We completely understand that reservations are preferred and that there may be a wait, but the way it was communicated made us feel unwelcome. Once seated, the service continued to be frustrating. Our server seemed confused throughout the evening, our order wasn't entered correctly, our drink order was forgotten, our salads arrived at the same time as our entrées, and it took quite a while for our check to be picked up. The manager did come over, had the incorrectly ordered steak replaced, helped us get our bill, and apologized for our experience, which we appreciated. However, I was surprised that nothing was offered to make up for the multiple issues--not a discount, dessert, drink, or other gesture. Maybe expectations in hospitality have changed, but having worked in hospitality in the past, we always tried to do something to make things right when a guest had such a poor experience. What makes this particularly disappointing is that we've chosen this restaurant for many special occasions and have recommended it to others over the years.
