some appear frustrated and others don't really know about the things they carry at the store. Downey has a long way to go with the employees they staff. I'm not saying that all were bad but one or two makes the store experience a negative place to shop. I drove to the store in Fullerton and my experience was outstanding. The majority of the workers appear to want to help and they always greet you when you walk inside. What a difference. read more

A huge shout out to Brandon Williams and Floor and Decor. My husband and I are older and we've been looking for flooring for our house for months. We've shopped other Floor and Decors and many flooring places in Anaheim. Today, Brandon helped us get the floor we needed for our house and he helped us so much. He also helped us get flooring to our car. He was patient and gave us information that we needed. He did it with a smile and never got frustrated with this old lady. Every time I apologized, he told me he was there to help me and make me happy. He was truly our guardian angel and we're thankful to him. First go round was not so great. I needed help with the square footage conversion to know how much tiles to purchase. Person #1 was sitting at the design center, after looking up from what she was doing and giving me an irritated look, she helped me by telling me the formula to figure out the conversion from my measurements to square feet. Person #2 tried to walk me through it by telling me how to figure out on my phone. Days later, I went back hoping for better luck. I saw an associate named Stacey, flagged her down for help. She walked with me to where the tile was that I was looking at, she figured out the square footage conversion to tile needed for me. We bought the tile. She even walked us over to the register. A few days later she even called to follow up on how the pickup had gone. I am not a professional, I am just a homeowner doing some work to my home. Stacey did not make me feel foolish for asking questions. This store needs more associates like her is all I can say. read more

Johnny is the rudest person I've ever dealt with! When I asked where the shower rods were he said "in the back" I then said ok where exactly in the back what aisle his response with an attitude was "it's literally over there in the back" then turned his back to me and laughed and started talking to two other employees. There's no sense of urgency here, they take forever to check you out while they have at least three people in the middle talking about what they're going to do over the weekend. My recommending, save your time and take your business elsewhere! You are better off going to Home Depot or Lowe's. Oh and by the way, they didn't have shower rods. read more

Since the minute you walk in to this place everyone acts very snobby no Hi! They don't even acknowledge you. I had to be walking all over the store just to get someone to help, and when you finally get someone they act like they don't want to be bothered. Only reason I bought the flooring is because I needed to get is asap. But the material is really cheap the tile already cracked. Oh and when I went to pick up my order it took more then an hour just to pick it up. Honestly it was just a horrible experience. read more

I worked with one of the designers her was Dominique and she doubled the quantities I needed, because she told me it's best to over buy in case the tiles go out of stock, and I could return anything unused. I found this odd to overbuy so much but I listened to the designer. This should have been a red flag. When I got the tiles home there were tiles that were several broken pieces. I called them when I opened the boxes and they told me I can bring it and return. I waited till the end of my project so I could return the unused and broken at once. When I went to return the pieces they manager was Lisa was very rude and refused to take the tiles back. They refused to take any of the broken ones even though it came that way and some of the extra pieces were a little dusty they refused to those as well. They said I was lying about it coming broken and I must have broken it myself. I bought over 100 boxes of tile. The tile was marble which is known to break easily. I can't believe the manager would claim she knew for certain it didn't come broken. I am sure they do not inspect every piece of every tile in every case. Such an unpleasant experience. I feel they guarantee the returns so people buy extra and than refuse the returns to up their sales. read more

Thank goodness we got in contact with free designer services offered with no appointment. Nirvana was the designer helping us with our project and she was amazing. Not only was she patient and had great listening skills but she helped us design our shower wall, floor and accent banner. We've done many remodeling projects but this is the first time going to this store and will definitely recommend this store and Nirvana's designer services to our friends and family. We came in Sunday morning to exchange some flooring that we purchased that was damaged. And they said to go get the replacements then we decided to get T molding and quarter round and Diana was walking by and asked if we needed help and we said yes so she said I'll be right back and she did and was extremely helpful with helping us find the color match of the molding because they only had a couple pieces and some pieces were damaged and so she called Alfredo the manager to assist us which he did and since they only had half of the footage that we needed he assisted in finding another store that had it! BE CAREFUL WITH LARGE ORDERS! Great quality merchandise but terrible delivery. They use a third party for delivery and if anything goes wrong they claim they are not liable because you as a customer should have known they contract out their delivery seAs a customer paying thousands of dollars, you will be taking a risk. At the time of my purchase of 1500 sq foot of flooring and tile, etc. the store also had to place a special order for a T mold for my flooring. I was told it would take 14-21 days for the T mold to arrive at the store. I was charged $75 for this item. The rest of my order was delivered a few days after my I store purchase. About two weeks after my purchase, I hadn't heard from the store so I called in when they told me that it "might" have been delivered to me or someone "might" have picked it up. The salesperson on the phone said he wasn't sure but someone had closed out my account when I hadn't received my order. read more
