Moving is the worst, but all my movers have not been as helpful/kind/patient/honest as Flash Moving. The upfront sales team honestly reviewed the charges, offered a discount for first time customers and a discount for cash payments, making their best-I-found hourly price better. All the additional fees were reasonable. They made scheduling it easy on me. Flash Moving got it right. The movers always wore masks (CoVid), worked away quietly and steadily until my stuff, an awkward large treadmill and a heavy stationary bike were packed. They lifted things with superhuman strength and poked fun at each other with apparently long-running jokes. I don't know how they did those things simultaneously, but it was a far better atmosphere than my usual moves. They were kind, polite and professional. Best moving company experience I have ever had. They showed up early, gave us a call beforehand to make sure we were ready for them. They gave us txt message alerts while they approached the move destination. Nothing was damaged during the move. Two days after the move I realized we were missing a framed picture, called the guys at Flash and with 30 minutes they had found it and delivered it to my house. Flash was recommended to us by a friend and we used them for our recent move. Their initial quote was fairly close to what we ended up paying, though we ended up doing a lot of small boxes ourselves in the couple of days before they arrived and left the furniture and big boxes to them. We had a few issues on our moving day--a crack in a window happened at some point during our couch being hoisted out a front window, and they left with the pieces to assemble our futon, but John addressed and took care of all of that without a fight, which we really appreciated given all the other stress moving brings! I am revising my review because I appreciate that John from Flash Moving Company took the time to call me and address my concerns. I hired Flash Moving Company for a move in June 2019. This was my 5th time hiring professional movers. I found Flash Moving Company to be disappointing and the least impressive of the 5 companies I hired. While the office coordinator, John, was very responsive throughout the process and the crew led by Philip, was professional and had a good attitude, these guys were just not as strong or efficient as any of the crews of the other companies I previously hired. For example, I have a small but heavy upright piano. During my last move, two people from the moving company were able to lift and maneuver it. Flash Movers used 4 guys and they still had difficulty. While I usually see other crews carry 2 boxes at a time, some of the Flash crew would carry one box at a time. And most importantly, when it came to disassembling and reassembling furniture such as bed frames, other companies used power screw drivers and only disassembled parts when needed. The Flash crew used regular (slow!) screw drivers and took apart every item into the smallest possible components. During reassembly, I observed one guy chatting on the phone while working. Needless to say, all of this inefficiency led to a huge bill, 15-20% higher than estimated. The company's initial quote was already higher than competitors, but it sounded most realistic at the time, given my prior experience with movers. I had decided to hire Flash based on their positive Yelp reviews. In terms of being careful, the Flash crew was decent with most items. They did break one lamp and scrape a handrail and ceiling in the house. They also backed up their moving truck onto my lawn and tore up some of the landscaping. Overall, Flash got the job done, but I think other movers would have done better. read more

These guys are professionals. Two young Russian lads showed up bright and early on moving day, and they rocked through the whole day. They moved us into our new home yesterday and they were totally helpful, courteous, speedy, friendly, and EFFICIENT at every step of the way. We have TONS of stuff that's really delicate-- none of which was harmed whatsoever-- so I appreciate their hard work very much. They were able to handle unexpected issues very easily, advise us on all sorts of solutions-- including on our moving tax break-- all while hauling our stuff gently up three flights of stairs like it was weightless. They don't even look tired afterward, they just keep smiling and being as friendly as at the start. And get this: we had budgeted ~$550 for our move, but they came in way under budget even though we extensively used services of theirs we didn't think that we would need.
