I found a pair of New Balance tennis shoes for 30% off and I found a pair of dress shoes for 40% off. The value you get for your shoes is magnificent! The service is good from the staff. They are willing to help you find a particular brand of shoes in your size if it is not out on the display floor. They do go the extra mile for you if you need something. I've been loyal to the Asics Gel Nimbus for a few years, until the brand changed the style of the shoe into more of a Hoka. So, it was time to go back to Athletic Annex and find something new. Depending on the day of the week and time of day, you may be helped immediately or need to wait a bit. I was greeted by an employee who had me step on the foot analysis machine and walk on the treadmill to analyze my gait. They had just received new AI technology. She went over the results and pulled a number of shoes for me to try. Athletic Annex sells all the top brands -- Hoka, Brooks, On Clouds, Asics, New Balance, etc. I think it's well worth it to come to a running store like this (even if you're not a runner, like me) to see what is going to be best for you and your feet. My only comment is I was hoping for the sales associate to be more knowledgeable about the shoes and guide me through the process a bit more. For example: what made her select those shoes for me to try, what are the differences, what should I notice when walking in them around the store, etc. Personal preference on what I'm looking for in my shoe buying experience!

I had a very weird experience at Dicks yesterday. I went in to return items purchased online. PayPal is of course the most prominent payment option on the Dicks app. Furthermore the store manager informed me that I should never use payment methods like PayPal or Apple Pay on the Dicks app. This didn't sound right to me so I left the store and started an online return, returning the goods by mail. This was a frustrating and disappointing experience.

One of the pairs, my Footjoy Classics Spikeless, stopped being produced in 2009 so I wasn't sure how difficult of a project this might be for Mike. Turns out they look better than they did when they were new! More support, better constructed, and they look brand new. Then I found Englin's Fine Footwear after days of searching. I was nervous, never heard of them. Turns out they're a local Indianapolis company. They had three sizes left; my daughter's an 8.5, but coworkers said to size down. They had an 8. I was so happy, I ordered them after agonizing over whether the site and shoes were legit. I opened them right away - real Uggs, perfect quality! But then I worried they'd be too small. Everything I searched said to size up, and they were sold out by this time! I emailed customer service, freaking out, asking if they'd get more. They weren't sure but said I could return them within 365 days. Christmas morning, they fit perfectly! After dazzling them up, she wore them all day, then all day again last weekend. She says they're super comfy, no sore feet. It's her first pair of Uggs, and I think she's hooked.
