What a fantastic place to watch the game! So many TVs and a different game on each TV! We truly enjoyed our time here today and the food was excellent! The service was terrific, the beer was ice cold and the vibe was really fun! We will definitely be back for another game! read more

I very seldom get on this app to leave negative reviews. I really wanted to try this place as it looked like a good menu to me. First off, great selection of beer. (All about $2-3 more per pint than one would expect though). Like $10 - $11 for a pour. Nonetheless, great selection, and the bartender was very nice. I got a burger and ordered it medium. It was clearly previously frozen and cooked on a flat top. It came out a greasy mess. I ate more than half as I was starving and didn't feel like complaining and sending it back. My wife told me the guy next to her was a regular and complained to the bartender that his burger tasted off. She got a chicken sandwich and the chicken came out hard and was even difficult to cut through. Also, pre frozen. They clearly spent a good amount of money on the place, which is relatively new but they need to get their s__t together in the kitchen or will not be around much longer. Too many other decent places to choose from. Hope they figure it out. read more

This used to be our go-to spot when we just wanted a drink and something to eat. It's been great for a few years, but that changed recently. Food quality is marginal. They can make a burger, but that's about it. It's as if the kitchen staff has never worked in a restaurant before, or they just don't care. Probably a combination of both. The wait staff is still great - very personable - and I don't fault them one bit. They've always been great. That said, I've reached the end of the line for this place. read more

normal tavern with tons of beers on tap and great servers and bar tenders. it's well designed but smallish. sadly, the smoked wings are no longer. we are trying normal wings tonight. apparently the new owner is going to try and bring back the smoker. i ordered medium heat wings extra crispy. they were crispy albeit saucy - meat was tender - the sauce was real, not just franks and butter - cudos. good spicy heat but just under hot spicy. can hardly wait for the return of smoked wings. read more

We had good experience here before but today it was horrible. The waitress was just a mess. Got our orders wrong, and apparently forgot to put in our orders but always excuses and no sincere apology. We entered the restaurant when there were basically no guests only a few at the bar. We didn't get our food after three tables after us finished theirs. And one of the four orders was wrong! Our friend had to cancel the order cuz we could not possible to wait any longer. More than 2 hours to get a simple bar food dinner!! They do have a good beer selection. A shame for the service to ruin it. read more

Well, I was expecting so much more. Starting with the good, lots of types beer on tap. The locals board I follow recommended this place, and maybe it was an off night. My husband asked for what was popular and I just got a classic hamburger. It was dry and hard. I asked for cooked medium, but I have honestly not had a hamburger that bland and hard in all my life! No onions or tomato. No sauces either. I used the ketchup brought for the fries. That helped a little, but not much. It was a Friday so maybe busier than other times, but it was SO loud in there. It was so nice to leave and not have to shout to talk to the person right next to you. The beer my husband was excited they had was $22 for 10 oz!!! We won't be back sadly. read more

Great beer selection! We had some beer and cider and appetizers. A guava cider and a Southbeach peach beer. Nit a huge beer drinker but these were great . Quesadillas and southwestern egg rolls. Good service and clean. read more

Food not good, service not good, prices high. My buddy recommended that we do lunch here as he and his wife had good dinners several months ago. I have been reading on Yelp reviews that new owners are making many changes. When I mentioned that my requested medium rare hamburger was cooked well done, the waitress looked at it and agreed. After bringing this to the attention of the cook, they gave me a 10% discount.....big deal. Not going back here again. read more

We're at the Monaco Drive (Wellen Park) location and the meal was just awful. Burnt homemade chips, burger was good. Reuben was burnt ( toast burnt), very thin sandwich instead of thick and juicy the way it should be. There's no such thing as "oh the fryer did it". It's YOUR restaurant. Buy the proper equipment! I asked for more thousand island dressing, but that didn't help much. Over-priced and under performed. Wait staff are AMAZING!!! They deserve better. read more

Stay away from the Ruben! It was, by far, the worst I've ever had. It was fatty, so much so, that it was inedible. I should have sent it back. read more

The manager is very attentive! She made sure our drinks were full and food was hot when it came out! I will be coming back for sure as long as she's working! read more

Server was extremely attentive and polite. Food was not impressive. We waited 45 minutes for a BLT that had soggy toast and cold bacon. Friend had a cheeseburger that seemed like a frozen patty with ice cold onion rings. The Manager remade the food to be hot and crispy toast for the BLT. Manager took 50% off both entrees. This took about an hour and 20 minutes. Won't be back. read more

Awesome place for food and drinks for sure. They have so many different beers and have Hazify on draft so that's a win win for sure!!! Good wings and good fries too read more

Perfect place for a burger and a brewski in south Venice. Spacious, clean, nice people, and plenty of sports on the tele. About a million beers on tap. We started with the Mac & Cheese bites appetizer, enough for two people. Very tasty & we took some home for later. I had the Kentucky Bourbon Classic burger. 1/3 pound of beef, bacon, cheese, and crispy onions. Served hot with choice of fries or chips. My wife had the bacon blue cheese burger w/ fries. Both were delicious. All gone! Excellent service from Tracy. Outdoor smoking & dining area. We'll be back. Called the Florida Tap House now. Not a franchise anymore, local owner. They should update the Yelp listing. read more

Was greeted immediately by staff upon walking in the business. They have a huge selection of beers. The atmosphere is really laid back and the restaurant is very clean. We only came for drinks and I tried all 3 sour beers the menu offers. They were all a hit and I highly recommend them if you like sours. Lastly, the service was very good which is unfortunately uncommon this day in age. read more

I want to start by saying we only came here to drink and did not try the food so that's the ONLY reason for 4/5. That being said we were greeted on the patio outside by an employee. The service was 10/10! They have a very large selection of brews on tap. I tried all 3 sours and loved each one of them! The interior is a lovely bar vibe, bathrooms are clean and they have purse hooks everywhere! read more

They changed the name to Florida Taphouse and increased the menu items, drinks and booze that they serve. They have brisket Sunday brunch and Wednesday wing night. I go every Tuesday for their Cigar and Whiskey night. A bunch of us take over the patio and we have received a regular, awesome server named Stacy. Stacy knows most of the group by name - and there are between 7 and 20 of us that come here regularly - each week. She is the best! I highly recommend this establishment and especially Stacy as your server. read more

This place bills itself as a burger place but has gone downhill in 2 short months after opening My burger was way overdone more like road kill baked in the desert sun for 48 hours and the fries were no longer than a half inch each. Just horrible Chad I hope you see this You definitely did not have you A team in today Very sad read more

Restaurant says they close at 10pm. Drove 20 minutes with my family and arrived at 8:40pm. Walked in and sat down at a 4 top Waitress came by and said they closed the kitchen because they had other orders they needed to take care of so they are no longer serving food to customers at the restaurant Don't waste your time driving here because there is no guarantee they will serve you during the hours advertised read more

Service is excellent and friendly. Food is very good. Ambiance is relaxing. Choice of beers is amazing and reasonable pricing

Place is a RIP-OFF. Prices have gone thru the roof. Used to be an order of wings was TEN WINGS for about $7.00. Under current management an order consists of SIX WINGS FOR $14.00. OUTRAGEOUS! Better wings, moderately priced at BOCA LUPPO just down the block. TAPHOUSE is a waste of your time and money. I WILL NEVER GO BACK! read more

I like that this is a new local spot and it seemed crowded (usually a good sign) when I arrived. The staff was friendly as they navigated a huge rush of people. I was generally unimpressed by the food quality compared to other comparable local spots. All that to say, food, not beer, is my priority when going out to eat. If you are looking for a sports bar specifically for the beer selection and won't be ordering food/aren't looking for as high quality entrees, this could still be a great spot. read more

Very disappointed with the new management. They took away the 1/2 price happy hour and no more smoked wings on Wednesday which is why our big group went there every Wednesday It use to be packed with people now we were the only table being used. The food was not good and they were out of at least six of the craft beers on beer list. We won't be going back as I think most of the regulars feel the same from the looks of it. read more

Great service, good selection of beer, closes a bit early. The wings are good, wing special on Mondays.

The beer and service was good but the food was lacking. Burger was overcooked. Asked for medium and got well done. Probably frozen patties. Definitely on the smaller size compared to the price. Restaurant was mostly empty on a Saturday evening which is not a good sign. Probably will not return. read more

So tonight we went to Florida Taphouse and we order drinks and apps with a plan to also order dinner. We waited 60 minutes for our apps and asked for the check and hold the apps. The owner came out and called me a fat f-er and to never come back. It's crazy how bad it's gotten that when you get bad service it's some how your problem vs. theirs. #nevergoingthereagain read more

Server was nice but overwelmed. Burgers were dry & overcooked. We asked for lettuce, tomato & onions on all 3 burgers but none came with them. Unfortunately, she never checked on us so we ate them without toppings. We do not recommend this restaurant. read more

Very disappointed. I went on a Friday afternoon for Happy Hour...and wondered why it was so dead. Last December it was difficult to get a seat in this place. Tap beer was half price and the food was good. Things have changed ! $2.00 off on a craft beer that you now charge at $9.50 is not much of a deal. I'll pay 9.50 for a good beer in a top end restaurant...but not at a pub. Good luck to you !@ read more

Awful Guinness pour, they don't even have proper glassware. One can not use 16 ounce glasses. And too many taps to keep many of the selections fresh. But small Guinness glasses are truly unforgivable. read more

We finally tried Mr Brews and it did not disappoint in any way!! We sat at the bar for dinner. The bartender was attentive and friendly and helpful on beverages and food!! The smoked wings were fantastic. Best I've had in the area hands down. The burgers and fries were also delicious and cooked perfectly. The beer selection is definitely great too. I am an IPA gal and was able to try different local brews. Hands down gotta try this place!! read more

Good selection of beer on tap. We ordered the all American burger. My opinion and my wife's was that it was too salty tasting and greasy. The buns were good brioche buns. I like tomato on my burger but they put a small slice on both our burgers. The fries were not fresh and we didn't bother eating them. Someone came and asked how our food was and I told them the fries were terrible. The manager came over and explained that they ran out of their normal fresh fries and had to run out and get these warehouse fries to make do. They took the fries off the bill. I can understand that being newly open they didn't expect the demand that they got. Maybe the other burgers on their menu are better but skip the All American burger. Probably would go back to have a beer and pretzels but no burger and fries. read more
