The food came out in about 20 minutes. The serving sizes were a little bigger than normal (I am not complaining), every plate looked delicious, and all the plates were hot and fresh. The mondongo was tasty and had a good amount of tripe and the right thickness of the broth. I chuckled when I saw the side of banana, but honestly, it made for a good desert. The bandeja paisa brings a litte bit of everything and it all was cooked well. The lengua sudada was very tender and flavorful and the yucca was soft, with the sauce it was in giving it a really good flavor. The res apanada was a bit tough and the breading did not stick on too well, but overall the flavor was good and the breading was crispy which I enjoyed. The best part of it all was the prices. It is very affordable and you will leave full.   The bakery is inexpensive and the items I have tried and good. They do have a large parking lot and it's free. While in the area, you could visit the Slater Mill (they have tours you could sign up for) or visit the public library. One thing to note is that the GPS might bring you to their old location a couple blocks up the street, so do a little bit of research for the address beforehand.

Since I'm not familiar with all of the combination plates, I ask questions, but instead of being helped, I'm charged separately for everything and receive very small portions. I hate to say it, but as someone who isn't Hispanic, I've often felt like I wasn't welcome there. Whether that's intentional or not, that's how the experience has made me feel. No customer should leave feeling like they don't belong. I drive from Providence because the food is genuinely that good, but great food can only make up for poor customer service for so long. Next came the plantain fries, which I was least impressed with as it was essentially fried plantain chunks. I think it would have been better if they were cut into smaller pieces that can be easily dipped and consumed in one bite. The plantain was gently ripe, so just a little sweet and the dipping sauce was like a less sour sour cream. Lastly, the lamp chops came out and the presentation was wonderful. A little after seven when we arrived and there were only a few other groups in the place. It seems like this spot get more lively later in the evening. We started with the arepitas dulces which were delicious: sort of like little fried dough portions made of cornmeal topped with cheese and served with a sour cream dipping sauce. Totally would go back just for these. For an entree we had camarones al ajillo, which were nicely prepared (no tails) and served with a super fresh sauce that included great, fresh cilantro. We also had bottled beers which are reasonably priced at $5.20. Note that there is a surcharge for using a credit card so recommend bringing cash. Our server was also working the bar as well as our table in the dining room so was a little slow in checking on us for more drinks but no big deal, especially for a more casual place.
