    General Tso's Chicken Combination Dinner

I have not been in a while but I got the chance to stop in for early dinner. The food is so good, consistently fresh and tasty. Always my recommendation if asked where is my favorite Chinese restaurant. The service always friendly and quick. The place hasn't changed much over the years but vibes like visiting old friends. If you have not tried it a must stop.

Service was good, just the right sized portions. Good food, not over cooked. The chicken was not dry at all.

Service was supper fast. I ordered a PUPU platter , pork fried rice and moo goo gai pan. Spareribs were excellent, big with lots of meat and they were not dripping in that sweet red sauce. Chicken wings were coated in teriyaki sauce but were not super sweet or greasy. They were nice and crispy on the outside and juicy in the middle. The beef teriyaki was cooked really well, juicy with lots of flavor. Again not overly coated with teriyaki sauce. Wontons were super crispy and not greasy. Egg rolls had great girth but not great length. But they were nice and crispy not greasy and I loved their stuffing. The moo goo gai pan was also delicious, all the veggies were still vibrant in color, chicken was tender and the sauce had a great Subtle flavor . The scorpion bowl was a little small but tasted really good not too sweet. Fried shrimp and chicken wings were heavily battered but not greasy. I would definitely come back and not just for the food but for the service!

One of those old school Chinese/Polynesian restaurants that you don't see any more, which is reason enough to go there. The food is delicious and if you're into tiki drinks, you're going to think you died and went to heaven.

Still the best Chinese food around. I moved to Texas 4 years ago and nothing down here compares. Visited this past weekend over Memorial Day weekend while back in RI and they haven't lost a step! H7 and a side of house wings with a scorpion bowl. Fantastic!

The service was terrific, with our waitress being very friendly and helpful. The beer selection was OK, nothing to write home about and a little unusual for a Pub. But the ones they did have were decent. Our food was fantastic. We had Scallops and Tuna with their secret sauce, which was outstanding. Definitely try their wedge fries.....very good and a lot of them. Not a huge coleslaw fan, but they have one that has a real nice kick to it. Try that as well. The only reason for 4 verses 5 stars was the list of things they didn't have on a Friday night. Things that you would assume are staples on their menu, were unavailable. Just kind of odd and not really sure what it means. And these items weren't anything we wanted, so no harm no foul. But still.... Try this place, you won't be disappointed.

Why isn't there a bartender on? Servers are taking orders and making their down drinks. STOP USING THE POURERS to measure alcohol! Not a good look when a customer watches your drink being made with those. Staff does not wear a uniform either.. zits just odd. And we wonder why the bar is always empty! I will say, There was a decent woman in her 40's working there for a few weeks on Saturday nights . She was wonderful!, and could actually make a drink! I haven't seen her in months. I can't lie, one evening we couldn't help but watch her try to pretty much jug the entire restaurant and make everyone's drinks because the other staff were clueless. One waitress was working with a surgical boot on her foot that went all the way up to her knee! Talk about a Liability! . I haven't seen that other server there in quite some time. I could only guess that she took her experience elsewhere. She was way too overqualified to be working in that establishment. She could handle that entire restaurant by herself. . Either that, or she ran out that restaurant door because she saw how the place was run! It's unfortunate because the food is delicious. But we just can't go there anymore. It's a nightmare.

Saint Martha exudes an old-world, Euro-Chic charm that immediately wraps you in a cozy, comfortable feeling. The details, from the original pressed-tin ceiling to the quaint glass/wood wall separating the kitchen, all add to the ambiance. We started with a complex Black Onion Garlic dip with house-made potato chips. Straight away, this puts everyone in a good mood. Our appetizers consisted of Roasted Farm Carrots & Beets, Lamb and Beef Meatballs, and Citrus & Radicchio Salad (party of 4). All were expertly crafted, creative, and delicious. Of special note, the sauce served with the meatballs was "finger-lickin good". For entrees, we ordered White Lamb Ragu, Roasted Lamb Loin, and Nettie & Ramp Pesto Fettucini. Each dish was beautifully presented and generated a lot of excitement at the table. The roasted lamb, which was perfectly cooked medium rare, was succulent. The house-made, melt-in-your mouth pappardelle pasta served with a ragu sauce put me in the zone. For dessert, we enjoyed 2 servings of a Frangipane buckwheat tart with Almond ice cream. This unusual creation was a homerun. A 32-ounce French Press was enjoyed by all. It's not easy to produce such a meal. Co-owner / Chef Keith and his staff deserve kudos for turning out consistent, extraordinary fare that transports you to a fine European café. The quality of the ingredients, all locally sourced, shine in every dish. If you want something special, look no further than Saint Martha.

The menu isn't overly extensive but we all found dishes that appealed to us. My wife and I shared the Napa Caesar salad - very tasty and unique. I had the White Lamb Ragu with home-made papperdelle (fabulous, rich, flavorful). Wife had the Artichoke Fettuccini with cured egg and she loved it. I started with the Instant Crush, an upgrade from a traditional margarita. She had the orange wine which was bright, not overly sweet and surprisingly refreshing. Service was spot on. Ambiance was lively (small place with as many tables as could comfortably be set). Parking is easy. We'll be back!

We ordered the mini stuffies, the hummus plate, and the fried pickles. The mini stuffies were a highlight. Loaded with Mello's chouriço and packed with flavor, they're a solid little bite. My grandfather set the bar pretty high for me on stuffies, and these came close. They have a different profile than what I grew up with; a little less bready, more chouriço forward, and the clam flavor takes a back seat. Not necessarily a complaint, they were just different from what I'm used to and were genuinely tasty. The lemon aioli on top was also a nice touch. The fried pickles were exactly what you want them to be. Crispy, well fried, and the breading actually stayed put while you ate them, which is more than I can say for a lot of fried pickles. They came with the same lemon aioli as the stuffies, which worked just as well here. The hummus plate was a bit of a letdown. We've had it many times before and it used to be a standout. This time the hummus itself was thick and pretty flavorless, more like a dense chickpea paste than anything else. The accompaniments were nice though and consisted of heirloom carrots, cucumbers, olives, cherry tomatoes, asparagus, pickled cauliflower, carrot, and a pepperoncini, all served alongside some buttery round crackers that were like a Ritz cracker's more refined cousin. The veggies saved the plate, but the hummus needs to find its way back. I suppose it could have just been an off batch and won't prevent us from trying it again. Cocktails were great, as usual. I had the Anana with scotch. I love pineapple and this has muddled pineapple and basil, pineapple juice, cracked black pepper. It's my go-to here and it delivered again. My partner went adventurous and ordered the Jungle Booby, which is built around tequila blanco and mezcal with campari, pineapple, grapefruit, lime, orgeat, and an absinthe spritz. The flavors were genuinely good, but the smokiness from the mezcal was a bit much for her taste. She followed it up with a glass of rosé and had no complaints after that. The cocktail wasn't the problem, it just wasn't her style. One of our favorite spots in Warren for a quick nibble, for a good reason.

They have a daily menu, and I've had some friends suggest this place as their favorite restaurant. We parked blocks away due to the lack of adequate parking. Once we walked in, we were greeted with pleasant smiles from the staff. The menu was short, which we attributed to a focus on quality. We ordered a French onion dip and a littleneck entree as an app for the table. We were served with lukewarm water, neither cold nor hot. The apostle John might have been somewhat disappointed (Rev 3:16). The dip was decent but was somewhat lacking in great onion flavor. But nothing to complain about. The little necks were served in a small bowl and lacked a bit of salt. Rather pricey for $26, but this place charges $6 just for bread and butter, so maybe it's just inflation? Enter the entrees. They apparently were short on chicken legs so they asked to substitute chicken breast. Two of us got burgers. First the $20 burgers, which were served with an aioli with no offer of ketchup or other condiments. In short, both burgers were terrible. Far worse than we make at home. It's always a disappointment when you realize you're paying all this extra for food you can make better at home. The buns were shockingly flat, like someone smashed them by hand. Or in a McDonald's box. Come to think of it, the flavor was similar, though overall the hamburger was somewhat bitter, salty and lacked an appetizing flavor. Wow. We all agreed they were terrible. The fries were also burnt and over salted. My daughter quit on her $30 chicken, so I tried it. The sauce wasn't bad, and it was served with a decent brocollini. But the chicken was some of the driest I've had in a restaurant, with no crisp skin and a uniformly poor texture. No wonder no one finished their entrees. And I hate wasting food. So, as much as we would have wanted to give this place a great rating, we just won't be back. The service, although with a smile, was slow and terrible. Our candle burnt out in the middle of dinner. It was never relit. Our glasses were empty halfway through dinner. No refills on the tepid water. The entrees took an hour and a half before they came out (we were warned the chicken could take 30 min). Generally a very disappointing experience. Hard to explain the rave reviews but our Saturday dinner was a sad bust. The cold wet madeleines they provided in a doggie bag didn't do anything to help. Oh well. Hope y'all have a better experience if you go here.

We were having a lovely dinner in Warren and stopped into Bywater for a quick after-dinner drink. It was a bit cooler out but since they had no seats in the extremely limited bar area, we took the plunge and sat outside near their fire pits. They did not have many wines to choose from BTG which was disappointing. The one I had which was Cinsault was just ok. I had to dump out most of it since I did not enjoy it but that was my fault since sampling it I thought I liked it. My friend had the bartender make her a cocktail with grapefruit since they did not have pineapple. She was looking for a French martini but seemed to enjoy what they made her. My husband's espresso martini was very good I thought and light but could've used some bailey's. We already had dessert so we did not plan on anything else but I know I am interested in returning for dinner. The restaurant is very small inside but I loved the warm lights and decor. It was a very sexy and attractive vibe! If you are ever in Warren I highly recommend coming here for either drinks, dinner, or both. Dress warm if you plan on heading outside to sit near the fire...it does not give off that much heat! Cheers!
