The breast, I mean best, breakfast in Venice by a long shot. The corned beef hash is literally better than losing your virginity! We come to Venice annually to visit my in-laws for the holidays. Over the course of the week, we had breakfast at six local spots. Flapjacks far and away surpassed them all. - Service: The woman working was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, helping to make recommendations for my indecisive 14 year old son. - Food: It was freaky fresh and tasted delicious. As I mentioned above, I enjoyed my meal more than sex. It was that good. - Owner: He came out and personally checked in with every table to see how their food is. Super disappointing, we asked for eggs over medium and they were so runny we could hardly eat them. Their potatoes are tasteless and I asked for them to be extra crispy which they were not crisp at all. Bread for some reason wasn't even great. read more

So we are new to town and decided to try this place. And we were not disappointed. I got the grants grilled cheese and it's the best grilled cheese I've ever had. My fiancé and sister in law both had the Irish eggs Benedict which they both loved. Jeff was a delight and so was Kelsey. I highly suggest going!! And we will be back! Great find!! We sat at the counter which is always fun. We had marionberry mimosas (in pint glasses! and with fresh made marionberry purée), one with a shot of tequila! The owner was bussing tables and greeting guests but I waited quite a while for the overwhelmed waitress to take my order. The food came quickly but was very disappointing. I ordered eggs Benedict and it was horrible. The hollandaise sauce tasted like a mix although the owner insisted it was homemade. The dish was just tasteless. This is an outstanding place to take visiting grandkids. The kids eat free with an adult purchase. (1 kid to 1 adult ratio) during the week. My Greek salad with chicken was outstanding. sandwich was very small. but had maybe 3 pieces of bacon small pieces of rye bread. first restaurant I have seen in Venice that jpcharges for a credit card. was not explained this process and did not see it on menu. it might have been there I just did not see it posted or explained outside of the bill. Based upon all the positive reviews, I was anxious to try breakfast at this small, neat, & clean restaurant in Venice. I was told that the wait would be about 10-15 minutes (not unusual this time of year), and it was. After being seated, the waitress asked for my beverage order, and promptly brought me a cup of coffee. Soon after, she returned to take my food order. When the eggs I ordered arrived, I asked for more coffee. This is when the problem began. After about five minutes and halfway through my breakfast, I still had not received a coffee refill. During this time, I observed my waitress waiting on other tables and seating other diners. I caught her eye as she passed about ten feet from me and I asked, "will you please bring me some more coffee?". She said Okay. She didn't return. Again, she waited on other tables and seated new arrivals. I finished my breakfast without being served any more coffee. Another waitress was waiting on the table next to mine and I asked her if I could speak to the owner. She said he was cooking, but she would advise him. The owner did come to speak with me and I related my experience. He was very pleasant and apologized for the incident. He "comped" me the price of the coffee and took an additional ten percent off the check. I enjoyed the Eggs Benedict and my one cup of coffee, but the dining experience was less than ideal. I'm not sure if I will return. read more

I am trying to support my local businesses and can't believe they would turn away a take out order. Great menu of unique dishes that you don't find anywhere else in Venice. If you're from the New Jersey/ Philly area you will really appreciate some of the choices. I had the Philly skillet with scrapple, onions, green peppers , potatoes and eggs. They also have dishes with the Jersey favorite, Taylor ham. Great breakfast menu and very friendly staff. I wish I had the pictures to show but I have a 3 year old that loves to play with my phone. We ordered 4 different meals and ALL of them were outstanding! Honestly you can not go wrong with any choice you pick and everyone is very nice and helpful. They made my family and friend that joined us feel so comfortable. My 3 year old ate every last bite of the most delicious French Toast, which is a big deal for her. My son LOVED his Eggs Benedict!!! He ordered them the southern way and is no longer eating them any other way. It really was just an all around great time and we can not wait to go back Tuesday morning. I will add pictures then. Strip malls hide the best treasures... former NJ owners make a great Taylor Ham, egg and cheese on a hard roll. Hard to find in FL! The selections and food are both really good and being from Jersey and Philly we were really happy- but they were out of a lot of items and you found yourself apologizing if you needed more coffee or water. I would probably give it another try as maybe they were just understaffed or under prepared for the people but I was uncomfortable and afraid to asked for stuff (like butter, coffee, napkins). read more

My daughter was excited to try this restaurant because of the corned beef hash. Service was terrible. Tried to call in an order, but nobody would answer the phone. Arrived at the restaurant to place an order, took me 30 minutes to get the check and realized the order was incorrect. Waited 50 minutes to get our food. Even if the corned beef hash is "to die for ", we won't be back! read more

Came here for breakfast with my family and the food was really good! The severs were friendly and attentive. I really appreciate that the plate portions were not overly huge like a lot of places now a days. I was able to finish my entire plate and was full and didn't waste anything! They were out of a few things we wanted, but is understandable since it's a small restaurant and we came pretty late in the day for breakfast (about 11:00am.) I got ham instead of bacon (out of bacon) and it was a great choice! Nice thick slice and so tasty! Ordered my eggs over medium and they were perfect. A simple breakfast menu with some special items you won't find anywhere else. Overall I would come back here, I want to try the blood orange juice and the Bloody Mary (YUM!) read more
