Grabbed a quick breakfast. It was delicious and cheap and made to order quickly. Highly recommended.

Warning, the price on the menu is not the price of your order. Last time they added 3.00 as a surcharge for the price of eggs going up, now after the egg price crisis is over you would think that the prices went back to normal. No, they give you a menu with no warning or reason for a price increase for a 9.00 breakfast that is now 12.00, $12.96 to be exact. Plus tip.. This is a 33 % increase, If the menu said 12.00 you could make your own decisions, here they slip the surprise after your meal. Not Good Policy, Here is the law: "When you place an order, you are "accepting" that offer, creating a binding informal contract. Because a contract is formed, the restaurant is obligated to honor the price it advertised, and charging a higher price without prior notification can be considered a breach of this contract and a violation of consumer protection laws prohibiting false advertising."

First timer came for breakfast this weekend. Awesome! 10/10 will come again. Not a ton of seating but things flowed well. Our server was super nice and helpful as we came with a baby. We got chilaquiles with egg and steak - huge portions and great seasoning. We got a pancake on the side and a kids meal which was huge. Can't wait to come back and try more!

This place was DELICIOUS. We came here for brunch, 2 adults and an infant. It's a small place with limited seating, but we were able to get a table shortly after arriving. We both got the chilaquiles with eggs and steak. I also got a side pancake. All of it was so tasty. I couldn't even finish my main entree. We look forward to coming back here. The food, service, everything was great. One of the best brunches I've had in RI, for sure.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Capitol Hill Taqueria is one of my top three diners in PVD. It is so cute and cozy, the kind of place you could sit in for hours.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is amazing. Their tortillas are so good, and very structurally sound. Their Mexican pancakes with condensed milk are to die for. And the portions are huge! I love topping everything off with a fresh pineapple juice. The staff is super nice too. They are so friendly and the food always comes out really fast, even if there's a bit of a crowd. I basically have a whole mukbang session there every time I go!

This place was pretty good. The service was great, they were so nice, patient and helpful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]As soon as you walk in your met with a great smell of food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was great, compared to the good smells though it was a bit underwhelming, some items were a bit bland and my chicken was big and tough.

A little spot on Smith Hill that serves Mexican food. It's pretty comparable to other Mexican spots like La Lupita or Órale, but what sets them apart is their fantastic breakfast menu. It feels like a classic diner complete with booths and stools next to the counter, and although it's a little on the small side and can feel a little cramped if it's busy. The service is excellent, as are the prices. If you love diners and haven't been here yet, I'd definitely recommend giving it a shot.

This place was delicious! I got the huevos rancheros, I asked for avocado on it but didn't get it (even though we were charged for it). It was still very tasty and yummy. The red sauce tasted homemade and the beans were the best part. The tortillas were a little hard to cut, but whatever. I was very happy with my rancheros, very delicious. I also got a delicious homemade strawberry juice! I drank it all before getting a picture.

Price was before 40% off promotion. Would definitely pay full price next time it was so good!

Ordered thru Uber eats because of their 40% off promotion. Can't believe I've never tried this place before but we will definitely be coming back!! Tamales are SO good! My hubby really enjoyed his hash breakfast and my baby loved the pancakes. The order came quickly and was packaged neat with utensils and ketchup/ syrup. Great breakfast from a hidden gem!

you know when you go to a new spot and you already can feel that you will become a regular? that is exactly how i felt when i walked through these doors. everything about this place is so freaking quaint and lovely. the exterior of the building reminds me that i am in new england, the inside gives classic retro diner vibes. the food was so delicious and so well priced. we got the chilaquiles and steak entree. and we shared the flan and it was delectable. the server was so sweet and attentive. and we did not feel rushed but it was quick service at the same time. i cannot wait to try all the other yummy items on the menu. oh and how could i forget they make their OWN tortillas in house and i could tell just from looking at them and then almost cried happy tears eating them. the whole place really tasted like i was eating in someone's home and they made me a hearty, quality meal.

Here for the second time! Trying out the breakfast

We ordered the chips and guac for 14.50, which comes with beans and salsa, and says says free refills (menu attached). We asked for one refill of beans and one of guac. When we got the bill, we were supposed to see charges for the beans and guac. Our server explained that the free refills were only for the chips and salsa. We asked to see a menu again and pointed out that it says free refills. Our server contacted the owner/manager who doubled down on the misleading statement and charged us for both refills (total of 10.50 additional cost). It's really a bummer because I had read a bunch of reviews on here and my takeaway is that the food is great but the management leaves something to be desired. Be upfront with your customers! It's a great restaurant with delicious food, I'm glad small businesses exist, and I wish that we had been treated with more grace and honesty. Losing $10 on your end (or even just being upfront and stating the refill policy on the menu) is well worth it for a positive customer experience. I would have loved to give this place 5 stars but took 1 off for the misleading pricing and another for the way that it was handled by the manager.

The menu is small and yet there's always plenty of yummy things to try when I go, even as a picky eater. There are multiple vegetarian and even a vegan option or two. I always have to get the guac when I come here - it's the perfect amount of creaminess without too much onion. Their red salsa is a great slightly chunky - slightly juicy texture and has a bit of a kick. The vegan burrito bowl is my go-to as a vegetarian, and the street corn side as an app is elite! It is a little spicier these days since the recipe was updated from on the cob to off the cob (I much prefer off for ease of eating and sharing!) The Coconut Cartel margarita was creamy and smooth and went down *quick* haha. Others in my party loved the spicy Margarito, although they were out of the main spicy tequila but the servers offered substitute recommendations. I came with a very large work group today, and the servers were so patient and flexible when we asked for modifications from the menu. I even was able to order the queso dip with the chorizo on the side (yummy but very thick cheese dip!), and they were very attentive of my colleague's mushroom allergy and made sure she got dedicated dishes, even when we were all sharing apps. The churro donuts seem to have changed recipe and got mixed reviews - some thought they were dry, another says she Uber Eats just those regularly Sitting outside in the summer on the patio is nice. Tasty, interesting dishes with modern urban twists on Mexican recipes. Truly the only slight downside is that sometimes parking can be tricky in this area, but you can always find free street parking, it may just take you a little bit. Even the funky and creative decor is a selling feature for me. A must-try!

But I'm someone that believes anyone can have an off day so overall this place is really great. First and foremost, get the margarita. They are the best I've ever had. Also, get the tacos. Even as an app they're so great. I got the shrimp and a veg recently. I've enjoyed all of the entrees I've ever gotten. Honorable mention is the shrimp Diablo. Super spicy and delightful. The interior is warm, cozy, and a perfect combo of lit enough so you can see but dark enough to set a mood for spilling tea or flirting with your date. Equal parts good for girls night and good for date night. The not so great: I got flautas once and they fell flauta (haha). Also, it's sometimes a one man show so service can be slow especially if you need refills so be sure to order multiple drinks at a time, or better yet a pitcher. Street parking can be a real pain but sometimes you get lucky on a side street. Definitely worth a visit if you've never been!

So we took a chance. And we were not at all disappointed! First, we were greeted warmly, in a genuine way, by the owner. They seemed genuinely glad to have us. The older gentleman was friendly and playful towards my son. The food was delicious! I had enchiladas with housemate mole. The mole was fantastic: complex and nuanced. My daughter had enchiladas verde, which was smothered in a poblano salsa that was also complex, with great green heat. My son ordered the arracherra, a peppercorn rubbed steak served with homemade guacamole and a delicious cactus salad. I was tempted by several other dishes, particularly the enchiladas mineras (beef cheeks - yum!). All in all, a warm, welcoming, delicious experience that made me want come back. And I will.

But, I have to admit that with Baja's being on the same strip, I didn't feel the need to deviate from something I knew was good and affordable. However, my friend was in the mood for a snack and spoke well of this place, so we went in and had 3 tacos. Originally, we were planning on only having a taco each, but I am so glad we went for the third because we demolished them. We ordered 1 shrimp taco, 2 steak tacos, and a jarrito drink. They have a solid selection of toppings that look and taste fresh and are free of charge on entrees (I am unsure if guac is included). The total was $14 and change which I thought was reasonable. On Tuesdays they do have a taco special, but we missed out by a day. They do make their tacos with two tortillas each, which to me is an invitation to make double the tacos by splitting the inside in half among the tortillas. I thought the flavor of the steak and shrimp were really good, and were tender - not overcooked. I am very glad I was introduced to this place and will be going back to try other items on their menu. The service was good and the food is cooked and prepared in front of you. There is street parking, and depending on the day and time it is free.

At their front patio, they had the World Cup game playing, but the back patio felt cozier so we opted for that. The inside though was a strong second since the lighting is very low, creating a cool and calm environment. Walking through the restaurant to get to our table made me realize that each table is unique, no two are decorated the same or have the same furniture. It was a hot day but the overhead mesh cover blocked out a lot of the sun. Our waitress made us feel very welcome from the start and told us about their drink and food specials. My friend ordered Guatemalan beer as well as a Spanish beer. For food, we ordered the plantain fries, octopus, calamari, and shrimp salad, and grilled lamp chops. The seafood salad came out first. According to the menu, it was going to be paired with cornbread. It looked like sourdough bread but had a far denser consistency. I was expecting the salad to have lots of shrimp to act as a filler but surprisingly, it was about 60% octopus, 25% calamari, 10% shrimp, and 5% onions. The seafood was very flavorful, tasted fresh, and cooked perfectly. The portion size was great for two. Next came the plantain fries, which I was least impressed with as it was essentially fried plantain chunks. I think it would have been better if they were cut into smaller pieces that can be easily dipped and consumed in one bite. The plantain was gently ripe, so just a little sweet and the dipping sauce was like a less sour sour cream. Lastly, the lamp chops came out and the presentation was wonderful. They were a bit skinnier and less tender than that I was expecting, but flavor wise they were good. We enjoyed the food, ambiance, and service here.
