We originally came to check out the pour-your-own beer wall, but unfortunately a lot of the beers we saw on the tap list ahead of time were tapped out, which was a bit of a bummer. That said, it ended up not being a big deal at all because their cocktail list is seriously impressive. What also was impressive was their fantastic HH food menu. The kids ordered a pretzel basket & pizza, which they loved. For ourselves, we went with the Fig Pig pizza on a gluten-free crust--absolutely incredible. Everything we had was genuinely delicious. Between the food, drinks, & overall experience, this place was great. but if I could give extra stars I would, because their staff was beyond starrific. Their waitress spent time chatting with our daughter, answering her questions about the menu, her favorite things, & what she liked about being a waitress there. It was such a heartwarming experience her taking her time- even telling our daughter often, I have to check on other people so I don't ignore them, but I'll come back- displaying how to be attentive, mindful, and not just brush a kid off. I'll start with the awesomeness, which was the location and outdoor eating experience in Wellen Park. The wait for table just a few minutes, and waitress was very friendly and pleasant. The menu is a bit deceitful. We were there for lunch, advertised a $15 meal deal. Personal 10" Pizza, house side salad and soft drink. No substitutions or additions. Each day apparently this lunch pizza is one topping. Menu shows a pepperoni pizza. However, this changes daily the waitress said. So for us on Tuesday it was a mushroom pizza or plain cheese. I wanted the pepperoni as shown, nope! So, I ordered a pepperoni and mushrooms, side salad and soft drink. Total about $25 dollars. The salads were rather small and the pizza was decent. 1 ordered the special, said it was adequate. Then there is this ridiculous get your own beer with a 100 or so selections on tap. You pay by the oz, if you know anything about beer on tap it can produce a lot of foam when first starting. Especially, when several beers in one tap. This you pay for and one beer ended up to be $8. Not to mention it was barely chilled. Location, location is really all they got going. We felt we got the bait and switch on lunch special. I would only recommend to try for your own perspective. Hard to give a full review as their restaurant was closed for remodeling and they only had the patio open. It was very cold and windy so just not an option. The wait was long as we considered staying but we took it to go I had the cheese pizza with tomato and spinach. It was ehhhhh... wouldn't go back after having that. My friend ordered a BLT pizza and it didn't have the b (bacon) My friends said that they loved it there. Our 40 plus ladies enjoyed lunch on the second floor patio with a beautiful consistent cool sunny breeze. The view overlooking the lake was also pleasing. Our servers are Erica and Steve, and they were right on with your beverage of choices from the minute you chose your seat. Once everyone arrived they were immediately conversations began. We scooted over the oak and stone in the up and coming wellen park downtown neighborhood during a chilly gulf coast cold front. The restaurant boasts indoor and outdoor seating, and believe it or not, has outdoor heaters despite it being *florida* Our group split a bunch of appetizers, including wings, Brussels sprouts, Mac n cheese, and artichoke dip. All of the food was hot and delicious, very classic elevated bar food. As a beer lover, their serve yourself beer wall was awesome to try samplers of a variety of local brews. Unlike a lot of other similar beer spots, the variety of sours, ciders, porters, ipas, and lagers was refreshing, and offered something for everyone in our party. I was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant! I came here with some friends to look at a nearby wedding venue, and we ended up stopping in here because we were hungry. I ordered the voodoo chicken sandwich after seeing it on someone else's plate and it looked so good. Thankfully, the sandwich was just as good as it looked. It's a big crispy piece of fried chicken with melted cheese, lettuce, voodoo, chips, ranch and tomatoes. We did sit upstairs that was a covered outdoor patio. We started with the pretzels and pickle fries. Both of these were very tasty and delicous. They also came out hot and fresh. I had the cheesesteak egg rolls as my entree and they were delicious! Lots of flavor and enjoyable. The kids shared the Fun Guy pizza. It was the perfect size for them to split and they said it was delicious with the mushrooms and truffle oil. We were full so didn't try any desserts. The menu had lots of interesting choices while the service was very friendly. For a starter, the Philly cheesesteak eggrolls were ordered. The meat seemed to be of good quality, while the actual egg roll came out crispy with plenty of flavor. The cheese sauce was definitely needed to add a little bite to everything. For an entrée, I had the crispy grouper BLT. It was a cornflake crusted grouper filet with house candied bacon, lettuce, tomato, and remoulade sauce. This was huge. The grouper filet was sticking out of the sandwich. The filet was very crunchy, but not overly fried. The sandwich as a whole was very good. The remoulade sauce was a nice added touch. The bread was also a solid choice as it held up everything. I also tried the reuben and no complaints regarding that. The meat was lean and tender while the bread held up with the filing. I have been here a few times and I was impressed with everything until the last time I always get the Brussels sprouts. It tasted great every time but the last time I had it there was only about 5-7 bulbs, it had a lot of loose leaves. Their calamari is delicious, highly recommended. I also love their burgers, pretzel, wings, and pizzas. The beer wall is cool. I miss having the wristbands, the cards are not as convenient. They have a very good selection of beers and ciders. I definitely recommend trying their taps. The service is very good overall. The waiters are knowledge and attentive. Our last time there the service was a bit slow. Maybe because we were upstairs? They have an amazing Happy Menu with great selections of pizzas and apps at really great prices. I love their Lavender Lemonade drink that is part of the HP menu and my husband always enjoys their wide selection of bourbon that has a 20% discount. If you are a beer lover, this is your place. She was upbeat and welcoming and was very patient explaining how the wall bar works.
