The buildings could be a little more clearly marked. The scenery is beautiful and the employees were kind. The wine list fit on one side of the paper. I loved the create-your-own flight where you could sample 3 wines for $5 or 6 wines for $10. A full glass of wine was $5, and most bottles were available from $10-$20, I think. I typically choose dry red wines, but I went for a white wine with hints of pear, the Juliet, and a red wine. The red was my least favorite! I was surprised that I liked the other two as much. It was really fun to be able to sample the wines, and for such a good deal. Our group pulled two tables together and played some card games. We would have stayed longer if they also served food, but stayed for a while anyway. The people who visited ranged from parents with babies to people on dates. It was really fun and I'd recommend the spot. Also loved the 5% off deal for checking in, thank you!!

Our focus is on producing delicious wines from the best grape juices we can source from around the world. Established in 2013 in Jackson County, Brambleberry moved to 234 N. Leonard Street in West Salem. We’re open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from noon to 8 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. Brambleberry is the Scottish word for blackberry, which was the first wine we made about 40 years ago. We are perhaps best known for producing some of western Wisconsin’s most delicious drier red grape wines, which are our passion. We feature cabernet sauvignon, merlot, pinot noir, corvina, sangiovese, carmenere, malbec, tempranillo and other red blends. We also have lovely white dinner wines — chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, pinot grigio, gewurztraminer, riesling, sweeter riesling blends and a fruit-forward moscato. Our popular sweet — but not TOO sweet — fruit wine blends feature the fruits of raspberry, apple, blueberry, blackberry, cherry, orange, pear, pommegranate, peach, watermelon, mango and a unique tropical citrus blend with coconut. Brambleberry Winery also is a licensed restaurant with a light menu of pizzas, cheese bread, bruschetta and charcuterie-type snack plates for you to enjoy with your wine with some gluten-free options.
