Went here with a large group (11) during our winter weekend adventure in LaCrosse. Our hike ended early so we popped in here around 10:30 on a Sunday morning and were surprised we could get a table right away (was crowded but there were a couple of tables for large groups). Cate G was an excellent server and totally not ruffled by our large group. It was no problem when we asked for separate checks - she just asked that we not play musical chairs! We were chilled from our hike so the tumeric antioxidant tea with honey (extra charge) and lemon hit the spot. We had only planned on staying for a warm beverage before heading out to lunch elsewhere but the food menu enticed us so we decided to stay. The menu offered food I love as a vegetarian! I had the Ancient Buddha Bowl with farro (quinoa is an alternative). Tumeric toasted cauliflower, roasted sweet potatoes, beets, sumac roasted chickpeas, crisped kale/brussel sprouts mix with a lemon tahini dressing. So much goodness in a bowl!! There were so many other choices but if I were to eat here again, I would try the housemade vegan burger or one of their salads. It was a bit noisy with so many people but not so that our group was not able to enjoy conversation. Family friendly with a kids corner stocked with toys. read more

Really loved the vibe of this place. We went her for breakfast, it felt like it would be pretty hoppin' at night. Good naming with both breakfast and dinner themes. The service was good and all of that. The food was also fine. The waffle with berries and lemon looked amazing. The flavors were good, though I felt that the waffle itself needed to be a bit more substantial. Then we had a veggie burger which it's awesome that they do a custom burger pattie and not just one of those standard plant-bases fake meats. It was decent. I would have preferred fries instead of chips, but that wasn't an option. Oh, the latte was pretty good. You get a pretty huge cup for $5. Maybe next time I'll have to check out the evening vibe. JavaVino is one of my absolute favorite little spots to take my daughter whenever I'm in town visiting her during her college breaks. It's kind of our thing now. As soon as I get into La Crosse, I'm like, "Drop the bags, we're going to JavaVino." This place is peak cozy. It has that magical vibe where you can sip something warm, chat for hours, and pretend the rest of the world doesn't exist. My daughter and I always end up in one of the squishy chairs, splitting some baked good we definitely didn't plan on ordering and spiraling into deep conversations about everything and nothing. The coffee's amazing, the wine's tempting (hello, grown-up reward system), and the food is consistently delicious in that "just one more bite" kind of way. They've got the atmosphere down to a science. It's giving: "Mom, let's catch up and also romanticize our lives like we're in a feel-good indie movie." The staff is always so sweet, the playlist is somehow always perfect, and the lighting makes us both look like we slept for 12 hours and drink water like it's our job. We were in town for a family funeral and ordered to be delivered to our hotel. It was excellent. Huge portions and great flavor.

From entry to exit the service was friendly and efficient. We really enjoyed the food and service at this restaurant. The Florentine and the Caprese sandwiches were wonderful. The house-made garlic dressing on the house salad was so delicious that I asked if they bottled it to sell. Unfortunately, they did not. The muffins on the counter beside the cash register were very good, too. We took some with us for devouring with gusto later. There was a really fun energy here, with lots of seating for groups of all sizes. We even saw one baby shower happening here! Our server quickly took our drink order. There are lots of drink options - from cold brew coffee, to a long wine list to craft cocktails. The menu was a mix of brunch and lunch options (omelettes, sandwiches, salads). I've had lunch here a couple times already. They have a spacious indoor dining area and plenty of outdoor seating as well, which was nice. The atmosphere and service were friendly but casual. Their parking lot is spacious with plenty of parking spots so it was very convenient. Overall food was alright, nothing special. During my first visit, I tried their Mozzarella Caprese panini and it was good. The flavor profile was typical of what you would expect from a caprese, and their paninis come with chips or sliced apples. On my second visit I decided to try their Breakfast Burrito (I ordered mine without green peppers and extra onions). The burrito's size was pretty decent, more generous than I expected. The taste, on the other hand, was just okay...the panini was better. The potatoes were overcooked and tasted burnt which left a slightly bitter taste throughout the burrito. Without the sour cream and salsa on the side it would have been difficult to continue eating. Usually I can finish a whole burrito no problem, however, because of the burnt potatoes I only managed to eat half of it. read more

Went in here the night before the LaCrosse Half Marathon, hoping to carb up on the Pesto Bruschetta Linguini. Unfortunately, by the time we got there for our 7:00 reservation, they were all sold out. Instead, us runners opted for the Mac and Cheese. I ordered mine "hot" (spicy) with Sriracha and Jalapeños and added pulled pork. While the dish was tasty, I didn't find it at all spicy. However, I do recognize that I can tolerate a fair degree of heat, so for me, adding a few more Jalapeños would have been great. My sister-in-law requested bacon on hers, and there was a lot of flavorful bacon added, which stayed nice and crispy. The Wisconsin Grazing Board was a nice, shareable size for the table with a great assortment of flavors. This is a cute spot, with lots of room, perfect for families and larger sized parties. This place offeres a drivethru and parking lot pick ups so you can get your food safely. I had the Florentine Sandwich and hubby had the Breakfast Burrito. Both were great. We also ordered the Limocello Raspberry Cake for dessert. The taste was good but a bit too sweet for me. Wish we had more room to order the pastries though. I was a little apprehensive on the spinach artichoke spread but it ended up being fantastic with the grilled onion, tomato, spinach and bacon (added in). This coffee shop is wonderful. Great coffee, free refills, good breakfast and huge wine selection. It's quite a large space with tons of tables. You can't miss the coffee table with a half dozen hot pots of various coffees. Brilliant. Spied several tables containing students or mobile office people working on laptops, so I assume there's free WiFi. Our breakfast food was excellent, and there were lots of options to choose from. My frittata was fantastic and a nice generous size. The frittata of the day I enjoyed was ham and potato with feta and pesto....wowza! We loved the prompt attention on a busy Saturday lunch service. Love, love, love the Spinach Artichoke Dip. We shared between the two of us and had four pita chips worth of dip as a snack for leftovers! My Hubs loved his burger and maybe my chicken panini could have been less dry. My team and I had an excellent experience at JavaVino. We came in with a decently large group for lunch - about 10 people and everything was perfect. The staff was great and the food was delicious. Every order was perfect (and we made several changes to the orders) and they did an excellent job keeping all of our drinks full. Everyone raved about the Curry soup which I sadly didn't get, but if I were to return to the area, I would definitely try that based off of everyones reactions. I had the Ragin Cajun burger which was crazy good and surprisingly spicy. Like...excellent spicy. Afterwards we all grabbed coffee which was a great way to cap off the lunch.
