Mimosa

I went during their Saturday brunch with their bottomless mimosas. The waiter did an awesome job at making sure our cup never reaches the bottom. I was able to drink maybe a total of three cups while dining. I had ordered their Ahi Tuna Bites and their Bang Bang Chicken. The Ahi Tuna Bites came with an option of the Pita chips or cucumber. I chose both so half of them were on Pita chips and the other half was on cucumber slices. I would say, I had enjoyed the Pita chips more as it gave a nice crunch and saltiness to go with the tuna flavor. However, the cucumber does give it a refreshing taste to it as well. My entre came with a salad so I had their Caesar salad. The dressing, I believe, is made in-house and it was very tasty. Their Bang Bang Chicken is on top of some noodles and I loved it! Overall, the experience was nice. The atmosphere was nice, the waiter was very attentive and the food was great. I would like to go back and get their Ahi Tuna Bites again.

NYE Dinner 2024. 7pm reservation, we arrived 10 minutes early and our table was ready. I noticed they also had bar seating, window seating and inner restaurant seating. We enjoyed a few tapas small plates. To start we tried the Bacon wrapped Shrimp. The shrimp was large and with bacon, YUM! The lemon siracha aioli added a lemony kick. 6 per serving. The Empanadas are a must get!! Flakey soft pastry puff filled with meat and cheese & peppers topped with a buttermilk herb sauce. It had a hint of horseradish in there too. They were filling and delicious. 6 per serving. For Dinner we had Italian Sausage Tortellini and Italian Sausage Lasagna. Both came with a salad and breadstick. The Tortellini had an Alfredo/marinara sauce that was so decedent and creamy! I will order this again for the sauce! They didn't skimp on the Italian Sausage. Large chunks had to be cut down, just like how I make it at home. So good. We also had a large piece of Lasagna that filled with cheese meat filled and it was very tasty. We ate so much we took the pasta home. We came during the Rotary Lights holiday Lights, we sat at a window overlooking the park with all the lights. There is Igloo seating available for reservations at $150 minimum food/drink. We love 4 sisters when we come into town. See ya again soon!

Nachos with shrimp and tuna

Quite honestly, I could go on and on about 4 Sisters Wine Bar & Tapas. I was so impressed with this restaurant. My mom said that last time they were in lacrosse that day had a meal here and really liked it. Boy was that an understatement. They have a beautiful patio space overlooking the riverfront park and the river itself. Inside the restaurant is cozy, but not crammed, all of the staff was very friendly, and I was absolutely floored by the quantity and quality of food you get for the prices on the menu. To give you an idea of the prices, we ordered these two "starters" and after a 20% tip, it was still under $40. We had such a hard time deciding what to get. My mom remembered having the nachos and raved about them so we had to go with that and we opted for adding shrimp. Then, almost anytime I see ahi tuna on the menu I have to get it. The tuna was light and refreshing, but the star of the show were these nachos with fresh chips, layered toppings, so that it wasn't all just on top, the bang bang sauce on them was spicy, but not overpowering, and there was plenty of shrimp throughout. They are happy hour specials had good drink prices and their bourbon list was possibly the most impressive one I have seen in a restaurant date. If you're staying in the cross, passing through, or just need an excuse to explore a beautiful city, I'm sold. After eating there we drove down through the riverfront park and the city's tribute to their sister cities was BEAUTIFUL. I'm definitely going to make time to go through there again.

Very cute spot for dinner on the river. Love the fact they do both wine flights and a mojito flights. My friends and I could not resist. Nice extensive wine list. Delicious mojito flavor options. I also got a Jam Shack just cause!!! . For food I got the ceviche and tore it DOWN. Forgot to take a picture first. Service was quick. Friendly and efficient. Great place for a sit and chat with friends. Close enough to the river to walk for a beautiful evening stroll. Wish there was space on the patio to sit. It felt GORGEOUS outside. I want to come back and try more food options! And sit outside this time ‍

Don't recommend- I wanted Mac n cheese for lunch. It's listed as a shareable or entree on the menu. I literally got less than 12 bites and I'm still hungry. I paid $13 with tip. I'm 120 pound female and don't eat that much for lunch and here I am about to order lunch from somewhere else. Go somewhere else.

During our visit with family, my brother and sister in law took my husband and I to 4 sisters. The atmosphere is great. I love that it's right off the river front so you can enjoy the view. The staffs were very friendly and our waitress was knowledgeable of the menu which is quite big from tapas to entrees and a large variety of beverages. For a small city, the food would be considered great. However, it was ok for us. The fish tacos and empanadas were quite disappointing. The corn tortilla was not toasted and the empanadas weren't as crispy as it should be and the breading was soggy from being over stuffed. The best dish was the ahi tuna & cucumber bites. It was refreshing and totally hit the spot. The menu was quiet confusing since Tapas is Spanish, yet the menu has a lot of mixed dishes from Asia & American food. Overall, if you're up for drinks, I highly recommend 4 sisters as they offer a few variety of flights. Their drinks were super delicious so we will definitely go back for more. 4 stars for great staffs and variety of drinks. Food could be better but it wasn't terrible.

I went here a couple of days ago and it smelled absolutely disgusting. It made me loose my appetite. Staff were also kinda hostile.

A Chromatic Feast: The Warm Embrace of Sagra in La Crosse…read more To dine at Sagra in La Crosse, Wisconsin, is to be reminded that genuine culinary warmth can be found far from the traditional epicenters of Italian gastronomy. Guided by an exceptionally attentive and gracious staff, the experience unfolds with a well-paced rhythm that immediately puts the diner at ease. It is an establishment that clearly understands the intersection of great service and great food. The meal begins with a study in subtle elevation: olives presented with a gentle, deliberate warming. It is a small but vital touch that awakens their natural oils and briny depth, setting a welcoming tone for the table. The meatballs follow suit, boasting a robust, comforting heft. They are deeply hearty and undeniably tasty, anchored by a rustic authenticity that demands a proper piece of bread to chase the remaining sauce. However, the quiet star of the evening was a sweet potato dish that essentially stole the stage. It was a vibrant, chromatic triumph--an absolute masterclass in both visual palette and culinary palate. The kitchen managed to coax an astonishing spectrum of colorful flavors from the root vegetable, elevating a humble ingredient into something genuinely amazing. "Life is a combination of magic and pasta." -- Federico Fellini The pasta course, often the crucible by which an Italian kitchen is judged, was a remarkably pleasant affair. While it may not have possessed the sheer, surprising theater of the sweet potatoes, it remained a fundamentally nice, deeply satisfying plate of food that grounded the meal in tradition. Ultimately, Sagra delivers an unequivocally great dining experience. It is a restaurant that balances hearty comfort with vibrant execution, proving that a well-crafted Italian menu in the heart of Wisconsin is a journey well worth taking. Grounded has been part of our mother, daughter story since Leyna was just nine years old and brand…read morenew to living in La Crosse. Back then, it was our little ritual, cozy mornings with warm drinks and big feelings, just the two of us figuring out a new chapter one sip at a time. She'd order something with way too much whipped cream, and I'd pretend I wasn't tearing up over how grown-up she looked holding her cocoa. Now? We still go, only these days, she brings her friends, and I'm just along for the ride, and maybe to pay. It's gone from quiet catch-ups to full-blown coffee shop photo shoots with her crew. And honestly? The lighting in there gets it. The huge windows, the plants, the downtown charm, it's practically begging for cute, candid best friend pics and "caught laughing but obviously posed" moments. The vibe is warm, welcoming, a little artsy, and always buzzing in the best way. Whether we're talking about life, school, crushes, or just sitting in that comfortable silence that only comes with time, Grounded feels like home. A beautiful, caffeinated home with oat milk options and the occasional scone we swear we're splitting, but somehow I never get half. Grounded isn't just a coffee shop to us. It's a memory maker, a tradition keeper, a growing-up landmark in latte form.

Kind of torn on this review…read more Grounded has a great patio and well-priced drinks. I just would say I haven't been super impressed by their drinks. I tend to prefer places that make some of their own syrups, etc. and from what I can tell, Grounded doesn't really do much from scratch, which is fine, just not my preference. Their drinks are usually good. I was kind of disappointed to see their even their seasonal specialty drink was not a homemade syrup. My biggest complaint is their cold brew is super weak/too watered down. Service is usually okay, cleanliness is usually okay as well. I do love their expanded hours, so we do stop here when others are closed.
