I don't know if I'd come here to work since there isn't much room, but it is a great spot to go for a cup of quality coffee and to hangout with friends. Subtle but still has the sweetness to it. My husband ordered a cappuccino with a extea shot and he regretted it- wish he stuck with the single shot. Great Coffee! Stoped by on trip to Austin and definitely worth it. Got some seasonal drinks and a couple other Lattes

WHY I WENT My wife and I are Fleet regulars since relocating to Austin Tx a couple years ago. We moved at the height of the pandemic, and were pleasantly surprised by the ATX coffee scene. There are tons of neighborhood spots and plenty of standouts, but Fleet remains our #1 place to grab coffee 2 years running. The baristas are amazing humans, the vibe is "childless millennial meets mature Gen Z-er" and the music playlist is circa 90's-2010; i.e. the golden era of hip-hop. WHAT I GOT - 5 stars I always get a CORTADO, half espresso and half warm milk. The best way to describe this drink at Fleet is "bitter silk". The milk is warm but not too hot, the espresso has a delicious bite, and the drink goes down smooth and buttery. Until another coffee shop proves otherwise, Fleet makes the best cortado in all of Austin. HOW I WAS TREATED - 5 stars The baristas at Fleet are all amazing people. Everyone has a down to earth vibe, and they all can make a great coffee. Sometimes there is a crowd, but they do a good job of keeping the drinks flowing and line moving. Fleet is essentially an outdoor coffee shop, so be prepared to bus your own table. The baristas are 100% focused on taking orders and creating magic in a cup. Quick note - you have to tell them how much you intend to tip, because the payment machine is inside the shop. Fortunately I have never been unhappy with the Cortado or with the service, so I'm more than happy to awkwardly announce how much they've earned in tips IMHO - Fleet Coffee is understated, super chill and a great place to grab a cup of coffee. Based on how well they execute a Cortado, I'm sure all the other drinks are on point too. Fleet is my favorite cafe in East Austin. The staff are welcoming and know their coffee. I start my day there with a pourover (sometimes) or a cortado (most times). Fleet also makes specialty concoctions, including their famous "After School Ritual", featuring Oreo-infused milk. It's worth trying, and less sweet than you'd think. No matter what you get, you'll leave energized. The cafe itself is a striking triangle shape. It's small. Think efficiently-organized coffee submarine, minus the claustrophobia. It gets crowded - especially weekends - but there's an outdoor patio. Hungry? Every morning they've got breakfast tacos from Veracruz, my top pick for tacos in East Austin[1]. We love this location on the east side right next to a little neighborhood food truck park! We ordered at a window and the baristas were very friendly and made our drinks quickly in front of us after we ordered. The coffee itself is pretty good! We got cold brews, but when it's not so hot out I would love to try their specialty drink "The Ritual" which was a donut infused cortado with a donut hole on the side! The 3 stars is because it is so insanely overpriced LOL i ordered a large latte with oak milk and added almond cherry sweetener and my total was over 10$!!!!! So after tip I'm paying over 11$ for a 12 oz coffee? That is silly! I've lived in Austin almost 2 years and used to live in LA. Let me tell you right now, the bougiest coffee place you could go to (erewhon)'s coffee is bigger cheaper than this HAHA. SO YA The coffee is yummy and staff was friendly but I'm not ok with paying this price. Theres plenty of local delicious other affordable coffee places in ATX. What an absolute delight. The staff greeted us when we walked in, which is always a plus when sometimes courtesy is a thing of the past. Street parking is easy as there is limited space out front. It's tiny inside, so don't plan on spreading out. They have a kid's hot chocolate that is a great size, delicious, and served at an appropriate temperature. My mocha is delicious. Small and cozy, Fleet fits in with the surrounding neighborhood and businesses. Ordered a ginger cookie, and the flavor definitely came through in a good way. I've also tried their hot chocolate - not bad, but nothing to write home about. Fleet's menu is on the smaller side, and prices are okay-ish in my opinion. The barista was friendly and service was quick. There's a few parking spots directly in front of the shop and plenty of street parking. Like many others have said, the inside is quite small. The interior design looks great, but it's not the most comfortable seating. I wouldn't recommend Fleet for large groups, but there is a nice outdoor patio with larger tables (weather permitting). The downside is Fleet seemed to only have two outlets inside and none outside, so come fully charged. WiFi was reliable, just ask the barista for the password. 4.5. The owners of Fleet Coffee are some of the best Baristas in town and their coffee shop is representative of their attention to detail and artistic abilities. I'm always fascinated with the accentuated taste of a latte or Capuccino when there is artwork! Granted it is harder to take the first sip, because you won't want to mess up the latte art. Fleet uses extremely high quality coffee beans to make their concoctions. Speaking of concoctions, they have several creations with ingredients you wouldn't typically think of combining. They all mix well together and you'll start to stray from your usual cup of joe. Grab a Saturday Morning Ritual infused with fruity pebble milk! They'll even put a homemade fruity pebble treat on the plate. They make them in-house (I've seen these bad boys coming out of the oven and being cut up for serving). If you like your espresso with a bit of a citrus kick, indulge in the E.T. It's brilliant. If you just want a Capuccino, that's fine too. They're exquisite. Check out their beautifully designed and built patio furnished with wood-crafted tables and chairs. They have wifi too, if you need a spot to connect. You'll love this place like I do. Also, $4 for a cortado is a bit on the expensive side, considering how small of a drink it is, and how easy it is to make. Some points for presentation. The shop: Very tiny inside. There are about three tables and a small bar inside, and it's just cramped overall. They do have a nice outside, with decent seating there that is shaded. I would definitely say this is more of a grab and go place. The service: Great! The baristas we're friendly, and they bring your drink to you, which is awesome since the seating outdoors is much more appealing than inside. A gem in the Holly coffee scene. It's an oasis of calm quality with uber friendly, conversational baristas. They serve a variety of beans- 49th Parallel from BC, Buna, and a few more. They have a fairly simple menu but a few fancy drinks if you can't take your coffee sans milks/sweet/added flavor. Recommended for real coffee lovers- as the simple drinks shine and show the quality of this shop. The iced americano is refreshing, bright, and light despite the great caffeine kick- perfect on a hot day. The cappuccinos are great as well. They only offer coconut and whole milks, in case you are wondering and have a variety of pastries depending on the day. At 2PM on a Saturday, the only ones left were three cookies- which were very good. I recommend the ginger cookie to go with your coffee, you won't be sorry. The next drink called the E.T had tonic water, iced espresso, grapefruit and simple syrup. Initially it's sweet and creamy then you get a slight tickle on your tongue from the carbonation and a mild taste of grapefruit slides in. You also had several beans to choose from. Yup yup yup! I needed to find a coffee spot stat and trusty yelp led me to the right place once again. This place is so freaking tiny and adorable I can't stand it. What a clever way to use this unique space! Semi covered patio seating, small tables for flying solo and large ones for bigger groups! I saw a dog water bowl by an outside table. I rest my case. The guy behind the front counter was super sweet, I told him it was my first time, he showed me the simple menu and explained all of their syrups are house made. Service is very attentive, bringing your drink to your seat and excitedly offering you options. Definitely has that new upscale almost Brooklyn feel. Cappuccino costs over $4, meaning that Flitch coffee still holds the title for the cheapest, best cappuccino on the East side. Bathroom is clean and fresh. Drawbacks: the inside seating area is small, so there's a good chance you'll end up sitting outside, which is beautiful but may be too bring to see your computer screen. I'm missing something that y'all are seeing. Popped in here today to give Fleet Coffee a second chance. Went previously for a black coffee and was unimpressed. Went back in today with my own 20oz mug to refill and was charged $3.75. That's their price for a drip coffee, I get that, but many places around town will charge the smaller price when I bring my own mug. That aside, it's not my favorite coffee in town. Perhaps it's due to the fact that I like my coffee with almond milk and stevia, and Fleet carries neither of these items. Oak milk is all they have behind the counter and there was no stevia. Couple that with a parking spot that ripped up the bottom of my car due to needing to be repaved and a tiny little shop and I'll be giving this place a pass in the future. read more

Wow! My husband and I are from Fort Worth, I am a coffee lover and he is very hit and miss on weather or not he will like it that day or not. This was the best coffee him and I have ever had! If you think it's tough following Austin's new restaurants, try keeping up with the coffee places. Fleet and Flitch are the newest local players, I think they're both great, and I'll meet you at either one. In fact, tell me which one you like, and I'll tell you what you are. Okay, I borrowed that line from a Starbucks in France. I could tell you what beans they're using, but really, do you care? Trust Lorenzo's judgment. I benchmark places by their batch of straight black, but Fleet stops doing that around 3pm. I did think my $3.75 Madcap Spring Fling pour-over was some pretty good stuff. I know nothing about steamed milk or flavored concoctions. I left here thinking what a clever use of interior design, it's easy to park, and this area of Webberville street sure is pretty interesting - hey, isn't that Gourmands & the new Dog & Duck Pub? Fleet is great and definitely worth a stop (in addition to return visits). They take their coffee and tea seriously and you can tell. They churn out some tasty stuff with a unique spin here and there. For example, you really can taste the doughnut in their doughnut infused milk. They have ample seating outside with narrow seating inside; if you've been here, you know what I mean. It works well. I hung out here for a while sipping my espresso and having some good conversation. Patrick and Lorenzo are great themselves and have a really good thing going that I think many will appreciate. This coffee shop was a little bit of a drive from me, but with the great Yelp reviews and being a coffee lover I was game for driving to give it a try. They have parking right in front of the store and are across from Dog and Duck Pub and Revolution BBQ. It is a very small, but cozy set up. There are a few small tables, a bar looking out the window with bar stools, and some outdoor seating. The owner\barista is very friendly and is happy to answer any questions you may have about the coffee. They have some very interesting and unique coffee choices which sets this shop apart from others. I had to go with the morning ritual because who doesn't love a donut hole with their coffee. Couldn't resist also trying a cold offering and the flip top (root beer, chicory, and coffee) caught my attention. Neither coffees disappointed and overall it was a great experience and worthwhile trek. If you are a coffee lover this place should definitely be bookmarked and on your short list of coffee shops to visit. I'm pretty sure you won't leave disappointed. The only thing I would say, I probably wouldn't plan on coming in a large group unless it is a nice day to sit outside. Conservative in size, quiet and homey atmosphere, simple wooden sign on the side of the road as you pass, smooth coffee ready to be served. This is the type of unique feeling you'll find at a shop belonging more to just another paying customer, but to anyone who enjoys the simplicity of coffee. Parking was not bad, I found myself coming in around the later hours of the afternoon, about an hour and a half before closing and you could park right in right or around the neighborhood in the back and score some shade (as well as some pretty neat photos of the railroad crossing if you're into that kind of stuff). North of Lady Bird Lake and away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, Fleet Coffee somehow still retained that feeling that you weren't lost in the middle of nowhere, but discovering another part of such a vast, culturally unique, and expressively diverse city that is Austin. Finding this place you'd think it came out of the blue! I had just finished up a nice lunch and decided to go for a coffee on the recommendation from another superb coffee shop (*wink wink* I'm lookin' at you Greater Goods!) and I have to admit, I had my hipster radar hat on with eyes open for this very expressive, mind blowing, aesthetic venue to kind of distinguish it from the rest of the shops and storefronts I had passed by. To my surprise, I found myself standing in front of this little building that seemed rather thin, I kind of laughed because I was wondering where the rest of it was or at least the back part. I suppose that's why this became even more intriguing as I walked up to the front door, because it just seemed so... not corporate feel, but seemingly, so simple I had to wonder what kind of coffee shop Fleet was hiding away so my curiosity got the better of me and I walked on in. I love that feeling I get discovering a new neo-soul artist with new music that I can't stop playing on repeat, and for about a year or two no one seems to know what I'm talking about till that artist hits the radio. That's the feeling I got when I walked into Fleet Coffee. As thin as it looks outside, that same impression is inside but it comes with that cozy feeling like it's just you enjoying the peace after a long day. I would recommend against bringing more than a second person here, as there are no group tables indoors. On your left you'll see seating with pillows all along the wall lined with tiny tables that is opposite the large window. Along that window sill you'll find bar seating and it really adds to the ambiance of the establishment. I should also mention there is outside seating on the side of the shop with limited shade so you do have that initial option if you have several people you're coming with. The barista was very kind, friendly, soft spoken, as if blending into the place that is Fleet Coffee, she greeted me with a smile and I proceeded to take a gander at their cute menu. I decided a pastry/snack would be saved for another day since I had just finished eating and found myself enjoying their iced Juniper Vanilla latte (because lets be honest, the hottest day of the year in Austin is NO JOKE). I would recommend this drink as it comes with that smooth flavor, hint of vanilla, and enjoyable pine from the Juniper that just blankets over the espresso so you can enjoy your drink and still get a nice little caffeine boost. The shop inside is quaint due to its simple and yet unique design, they maintain a clean space and most people keep to themselves. They do have a bathroom so you can rest assured. Working hard on my studies, I could at the same time see myself driving out here to just sit and think. It's not the social scene we want, it's the broken social scene fix for that personal, private self-reflection period. My new favorite coffee shop in Austin! (And that's saying something) The interior is a bit small, and there's not a lot of seating, but it's cozy if you can find a seat. However, they have a larger outdoor patio, so when the weather is nicer, that'll be my go-to spot. I had the opportunity to chat with the owner, Patrick, and he's super nice and funny - it's nice to have a barista who chats with you and isn't stuck up! Their coffee is great and it comes in these bright blue cups that is aesthetically pleasing to me (#instaworthy). I will definitely come back to get a quick study sesh or to catch up with friends!
