This is our go-to for a great meal and excellent service. The atmosphere is relaxed. We've been coming here for years and always have a great evening. The steaks are cooked perfectly and the specials are always spot on.

Myself and a group of my friends were in the area for a hike and decided to come to Flatiron for dinner. Dinner was on a Friday and we were able to make a dinner reservation the day of for 8, so its not a super busy place that you need to reserve ahead of time for. I shared the steak tartar and thought it was pretty good. I wasn't a fan of the mushy texture, just reminded me that I'm chewing on raw meat, but the flavor was good. For my entrée I got the NY strip. The steak was good and well cooked. I really liked the potato and spinach sides that the dish comes with. The only thing I had that I didn't like was the creamed spinach. It was a bit bitter and the top portion of the spinach was cold while the bottom was warm. Overall, I thought dinner here was really nice. Service was great too and I personally didn't find the restaurant too load.

    Delicious Old Fashioned cocktail.

Excellent steak, cooked accurately. Sub-par oysters. The house-made ketchup and fries were outstanding.

And it was a warm gorgeous October day. I was a little alarmed at how empty the place was at noon, but by the time we left at 1:30, it had picked up. The food is actually very good., and brunch is not cheap but given the massive size of the portions price-conscious folks could easily share. The starter of Egg and Chese sliders was terrific, and THREE mini English muffins stacked with scrambled eggs, bacon and cheese would make a full meal for any normal person. The edges were well-cooked, the bacon crisp and smoked - amid the sliders didn't disassemble when you bite into them, a pet peeve. The pumpkin toast was a bit less wonderful - the large slice of sourdough bread spread with our plain butter, and brie, with arugula and beets was a bit soggy - the bread needed more time in the toaster. My Huevos Rancheros main was enough to feed an entire hungry Mexican farm crew. Three large crispy tortillas, loaded down with 3 fried eggs, cheese, piled pork, refried beans, cheese, pico de gallo.... I barely made it through one third. It was absolutely delicious, though the crispy tortillas were impossible to cut. Ultimate messy finger food!! The Waffle. & Fried chicken was a hefty portion... the waffle semi-savory with a lovely scent of rosemary.. covered with syrup and the accompaniments, it was a good sharing dish and immensely satisfying. The Shrimp & Grits were likewise weel-prepared. The grits cheesy and creamy, the shrimp smoky and the perfect foil. A hefty serving for one hungry person. The only negative was a carryover from our earlier visit. We love sitting outside on the terrace to gaze at the falls and absord the sound of falling water. Unfortunately the resident Yellowjacket's love to nibble on outr mimosas and whatever else if available. Sitting inside would solve this problem, but the deck is the point!! The owners need to make some effort to control the stinging insect problem - no one got stung, but it is very disconcerting and I am allergic, so outright panic-inducing at moments. If not for the Yellowjacket's, I would give this 5-stars... remember it is in Saugerties, not Manhattan, and the standard of food is outstanding for the location. Service was friendly, and the place kept clean and all around a fine spot for brunch before of after a hike. I'm sire dinner is good - the ikitchen knows what it is doing!!

When the manager had them to remake, the bartender DID NOT only added more bitters that made it worse. I would NOT recommend this location to anyone who wants to celebrate a special moment with someone. I would also recommend this location come to the city to shadow the staff of the NOMAD location to learn what dinning experiences should look like!

My wife and I were on a business trip, turning it into a stolen weekend for just the two of us. The mountains were a breathtaking canvas of deep greens and hazy blues, but as dusk fell, we were just two travelers looking for a warm place to eat. We Yelped this place, a humble spot with a simple facade, hoping simply for a decent meal. We had no idea we were about to experience something that would become a core memory. The moment we stepped inside, the world outside ceased to exist. The ambiance was an embrace--low, warm lighting, the soft murmur of other contented diners, and a cozy intimacy that felt both grand and profoundly simple. They seated us at a small table for two, just right for our knees to touch, a silent connection point throughout the evening. Then the food came. And this is where words truly begin to fail. We started with the octopus, a dish so often ruined into rubber. What arrived was a masterpiece. It was tender, impossibly so, with a delicate char that gave way to a buttery, oceanic perfection. It was the first clue that we were in the hands of artists. Our main courses were... marvelous. That's the only word that fits, though it feels insufficient. Each component on the plate was thoughtful, seasoned with intention, and cooked with a respect for the ingredient that you can taste, deep in your bones. It was more than nourishment; it was a conversation between the chef and the soul. But the tiramisu... the tiramisu was the quiet, devastating finale that blindsided us. This was not the heavy, soggy dessert so often found. This was a European dream, layered with ethereal, coffee-kissed savoiardi and mascarpone so light it could have been a cloud. It was perfectly executed, a delicate balance of bitter cocoa, robust espresso, and sweet, airy cream. It was, without a single shred of exaggeration, to die for. We left with more than full stomachs. We left with a shared, profound happiness, a reminder that the most beautiful moments in life are often the unexpected ones, hidden away from the main roads. It wasn't just a meal; it was a reminder of why I travel with her, and how joy can be found, perfectly plated, in the most beautiful middle of nowhere.

The space is tastefully decorated with nautical and ocean-inspired elements, featuring navy blue and white walls. Our waiter was immediately aware of my food allergies and my husband's celiac condition. He guided us through the menu with confidence, offering thoughtful recommendations based on our dietary restrictions and personal tastes. Many of the dishes could be customized in terms of preparation and side choices, which we appreciated. For drinks, my husband ordered his usual--a margarita--while I decided to try something new and went with the Backyard Iced Tea. His margarita was freshly made and even better served in a Yankees glass. The Backyard Iced Tea was fantastic--refreshing, not too sweet (which I loved), and it truly tasted like iced tea with a hint of lemon. Unlike a Long Island Iced Tea, it wasn't overly alcoholic or sugary, which suited my preferences perfectly. For dinner, my husband ordered one of the specials: Cajun-style red snapper with a side of sautéed spinach and a house salad (no croutons, with blue cheese dressing). I chose the broiled trio--lobster tail, shrimp, and cod--along with sautéed spinach and a house salad dressed with balsamic vinaigrette. Everything was delicious. The salads were fresh, and the balsamic dressing was excellent. My seafood was perfectly cooked and seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic, and paprika, then served with lemon and clarified butter. My husband's snapper was outstanding--probably the best I've ever tasted--and the sautéed spinach complemented both of our dishes beautifully. Overall, our meals were phenomenal. When we're craving seafood, we'll definitely be coming back.
