I've had take out from them when they were at Lorraine Mills and had their food truck feed my team at work during the Covid days at a park. The fries, tacos, and bahn mi were 10/10! Recently I visited their restaurant in Cranston and was very pleased! It is super cute inside and everyone was friendly. Chef Korn really takes pride in her food and it shows. The story of how Ming's came to be---starting as a 6 month risk trial on an old food truck to a nicer truck for several years and then finally their own shop. What a wonderful journey! On my first time in I had the Thai-Tini (Thai tea with vanilla vodka) and it was very much so worth the hype I have seen about it on Instagram. The passion fruit lime aid mocktail also looked amazing! One of the guys we sat with had it and said it was very good! We had Khao Soi as a main and it was out of this world. So much flavor, detail and fresh ingredients put together to create an amazing dish. Wow! I would love to come back and try other dishes for sure. That's how upsetting this was. I ordered three steak tacos and got extremely dry hard AND stale flour tortillas. On top of that the steak was TOO well done and topped with lettuce and mayo/ketchup. It was disgusting and I wish that I knew what it looked like before I ordered it because I wish this never touched my mouth. I tried the chicken and shrimp Mozambique which was phenomenal. The shrimp and chicken were both cooked perfectly. There was a large portion of rice and crispy thin fried potatoes on the side. They were both delicious, but I would have to say the Pork gyro was my favorite. Both gyros were simple as they were served on warm and soft pita bread and topped with fresh tomatoes and onions. A very tasty tzatziki sauce was spread on the pita bread as well. I felt like the Chicken gyro was a bit on the drier end for my liking, but the Pork was perfectly cooked. The pork was super tender and well-seasoned. Everything was cooked to order and the incredible staff serving us was accommodating and super nice (even when I came back for seconds... and thirds to take home haha). The food truck is minimalistic and easy to spot because it's a bright red. I'd love to try their Spanish fries or Greek fries if I happen to spot the food truck! Since this was a catering event, the menu was significantly smaller but this meant there was a minimal wait time and I got my food nearly immediately.
