Great views! We saw eagles and other birds on the river, and it's just a great view no matter what. Had dinner and drinks at night and then breakfast the next morning. Dinner was really good overall and good wine list and service. Soups and salad all came out with the meals and the salad is massive! Breakfast service was a bit uneven, but food came out fast and was very good. Love that they have reasonably priced breakfast options. I got the Dynamite Chicken Sandwich. It was good, but I expected more of a blast of flavor. My wife got the Cranberry Pork chop and said it was amazing! Great Brussels Sprouts on the side. Her side salad was huge and very fresh. My daughter got the Bourbon Salmon and loved it as well. Her side was Wild Rice Soup that was also amazing. For breakfast my wife and I both got 2 eggs and toast. They were very good. They do drown the toast in butter. So be ready for that! Overall we had good experiences and would gladly go back. read more

Good was overcooked and undercooked...lemon blueberry cheesecake looked and tasted defrosted and absolutely no lemon flavor or zest. Margherita flatbread was tasteless and the crust was a glorified cracker. Our server , however, was polite and attentive. We were all disappointed read more

It's nice to find a hotel with a restaurant on site (so many have closed). The atmosphere is nice; quiet which is nice only one tv in the bar area (big plus for me). Good menu selection. Breakfast was awesome. The omelette was delicious and nicely presented. Dinner is what prevented me from giving five stars. We did an order to pick up for our room. The salmon and veggies were really overcooked and they didn't include the salad (which I did go back down and get) but, the food preparation definitely could have been better. But the staff were very friendly! read more

Title: Beautiful Location, Terrible Staff (Except for One Outstanding Employee) I was really looking forward to dining here during my visit -- the restaurant is fabulously located right on the Mississippi River, and I had walked past it several times over the three days I was in town. Unfortunately, my experience was a complete disappointment. It took almost 10 minutes just to be acknowledged and seated, even though several male staff members were standing around chatting with customers and each other, doing absolutely nothing to help. The only person I saw actually working was a very young lady. In that short time, several groups of customers gave up and left, at least eight potential diners walking out because no one bothered to greet them. When I was finally seated, I was fortunate to be waited on by this same young lady, and I want to make it clear that her service was impeccable. She was attentive, polite, and clearly doing her best to handle everything on her own. She took my order promptly, kept checking in throughout my meal, and genuinely provided excellent customer service. She was the only bright spot in an otherwise terrible experience. The food itself was decent -- no complaints there. However, what I overheard during my meal was disturbing. One of the male staff members -- shorter, bulky, balding with black hair, and a very gruff voice -- spent his time walking around making negative, inappropriate comments to customers and at least one other employee about this young woman, the only one actually working. I later learned it was her first day. The way he was speaking about her made me genuinely concerned for her well-being and safety in that environment. This restaurant has a beautiful location and the potential to be great, but lazy, unprofessional male staff and a toxic dynamic completely ruin it. If management doesn't address these issues, they'll continue to lose both employees and customers. I honestly felt sorry for that young lady and left hoping she finds a better place to work. read more

Went her with my family for Thanksgiving. We realized it was a set menu and were fine with that. The server was nice enough but didn't bring silverware even after asking, when a spill occurred did t offer help, didn't check on us once during the meal. She only appeared to bring out food. The dressing was obviously instant and dry. The turkey was dry. They had loads of butter on the table but not even one dinner roll. I will say the pie was great. Definitely won't go back for any meal there. Too bad as gorgeous scenery. read more

Flew in late at night to LSE Airport and was pleased to find out once I and my colleagues got to our hotel that not only was there a restaurant but that the kitchen was still open. We all had shared a pepperoni and sausage pizza and it was super good. Staff was also super friendly. read more

The bartender was the sweetest woman I've ever met. She was SO busy but took the time to listen to each person and make sure they knew that they were seen. We just got a few standard beers so I can't comment on the cocktails but her service was exceptional. We ordered cheese curds and they were supposedly served with a zesty dill ranch but it did not taste like ranch at all to us. I'd try more food another time but this spot is getting 4 stars solely because of the bartender. read more

We've been here twice. Food is so so each time and staffing is short? Do they have staffing? Not sure. Would seem like a bartender and waitress could handle 4 tables of 4. But took 45 min for our order to be taken and another 45 to get food. Wow. read more

I stayed at the hotel for a night and wanted to try the restaurants cheese curds. They were soooo goood! Not the best cheese curds I ever had but definitely second best. I also tried their Caesar salad and chocolate cheese cake dessert and both were good too. Even if you don't want to have a full lunch or dinner here, you can come and get a drink and appetizer and enjoy the view from the restaurant. It was spectacular especially during December with Christmas lights and decorations up. read more

Three Rivers River View Restaurant & Bar - Cheese curds. Yum - Bars Near Me - La Crosse, Wisconsin

This restaurant in located in the first floor of the Radisson. They have complimentary parking in the Radisson hotel parking lot. Take a ticket on your arrival, and the restaurant staff will give you the "code" for the keypad when exiting the lot. It was my lucky day and I scored parking in the first row! We made dinner reservations here for Friday night. I called the night before to make restervations and the host, Troy, was so pleasant on the phone. On our arrival to the restaurant Troy greated us with a warm smile and happily showed us our table. The restaurant was never more than half full the entire time we were there. We were sat in one of the semi circle booths in the back of the restaurant. There was a very large group taking up almost the entire front window. You are able to see parts of the Rotary Lights display in Riverside Park from this restaurant. All we were able to see from our table is the white lights strung up in the trees. I grew up in the area and no longer live here so every time I'm back in town I need all the cheese curds in my life! We ordered their Hand-Dipped Ellsworth Cheese Curds. Three Rivers Lodge uses a spotted cow ale batter and it is delicious. The cheese curds had a fluffy crisp batter outside and melty cheese goodness on the inside. They serve their cheese curds with a dill ranch dipping sauce.... VERY strong on the dill flavor but I kind of liked it. My parents are always searching out all the Friday night fish specials in town. Three Rivers Lodge offers two options for their pale ale dipped haddock a small (2 pieces) or large (4 pieces). So they decided to order the large (for $2 more than the small) and planned to take leftovers home. They were both very happy with their meals. My dad made the comment that they did not over fill his plate with french fries and he really liked that. I went with the Western Burger which comes with bacon, cheddar cheese & tobacco onions ... I don't like BBQ sauce so I ordered it without the bourbon BBQ. My burger came out towering with the crispy onions! I ordered my burger cooked medium.. it came out well done and charred. The overall flavor of my burger was good but I could not get over the char burnt taste of my burger. The french fries were good but nothing to rave about. I liked that they had the ketchup already in a cup on my plate. Ordering a burger is always my "safe" food at a restaurant but I was left disappointed here. I had to ask for a water refill which is something that annoys me when I go out to eat. My boyfriend ordered the 10 oz New York Strip medium rare with mixed vegetables and garlic mashed potatoes. When our server brought out our food he realized that he never got his side salad. At this point he did not care to eat the salad and took it to go. His steak came out VERY well done no where near the medium rare way he ordered. I had a gift certificate for this restaurant and it's actually the only reason we decided to eat dinner here on Friday night. Overall our experience was blah and the food was okay. The cheese curds are pretty tasty but almost all Wisconsin bars and restaurants succeed at that. Our favorite part of dining here was our interaction with the host and watching him zip around the restaurant... which is kind of sad but shout out to Troy! There are so many amazing local restaurants to eat at in the La Crosse area and honestly I doubt I will be back for another meal at the Three Rivers Lodge. read more

They have a new menu since we were here about two years ago. I agree that one constant experience is slow service due to too few servers, BUT the service is very cordial and "proper". The food is above average and I think fair for the quality. We had fried cheese curds and they were delicious! Very light and crispy beer batter with excellent crunch. If a curd could be light, these are it! Our sandwiches were good, comments with photos. Sorry, ate the curds before I thought to take a photo. I'd give 3.5 stars. Nice ambiance but I noticed some of the dining chairs look tattered a bit and rough around the edges, due for a refresh. The coffee mugs are heavy like 1980 read more

My family and I were in town, looking at wedding venues, including the Radisson. But after eating at Three Rivers Lodge, we will definitely not be choosing this venue. This was the worst experience that I've ever had at a restaurant. Midway through our breakfast, an angry man began yelling at his table. When my family looked over at his table, he began swearing and threatening a woman in my party. We immediately notified that restaurant manager of the incident and THE MANAGER DID NOTHING. After 5 minutes of no action being taken by management, the man continued to make threats. Once again, we asked the manager to do something, but she took no action. We realized the TRL staff was not going to do anything, so we requested our check and got out of there. The restaurant manager kept looking flustered and barely apologized to us as we left. All of this was going on while the hotel manager was nearby. The simple solution is obvious, REMOVE THE MAN THREATENING YOUR PATRONS! It's not a complex issue. I don't care if the restaurant has a nice view, you can't enjoy it when other patrons are threatening you. For anyone at the Radisson that actually cares about the guests: this incident occurred at 11am on January 26th. read more

The best thing about this restaurant is the view and the service. The menu is somewhat limited and leans more toward standard bar fare rather than fine dining. There was a storm brewing and we were walking along the water and decided to stop in here for a couple of drinks and maybe to watch the storm roll into town. The restaurant/bar is right off the lobby of the hotel. It's a standard restaurant with nothing fancy happening, and not terribly big in the bar area. The restaurant holds more people and it does have nice windows along the one side. Service is OK, the drinks were decent, and the food was alright. We had a couple of appetizers and a round of drinks before deciding it wasn't raining much and we could head back to our own hotel. We ordered the deviled eggs with bacon aioli which was only an astounding $3 for 3 pieces (so $1 a piece which was a good deal). I will say that when the plate comes to you it's not really very attractive looking with the pale aioli, but the eggs were really pretty good! We also ordered the artichoke and four cheese fondue (dip) which came with toasted bread and that was quite good but a bit pricey for what you got 4 slices of bread with a fairly small and shallow ramekin of dip. I think it was $10 or something. Anyway, I was a bit disappointed in the atmosphere, and food presentation, but it was OK and nice for those people staying in the hotel. We were also there at a weird time of day and didn't eat regular meals either so it's based on a small experience :) read more

good hotel restaurant and bar. Pretty quiet when there are no conventions, louder when there are. Definately a little more on the high end side (for WIS), but the dinner prices are in the twenties for diners, tens for sandwiches Food is good, very good for your average hotel. Not a huge menu, but what is there is prepared well. Full bar, but only there are only three beers on tap with a modest selection in bottles. One tv in the bar, so dont think of it as a sports bar. Still, a nice place for a drink and conversation. Bar does have a espresso machine, so that is a nice way to end a meal. Cmbined with a nice Radisson hotel, a fine place read more

I dined at your restaurant June 24, 2022, ordering the TRL burger. I had to send the burger back to the kitchen as it was not cooked as requested to medium well, leaving blood on my plate and the burger was red upon taking a bite. The kitchen remade a burger but it was a much thinner version, obviously not the same in appearance as the first burger. I did not want to send it back or question it as my dining companion had already eaten and we had plans for after dinner. An attempt was made at customer service but sadly, the restaurant failed. I reached out in a direct message to the restaurant as well but received no response. read more

Ordered room service from here as I was staying in the Radisson on a spontaneous weekend getaway. I decided to splurge and get a starter of the cheese curds with dill ranch sauce, which were perfectly greasy, salty, and flavourful. My entree was the Lodge Club with fries, which was also delicious and filling. To finish, I got the Vanilla Bean Creme Brûlée which was the perfect amount of sweet, although I wish the sugar was caramelised a wee bit more (but I can definitely overlook that due to how amazing it was). Service was phenomenal - there was some miscommunication and they graciously took the creme brûlée off the bill, which was very appreciated. TRL is half of the reason why I'll come back to stay at the Radisson if I ever decide to make another trip in the future. read more

Wow. Pretty sure we found the chef keeping the salt trade alive. This restaurant came recommended to us by a friend who I will never speak to again because of this. Although the restaurant itself was beautiful, the view from our table was amazing, and it was really clean, none of this made up for the fact that the food was less than stellar. We ordered the deviled egg app which we so salty, even though there was 3 of them and 2 of us, we couldnt finish. We also got the calamari which was ok, it came with a good sauce. Our salad was fresh, which is appreciated, but it came with 3 crutons, a few shreds of parmesan cheese, and the dressing. I had the scallop dinner which came with over salted brussel sprouts and cold mashed potatoes. The scallops were surprisingly good and hot. My wife had the prime rib dinner with came with the same cold potatos and a cut of meat so salty and covered in sauce she literally felt ill after eating it. We had to ask our very inattentive waitress for the same bread basket everyone else seemed to be offered at the beginning of their meal so she could calm her stomach. Overall, not a good experience. We had heard the place was never very busy and now we know why. read more

Avoid this hotel restaurant at all costs. I sent back an entree for the first time in my 42 years, and it was so bad that I declined to let them serve me another. I have stayed at some really rough places over the years, but this hotel restaurant was the worst. This hotel is actually fairly nice, but the restaurant should consign itself to selling frozen pizzas or things that can easily be cooked in the microwave. I would have been happy with a tombstone pizza. I ordered the New York strip, medium rare, with wild mushrooms, and with mixed vegetables and steakhouse potato salad as sides. Sounds good, right? But I received a very, very well done piece of tough meat with mashed potatoes. No mushrooms (wild or otherwise) or potato salad. The steak itself looked like something that might have been served out at a soup kitchen on Thanksgiving, or perhaps purchased at a local grocery store in one of the really poor parts of Mexico. It was less than a 1/4-inch thick, about the thickness of a McDonalds hamburger patty; but far less edible. I would be amazed if it wasn't straight out of the freezer. I could have dealt with being served a low-class piece of meat in a small town in Wisconsin if the staff had tried. But the fact that the staff didn't seem to care got to me. I want to call them and ask if the next customer they served the same piece of meat to liked it better than me. read more

I wrote a rather harsh review of this restaurant and I need to update my rating and explain why. I was contacted through Yelp by the General Manager of the Radisson hotel, who apologized and said that he said that he had talked to the staff and hoped I would try them again. In my previous review I mentioned that it was my parents 56th anniversary that we were celebrating and I had mentioned that to the server. I also mentioned that my parents really like going there. Well, the server must have remembered that and told the General Manager who my parents were and left instructions for my parents to receive a free meal when they returned. Yesterday, my parents went to eat there and were given free meals and issued an apology. They were dumbfounded as they had no idea that I critiqued the restaurant. Now, that was pretty special and not often do you find restaurants that care. read more

Pleasantly surprised by the service and the menu here; while it is situated in a hotel, the menu is surprisingly creative and the food was good; we came here for my boyfriend's birthday and brought his family - everyone enjoyed their meal and the cheese curds are awesome! Do. Not. Eat. Here. We had a 7 pm reservation. Arriving to an open but empty restaurant at 6:40, we were told we could be served until our reservation time. Weird, right? Confusion morphs into annoyance into hangry delirium as we wait for over half an hour for starter salads and over 90 minutes to see an entree. The sweet but hapless waitress came by to take drink orders twice but otherwise ignored our party of 14 adults coming from a funeral visitation (not exactly a rowdy crowd). We had three meals here while staying at the Radisson. 2 breakfast were perfect. I had eggs Benedict and hubby had the TRL hash. Both were excellent. Service timing was good, not fast, but it's made fresh so the wait time was accordingly and the coffe was very good. For dinner I had the Beef Tips. Which is served with carrots and mashed potatoes in a light savory gravy. The beef tips were cooked to my preference and tender. Hubs had the fish and chips, served with fries. He is kind of picky about his fried fish and this was to his liking. Not greasy at all. Nice crunchy batter. Prices reflected the fact that this is chef prepared fare and not somthing taken out of the freezer. Service was always polite and smiling. Worst dining ever. Poor/no service. lousy food(do not order a steak, They looked like they were boiled in a pan of water.) Almost 2 hours at a table. We were never once asked to refill drinks. Waitress(the only one on duty) never once came to see if our food was alright, which for a table of 11, we were all disappointed. The 20% automatic tip for a table of of 8 clearly said it all. Your 1 waitress spent all her time sucking up to the2/4/6 tops for the tips. She would have got a hell of a lot more from my family in actual cash if she would have earned it. We've been here many, many times for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Prices are fair for dinner, and breakfast and lunch prices are actually pretty awesome. It's a pretty restaurant and is great for date night but also a family friendly brunch. The food is fantastic- and there are many perks that aren't advertised well, like getting pure WI maple syrup with breakfast dishes instead of the corn syrup crap you get at most places, good quality bread for toast and a pretty good bar. My favorites are the smoked chicken & wild rice soup (try a "dock lunch" for a great, affordable lunch), the cheesehead omelet, the pumpkin pecan pancakes and their hash browns. BUT the service here is hit or miss. Sometimes it's great, and sometimes it's just awful, and I herd this echoed by others as well. We've had experiences where we wait seemingly forever before we even get water/beverages or to get the bill, or where our waitress is just really, really slow overall. The problem seems to be with the waitstaff, not the kitchen, and even though it always seems pretty busy when we're there, they always seem to be short staffed with frenzied waiters. Luckily the food outweighs the sometimes bad service, so we continue to come and enjoy awesome views of the Mississippi, great atmosphere and delicious food. Most hotel restaurants are awful, but this one is pretty great! read more

If location is what you are looking for, this restaurant is one of the best in the area, get a table near the window and you are overlooking Riverfront Park and the Mississippi River. But unfortunatly, on this visit, the meal and service did not compare to the location. The meal I ordered (Orange Roughy) was only fair although the fire roasted rice blend that came with it was very tasty.
