Lost Island Wine is a small family-owned wine company that produces about 30 different flavors of wine...all fruity flavored. Their wine is very reasonably priced and they have so many you are bound to find one that you like. They have a nice patio area outside and the owners are super-duper nice!

The wine was pretty good, but the beer was sub par and missed the mark. The coconut cream ale was under carbonated and the IPA tasted like a rusty penny. The others were so-so. Again, the wine was good, especially the sweeter berry ones. The barkeep was attentive, but only moderately knowledgeable.

Fun in the sun with my Luv!

The Island décor doesn't do much for me, but the wine is delicious and the clientele and bartender are great.

Owners Chris and Sherry were great to chat with and have a great story to tell about how they make their wines. Our focus is on producing delicious wines from the best grape juices we can source from around the world. Established in 2013 in Jackson County, Brambleberry moved to 234 N. Leonard Street in West Salem. We’re open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from noon to 8 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. Brambleberry is the Scottish word for blackberry, which was the first wine we made about 40 years ago. We are perhaps best known for producing some of western Wisconsin’s most delicious drier red grape wines, which are our passion. We feature cabernet sauvignon, merlot, pinot noir, corvina, sangiovese, carmenere, malbec, tempranillo and other red blends. We also have lovely white dinner wines — chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, pinot grigio, gewurztraminer, riesling, sweeter riesling blends and a fruit-forward moscato. Our popular sweet — but not TOO sweet — fruit wine blends feature the fruits of raspberry, apple, blueberry, blackberry, cherry, orange, pear, pommegranate, peach, watermelon, mango and a unique tropical citrus blend with coconut. Brambleberry Winery also is a licensed restaurant with a light menu of pizzas, cheese bread, bruschetta and charcuterie-type snack plates for you to enjoy with your wine with some gluten-free options.

We had so much fun at the Saturday night dinner, talking and enjoying delicious homemade wine and food. The owners are knowledgeable about what they are making, where it is coming from, and the way they grow and prepare the majority of the food they make! My only real caution is to say that WHEN you stay here, "(because you should!) do your best to drive up during the day. The B&B is a bit remote for this Chicago gal, and the roads at night are dark and twisty. We are looking forward to coming back!

Retired to our room (Shepherd's Loft) with a very tasty bottle of wine, complimentary treats, and a movie. Our room was perfect for us, the smallest one I think, but plenty of room and a very nice bathroom. Even though the part of the house was built in the 20's, everything seemed new. Got wifi in our room. The bed and linens were super comfy. Breakfast was at a not-too-early 9:00am and was delicious. I was glad I didn't make lunch plans, we were barely hungry by dinner time. We got a fun little tour of the winery operations downstairs by Chris. We couldn't get the sheep or donkeys to come to the fence to be pet, but they are friendly. Sadly we had to head onto the next leg of our trip, otherwise we would have done some of the trails. Sherry and Chris were really nice, personable, and funny. We absolutely loved our short stay and plan to come back next year. There are a ton of places to hike, bike, canoe, eat, shop, all within 30-40 min of that area, but I love that their place is at the end of their own road. Stayed October 2016
