They sell shoes in here and they do it well. This is my son's shoe store and he likes it because they truly care about fit and comfort. They keep all his stats on line, so he doesn't have to spend much time in the store looking. They know what he wants and he gets a new pair every 6 months or so. I like the professionalism inside and the staff really knows there stuff. High quality shoes, service and a super location make this shoe store one of my favorites. We were able to get my son a new pair of shoes for christmas without his knowing and we are comforted to know they are going to fit. but the color... we will soon find out! read more

The customer service is great. The man who helped me was knowledgable and kind, even when I told him I was not a runner at all. I just wanted to peruse their shoes and look for something to wear while I walk. I wanted something that would make me look more athletic than I currently am. The man had me take off my shoes and made me walk down a runway to analyze my gait. He determined the kind of shoes I needed just by watching my stride, and had me try on a couple of pairs. Both were super comfortable and seemed like they were good for my feet. I didn't end up buying anything here because I'm not a runner and I don't need top-of-the-line running shoes. The Runners Forum is a great store for runners (as the name would suggest)! I have been to this location multiple times, with the purpose of my most recent visit being to donate a pair of my old running shoes. They had a week-long promotion where you could donate your old running shoes and get $15 off a pair of new ones - a win-win! The associates at this location were very helpful. I asked them multiple questions about sizing and they were very knowledgeable about how the shoe should fit. The only thing I wish they would have done was to offer to help me fit the shoe, so I knew that I was absolutely getting the right thing. During my last visit, I also asked about a running jacket. I told the associate what I was looking for and he told me that a pullover that was made from a certain material would be better. I really appreciated his insight and guidance on this so I didn't get the wrong thing! During all of my visits to the Runners Forum, the associates have been very knowledgeable and helpful. This place is a little pricey, but it is a price that I am willing to pay for the good advice and peace of mind knowing that I am going to buy running gear that is both quality and right for me! read more

Great runners (triathletes) shop in Broadripple. Kind employees greet you as you walk in. Wide open shop... all products are around the outside of the shop. And I found out why... they will have you walk or jog around in the wide open space to watch your movement to analyze and help put you in the best fitting shoe for you. Yay! Very knowledgeable about products. Although I didn't make a purchase, I enjoyed checking out the shop and knowing it was available for my needs when needed. Great large show selection. Because their specialty is running they staff their store with sales reps that are knowledgeable about running and can gauge your running style by a few simple steps. After watching you run they are then able to suggest the right shoes to prevent injury. I can say that I've been to almost all the running stores in the Broad Ripple area. I gave the store at 3 stars because I don't think I quite got the service and attention that I have gotten at other running stores. I found the Runners Forum A-OK. They don't carry Nike's here which is fine but I was looking to replace my Nike Free Run 3's and one of the suggestions was with the Saucony Kinvara's. Unfortunately, they didn't have my size. They did call up to their other location, but they also didn't have it in stock. Too bad as the Kinvara's were a great suggestion! Not terribly wild about The Runners Forum or the new location. They have been expanding like crazy but there is just not that much in the store that you can't just buy online. The staff is either helpful of you may get a sense of elitist snobbery it just depends on who is working. The new store is in a Prime location on the main corner in Broadripple, couldn't ask for a better spot unless your trying to park. If you are looking for parking you'd do better biking in as there is rarely parking close by. All in all I was unpressed by the offerings at the new store :( however they have always been great when it comes to the running community with packet pickups and things of that nature. read more

I was in and out of the store within 10 minutes. I brought in my original pair of shoes to donate, which helped the associate help me find a similar pair and size. She had me try on 3 pairs; I narrowed it down to 2, then wore a different shoe on each foot to compare even more. I jogged up/down the short track to get a real feel. I'm a casual runner but I get runners knee if I wear poor quality or old shoes. TRF makes it easy to get a great pair of shoes, fast, along with recommendations and great info! I've been running (if that's what you call it) for close to a year now, and I was quite shocked to receive a $100 gift card to this place for Christmas. I was only vaguely aware of it, having stopped in Broad Ripple to walk around and window shop. When I came in shortly before the new year, I decided that I'd like a pair of running tights and a utility belt for when I run outdoors, which left me having to pay $27 after presenting my gift card, but you get what you pay for, right? Fast forward to three months later-- I get shin splints! Wanting to know what I should do to prevent them on future runs, I decided to sign up for their Good Form Running clinic. The instructor was also the store's manager Jesse, who took a video of me running along the sidewalk by the store so we could view it and see what I'm doing right and wrong. Come to find that when I strike the ground with my foot, I come down heel first, which is a huge culprit for getting shin splints. With the clinic, I learned that a midfoot strike is the best, and the best way to do so is to keep a cadence of 180 steps per minute. As a thank you, I received a coupon for a $20 gift card with a purchase of a shoe and sock combo on my next visit. Upon my return to the treadmill, I used the techniques I learned and voila! No shin pain. As I'd had my trusty Adidas shoes for about six months, it was time for a change. Knowing that they offer gait analysis, I told the sales clerk Erica that I was in the market for some new kicks. She looked at my old shoes and also the way I walked and ran, and brought out three pairs that would work for me. They all felt great, but I settled on a purple pair by Saucony because they were different from what I was used to (extra cushioning, softer top, etc). Using the coupon I had, I also purchased some wicking socks, and then received my gift card. Shortly after purchasing, I went out on the Monon trial to test out my new Sauconys on a regular 5K run. He had me jog on a mat so he could see how I run and then chose three pairs of shoes to try on that he thought would fit well. I ended up purchasing one of the pairs he suggested. I cannot speak to their prices, just to their customer service. They offer Good Form Running clinics. They last about an hour and are free. They video tape you running, give you an explanation of good techniques (with handouts!), then play your video in slowmo and break down your running style and things you need to change. It was very helpful and they were not at all demeaning, even though it would have be so easy for them to patronize a crappy runner like me. I was so intimidated by these guys that clearly knew what they were doing, but they were so kind and just wanted to share their love of running with us. They did not pressure us at all to purchase anything in the store, but they were happy to offer suggestions when participants asked for shoes. I just bought new sneakers, but when they wear out, I will definitely be shopping here. read more

This is an excellent store with a great selection and great service. I came in around 630 pm (the store closes at 7pm), so I anticipated that I would be rushed so they could close on time. Instead, the salesman took his time with me, assessed my gait, and gave me multiple different types of shoes to try on and run with inside the store. I was very pleased with his time and advice especially because this was my first time buying nice running shoes. I just finished my first half marathon with the shoes I bought from here, and I can say that the shoes are high quality and helped to prevent injuries during my run. This was my first time going to this place as I needed some running shoes and my normal go-to running shoes place didn't have my size in at the time I needed a new pair. I went on a Saturday. Simply put: it was BUSY. There were three employees working, children running around, and a general chaos in a very open space. I nearly turned around, but I needed the shoes, so I decided to stick it out. I'm glad that I stuck it out as the service was very nice. I have a tiny shoe size, so it's hard to find a store that has a kids' shoe that doesn't look like a child's style. Luckily, they had a couple of options (that were also 1/2 the price h$lla!). While it took a solid 15 minutes to be helped, I was in and out once I was helped within 15 minutes myself. I got the attention I needed to make the correct purchase and I was good to go. Will I go back? Yes. Sadly, this time to return my purchase as they were way too tight for comfort. But I'll be back to compare prices next time I'm looking to purchase! read more

Having just worn out my last pair of walking/running shoes, I entertained the idea of getting some professional input on selecting my next pair. Wow, was I in awe!?!? Instead I was greeted by sales associate Taylor and manager Jesse Davis who asked me a few questions about my goals. I've been using these new shoes daily for last three months with no more foot pain!
