    Dry flight and white flight

Met up with some family to celebrate a couple birthdays. The view was awesome on the patio but it was cold and windy this weekend to enjoy it for long periods of times. Definitely want to come back in warmer weather to enjoy. They have a couple different flights you can get as well as any wine by the glass or bottle. They also have non-alcoholic options and beer. The staff was helpful in explaining the wines and letting us taste them to narrow the choice down. Cozy indoor seating but it did get pretty loud with the amount of people there. Overall, it was a great Saturday and highly recommend checking the place out. We also peaked around their wedding venue cause the set up is beautiful.

Our wedding was the first wedding ceremony and reception hosted on the newly constructed ceremony deck and remodeled reception hall, and the night couldn't have gone more perfect. The owners of Danzinger, Paul and Madison, Where extremely helpful and professional during the planning process and it felt like they had been hosting weddings for years. We had a wedding of 250 people and each event and transition of the night was flawless. Danzinger Vineyards is nestled in the bluffs of western Wisconsin and the sunset was one of the most picturesque moments of our life. We can't wait to celebrate our future anniversaries back at Danzinger!

Our new favorite winery! Paul helped us out with our tasting and allowed us to sneak a few extra tastings before we got our glass! The location, building, staff, and views were prefect. I prefer a dry wine and fiancé prefers sweet, they had both and everything in between. And yes it tasted great! We will be back.

First time here. With new COVID responses in place the traditional tasting couldn't be offered. We did taste test the Crescent Moon. We got two glasses of it to drink outside. We bought a bottle of Danzinger Red to take home with us. Tables were spread out on the patio and there were others out in the yard in front of the patio. Additionally, there is an open covered pavilion with tables but probably not as many tables as they would typically have given the need for social distancing. All were full. The patio has an absolutely amazing view of the river valley and it's a shame they don't have umbrellas to make it shadier patio! I would have been game for drinking a whole bottle had it not been for no place to seek shade. We drank our glass and given it was 90 degrees, did not stick around.

***Honest Disclaimer of being a wine snob*** I love wine and love trying all wineries, you never know what you'll find! My favorite wines are big bold reds but I'm very open minded to whites and roses and even wines on the sweeter side. With that being said the wines here were okay. I wasn't really compelled enough to buy a bottle. They offer a little bit of everything, reds, whites and both sweet and dry. We did decide to get a glass of red wine to go out and enjoy on their patio which was well worth the drive, the view is gorgeous! The staff were very nice and accommodating with all the new COVID restrictions. We have friends/family that would enjoy the outdoor ambiance of the winery and the prices so I do anticipate coming back.

Danzinger Winery falls into the category of a lot of rolling hills-Midwest-wineries. They're a good place to spend an hour, but not necessarily because the wine is particularly good. I was pleased to find that they had some drier red and white wines (that are actually dry, as opposed to most wineries like it that only have sweet and very sweet wines). Their patio is nice, although the view isn't particularly great -- the hillside facing the lake looks over a steel roof storage facility. If you're passing through the area, and need a place to stretch your legs and relax, this place might be worth a drive up the hill to visit.

The greeting when we came in was very warm and friendly. The view of the hills is breathtaking. The flights we sampled were good but there did I not seem to be all too much variety in the flavoring. However, the Sangria was great and very enjoyable.

Amazing vineyard with incredible wines. The staff is awesome to work with and very knowledgeable as you navigate your way through a sampling. There are incredible views here as well as the vineyard sits on a bluff overlooking the Mississippi River. My wife and I enjoyed a bottle of wine after our sampling on the back patio and it was incredible. We have been back several times and can't wait to visit again.

Stopped in at this winery for a free three wine tasting. There is a beautiful view I. The back over looking the river. A small store, but the hostess was very informative of all the wines and what food goes with what wine the best. I ended up taking home two bottles of the King Cranberry. Had a delicious slight cranberry taste with a hint of cinnamon. A great holiday wine!

We had a great time at this winery. Truly enjoyed the sweet flight and the charcuterie board. The awesome views were a perfect setting.

My first impression of the property is that it is beautiful. They did a nice job with the property. The outdoor vineyard and wedding area is also quite lovely. The property was clean, restrooms clean, nice outdoor patio for dining. For the wine tasting, our hostess did a nice job explaining the various wines as we moved through the tasting menu. I didn't catch her name but she was very nice. We also briefly met Matt who was also very friendly. I felt the majority of wines were more on the sweet side, however, there were definitely several that leaned dry. I would t necessarily call any of them "full bodied". For Wisconsin wines, these were actually pretty good. The pours were generous compared to pours you may receive when tasting in Napa, Sonoma or Paso Robles so well worth the price. I would recommend stopping in and visiting Villa Belleza!

We had so much fun at the Saturday night dinner, talking and enjoying delicious homemade wine and food. The owners are knowledgeable about what they are making, where it is coming from, and the way they grow and prepare the majority of the food they make! My only real caution is to say that WHEN you stay here, "(because you should!) do your best to drive up during the day. The B&B is a bit remote for this Chicago gal, and the roads at night are dark and twisty. We are looking forward to coming back!

Retired to our room (Shepherd's Loft) with a very tasty bottle of wine, complimentary treats, and a movie. Our room was perfect for us, the smallest one I think, but plenty of room and a very nice bathroom. Even though the part of the house was built in the 20's, everything seemed new. Got wifi in our room. The bed and linens were super comfy. Breakfast was at a not-too-early 9:00am and was delicious. I was glad I didn't make lunch plans, we were barely hungry by dinner time. We got a fun little tour of the winery operations downstairs by Chris. We couldn't get the sheep or donkeys to come to the fence to be pet, but they are friendly. Sadly we had to head onto the next leg of our trip, otherwise we would have done some of the trails. Sherry and Chris were really nice, personable, and funny. We absolutely loved our short stay and plan to come back next year. There are a ton of places to hike, bike, canoe, eat, shop, all within 30-40 min of that area, but I love that their place is at the end of their own road. Stayed October 2016

From them not upholding big parts of the contract to changing what was agreed upon the day of the wedding due to the Kim the owner's mood that day. Threats were made multiple times to cancel the wedding the morning of the wedding. She went on a massive rant on canceling the wedding. Keeping the cleanup deposit. Hiring extra security at our expense.... We were accused of camping at far end of parking lot without permission... we did have permission well ahead of time from the event coordinator Abbey, 2 months ahead of time. Even have emails stating that permission was granted and we spent extra money to have port a potty in that area, over 300 yards from the venue. We did talk with the event coordinator about dress code for staff. We did say causal... the owner Kim wore pajama pants during our whole wedding. Also, making herself front and center of the event. Even choosing to stand directly at the top of the staircase behind the bride as she walked down the aisle...... Upon viewing the site, signing the contract, and setting up the day before. We were told multiple times the a/c would be on if the overhead doors remained closed. Morning of the wedding, after the 4 times being threatened our wedding was being canceled. The owner Kim told us she is refusing to turn on the a/c. We tried to talk with her due to a multiple tier wedding cake being set up. She still refused. This caused the wedding cake to lose form and almost collapse in the 80-degree temps. Part of the owner upset rant was because " you didn't spend any money Friday during set-up". Well, correction between us and the wedding party on food and drinks at the winery was over $200. This was above the $6500 spent for the venue (per contract from Friday at noon to Sunday at noon). I guess that wasn't enough money to speak to people like adults, be professional, and honor contracts. Her husband John, expressed to the Doug the groom. She gets like this. She doesn't take notes and then forgets what was promised. She forgets what is in the contract and changes things the day of. She's had these problems with weddings in the past. The husband expressed sympathy and apologized to the groom only. The next morning her mood toward Saturday was. I won't be charging you extra...... at least you got married, that all that matters. We learned all this treatment was due to couple weeks before our wedding a biker poker run left the winery at the same time as a wedding. Some biker yelled out "don't do it" at the wedding. Now all bikers are rude and out of hand..... please note upon signing the contract months ahead of time it was disclosed the groom is part of an MC. She was happy to take our check and cash it. Even telling us the MC could bring a smoker the venue for cooking. To flip the script that aggressively and HEAVYLY threatened to cancel the wedding the morning of.... unprofessional.
