    Pechuga A La Parrilla Lunch
    Kent S.

Rating: 4.3 Tried this Mexican American Breakfast place for the first time. It must be newer because I have not seen this place yet and only has few reviews. The place has its own medium sized parking space and wheelchair accessible entrance. Inside is very clean and roomy with large glass windows that allow you to see outside and bar towards back of the restaurant. They offer selections of classic breakfast menu as well as Mexican breakfast/lunch menu. We ordered Home made mango juice, water, cranberry juice, make your own omelet, and Pechuga a La Parrilla. Home made Mango juice was sweet and refreshing. My omelet which I chose chorizo, Italian sausage, mushroom and onions. It also came with home fries and toast. Omelet, toast and home fries were all delicious. Chicken breast on Pechuga a la Parrilla was moist and sauce added good flavor. They also provided fresh tortillas and homemade salsa on the side. Salsa was fresh and can taste the ingredients. Tortillas were okay. Service was quick and very attentive. Maybe because there weren't too many customers but it was almost too much which is not necessarily a bad things. Overall the place was a solid breakfast restaurant and would like to return and try other things on their menu. Only down side was that when I ordered water it was bottled water which they charged for. I didn't say because didn't want to make a fuss but feel like it should be clarified as most place serve water for free. Otherwise a great breakfast spot

From first impression, I could tell this place was new, clean, and a fusion of American Mexican foods~ Many open table and prompt, attentive service~ waitress spoke both English and Spanish. She was kind and made many check-ins to make sure we were satisfied, needed another dish or just to see if we needed a box to go~ I ordered a pechuga al parrilla and really got a sense of their delicious foods~ this dish is common in Hispanic restaurants and it didn't disappoint ~ it wasn't dry or overly greasy or burnt. It was perfect and the tomato sauce tasted fresh and unique with a hint of spicy, without being over powering. It was lovely, and enjoyable. They offered homemade hot sauce, and it was also very good without being too much. I would love to try a more spicy option~ I'd come back to this restaurant just to try more options. Tasted authentic and simple~ solid option for breakfast or lunch~

The parmesean fries were crispy, good amount of salt and the parmesean added the much needed flavor to the fries. The steak fries were made with steak tips and it was a generous amount. I wasn't a fan of the tacos because the steak was salty and cooked more than I liked. The soda water was flat, like no carbonation. Please fix that when you guys have some time. The restaurant itself was spacious and the owner told us about how it can be rented out for events. I would consider renting out this space for an event, but don't think I'd come back for the food because it wasn't hitting the spot. The owner did intrigue me with talking about the chorizo sandwhich. I can't really recommend the food, but I guess you can try it and let me know! -ODL Connect with me! IG & YouTube: @AOEAT

It was nice looking, but not overly bright to school in the dark side. The young lady that waited on us she was very nice. She had her daughter which I totally understand the no daycare issue for people that's not even an issue for me. I'm just making a statement. We were there doing the sandwich passport and she offered us a couple of different things. A chorizo sandwich which since we had so many to do today and that was our first stop I was afraid I'd get a stomachache eating something too spicy so I did not get that. And said we got a chicken sandwich she offered it. I don't remember the name of it but when it came, it looked attractive, but it was very thinly sliced and it also was very tough to eat once we've been into it. We had put mayonnaise on. It still didn't help. It was very tough to eat. It was stringy. I have braces. It was very uncomfortable. I couldn't really chew it or anything however, we did order it didn't come we ordered french fries I asked you have homemade maybe the homemade or we have the frozen. I said she's always checking so she checked and they had the homemade ones we had those those were amazing like we ate all the french fries we just could not eat the sandwich. It was very disappointing. It was supposed to be $13 but I'm glad we had it free from the passport because I wouldn't have paid 13 for it unfortunately it was one of the worst ones I've ever had. And even though she gave us a special menu of specials that are $10 or less Monday through Friday like sandwiches and fries or a drink or whatever we probably won't be back and I feel bad because she is a nice person. She's very friendly but unfortunately, the sandwich was really a put off for sure. They said they've been open for a year and a half and I'm not really sure how because like I said we were just disappointed. I mean, they might have been good for other passports to save it on something else, but they weren't for this one here.

The pics speak for themselves I think. The drinks are huge and let me say they have a heavy pour there. They even let me tweak their spicy drink to make it a weird version of a Bloody Mary. the salsa and chips are complimentary, which I love. And both delicious. The chips are thin lightly salted and warm! Yes!!! I got the fajita. It was exactly what I was expecting and wanted. Nicely seasoned tender steak and chicken strips on slightly charred onions and peppers. If I had to complain here, it'd be I like a ton of onions and peppers. Their's is more meat heavy. Not really compliant though, am I right?! Everyone else enjoyed their meals and I have to say it's a ton of food. Not the cheapest place but I feel fair for what you get and yummy. With 7 boozy drinks, 4 entrees and couple extra "side items" ie. A horchata etc it came to about $50pp. It would've been 1/2 that without the boozy drinks for sure. Anyhoo.... Do I recommend? Absolutely! We will be back to eat and drink up another evening until our hearts content. In the meantime, enjoy your meals and... CHEERS!

The overall experience left a mixed impression - great location, interesting menu, somewhat slow service, issues with the food & timing confusion with the daily specials. Before heading to the restaurant, I checked out the website & the daily special pop-up board said "Join us every day from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM for our $2.00 Street Taco Special." Great! Let's do a couple of tacos along with some drinks. Unfortunately, the waiter said it was only 3-5pm &, even though it was 5:05pm, they wouldn't do it. Okay... so we moved on. Hubby ordered a Modelo Especial & I went with passionfruit house margarita. It was a little too sweet for me so I asked for a little soda water to dilute the passionfruit syrup. We are both huge fans of pozole & you don't see it on a lot of menus. It is a traditional Mexican soup made with hominy, pork & broth - either red or green. We should have asked because we prefer green but it was the red variation. It came with a platter of toppings so you could customize each bite. The broth was nice & spicy. Unfortunately, the pork was more grizzle than meat. Hubby selected the Wet Burrito: a large flour tortilla stuffed with grilled shrimp & chicken, rice & queso dip, then doused in more queso dip with pico de gallo, guacamole & sour cream as sides. It was ginormous but consisted of very little shrimp & chicken. I wasn't super hungry so I ordered the appetizer pork belly chicharron. Good-sized pieces of nicely charred cubes of spicy pork. It came with pico de gallo, guacamole, beans & warm tortillas. It was delicious! As the restaurant is still relatively new, they still need to iron out some of the operational kinks & hopefully will settle into its groove. We will be back (from 3-5pm) to check out the tacos!

But I'm someone that believes anyone can have an off day so overall this place is really great. First and foremost, get the margarita. They are the best I've ever had. Also, get the tacos. Even as an app they're so great. I got the shrimp and a veg recently. I've enjoyed all of the entrees I've ever gotten. Honorable mention is the shrimp Diablo. Super spicy and delightful. The interior is warm, cozy, and a perfect combo of lit enough so you can see but dark enough to set a mood for spilling tea or flirting with your date. Equal parts good for girls night and good for date night. The not so great: I got flautas once and they fell flauta (haha). Also, it's sometimes a one man show so service can be slow especially if you need refills so be sure to order multiple drinks at a time, or better yet a pitcher. Street parking can be a real pain but sometimes you get lucky on a side street. Definitely worth a visit if you've never been!

The older gentleman was friendly and playful towards my son. The food was delicious! I had enchiladas with housemate mole. The mole was fantastic: complex and nuanced. My daughter had enchiladas verde, which was smothered in a poblano salsa that was also complex, with great green heat. My son ordered the arracherra, a peppercorn rubbed steak served with homemade guacamole and a delicious cactus salad. I was tempted by several other dishes, particularly the enchiladas mineras (beef cheeks - yum!). All in all, a warm, welcoming, delicious experience that made me want come back. And I will.

The menu is small and yet there's always plenty of yummy things to try when I go, even as a picky eater. There are multiple vegetarian and even a vegan option or two. I always have to get the guac when I come here - it's the perfect amount of creaminess without too much onion. Their red salsa is a great slightly chunky - slightly juicy texture and has a bit of a kick. The vegan burrito bowl is my go-to as a vegetarian, and the street corn side as an app is elite! It is a little spicier these days since the recipe was updated from on the cob to off the cob (I much prefer off for ease of eating and sharing!) The Coconut Cartel margarita was creamy and smooth and went down *quick* haha. Others in my party loved the spicy Margarito, although they were out of the main spicy tequila but the servers offered substitute recommendations. I came with a very large work group today, and the servers were so patient and flexible when we asked for modifications from the menu. I even was able to order the queso dip with the chorizo on the side (yummy but very thick cheese dip!), and they were very attentive of my colleague's mushroom allergy and made sure she got dedicated dishes, even when we were all sharing apps. The churro donuts seem to have changed recipe and got mixed reviews - some thought they were dry, another says she Uber Eats just those regularly Sitting outside in the summer on the patio is nice. Pineapple juice was tasty and natural so it wasn't too sweet. It was foamy maybe from blending with blender? The tacos were pretty good. Everything was seasoned well and came with some spicy sauce and lime. Personally I liked the chorizo and fish tacos the most. Steak/al pastor was a tad bit dry but wasn't bad. Service was good. Took a but for food to come out but I can tell they make a lot of things in the restaurant and prepares it after its been ordered. Overall, the place was good.
