Local brewery, great service. I stopped in for lunch after a round of golf with a friend and we had a couple sandwiches and some beers. He had the longboat and I had the Cuban on special. Both were toasty and delicious. I had a six ounce Experiments batch 12 IPA- I was hoping for a small flight of a couple beers- but they only had 6 ounce or more. Many of their beers are on tap but a few are can only. So there's not a lot of options available to try. They also have wine and cider for those who can't do beer. My friend had the 3 day weekend pale ale. Afterwards, we split a can of their Ampd Imperial IPA. I enjoyed all of them. It's a large place- plenty of seating at a high top, bar top, or tables. It seems kid friendly. Parking is easy- there is a plaza shopping lot. Bathrooms are clean. Service is good! read more

Finally was able to get down here for a quick lunch to try the food. Went in with a party of five and we all ordered something different. I decided to go with the special of the day. No one at the table was disappointed with their food. It came out very quickly and packed with flavor. One of the owners was present and introduced herself to the table. They couldn't have been friendlier, we will definitely be back. read more

Back Porch is conveniently located right next to I-75 east of exit 195. If you're looking for high quality beer, this is worth the stop. Upon walking in you will notice a clean and bright tap room. Service from the bartenders is excellent. There is a drink menu and a food menu. The food is good, but the beers are exceptional. All of the beers were great, and I felt that the IPAs and lagers really shined. I have tried the charcuterie board and the buffalo chicken sandwich. The sandwich was very good and I would order it again. Back Porch offers some of the best beers around as well as good food. I would recommend it to any beer connoisseur. read more

Popped in to avoid a storm and to get a little snack and beverage. Sat at the bar -was waited on by a gentleman and a young lady who were both very nice, informative and attentive. Ordered the Bay of Islands IPA at the gentleman's suggestion and oh my gosh it was good. It was really dankey & beautifully balanced. Ordered the white bean dip. It was so yummy and hit the spot. Wed. was advertised as mixed four pack day so I took advantage of that-so I could this this liquid goodness at home. All around really very pleasantly pleased with everything. Thank you so much. Will definitely be back. read more

This is our third time visiting back porch brewery, we've eaten here twice and love everything that we've ordered. Trust me. If you try one of their handhelds, you won't be sorry. the beer is fantastic. The service is awesome. We brought our daughter here. Shes from Seattle and she said this is one of the better breweries she's been in, it rivals the ones even in her hometown of Seattle. we are definitely coming back. read more

Great little local beer spot with an ever changing tap list and really good sandwiches/paninis. I especially like their take on NEIPA/Hazy IPA. The always have a wide variety of beer for all tastes. The staff (and the owners) are always friendly and accommodating. One of the only breweries in the area where the bartenders will actually come to your table and take your beer/food order versus making you go up to the bar to order. It seems like a small thing, but a nice touch. Very open, bright, vibrant space and meticulously clean. Come for the beer and linger for the experience. read more

This place is seriously a hidden gem in Venice! From the moment we walked inside the atmosphere was clean, sleek and welcoming. The bartenders were knowledgeable and friendly, the food was delicious, price was great and the drinks were cold fresh and delicious. We will definitely be back to our new favorite spot to catch up with friends! read more

The brewery was tucked away in a strip mall and quite busy but had a welcoming atmosphere. They had a nice variety of beers on tap and 3 different size pours, which we appreciated. We ordered the Summer Squatchin' and the Copper. Both were crisp and flavorful. My husband had The Sink ciabatta sandwich which was bursting with delicious Italian meats and an orange Calabrian chili jam that was loaded with zest and a touch of heat in a good way! I had the Longboat panini which was toasted to perfection and filled with chicken, roasted red pepper, mozzarella cheese and house made (you could tell!) pesto. You can tell the owners take pride in their work and we love supporting local businesses. Can't wait to head back! read more

Great IPAs and service. Great location, not by the beach but just a short drive. And really close to where I am staying. I tried Experiment 9 and the Intercoastal IPA and loved both of them. I live in the Northeast and I am a fan of VT, NY and NJ IPAs, these both stood up to them! Brought home a 4 pack of Experiments 8. There were a few people that came in from what looked like a fun beer crawl. read more

As a new patron to this brewery, I'd like to give a shout-out to Savannah. The MOST pleasant server/bartender in the area! My new favorite beer of ALL time is the seed and bean - a luscious, effervescent glass of liquid dark gold. We ordered a salad and a sandwich to accompany our libations. Although not a big menu selection, the food was fast and fresh - the Back Porch knows the drinks are the star of the show here. Well done! read more

We were excited to try a new brewery in the Sarasota/Venice area and were impressed by Back Porch Brewing. After a morning of sharks tooth hunting in Casperson, we made the hike over to this new find and were immediately welcomed. The female bartender was quick to bring our kiddos over some toys, coloring books, and menus. She explained the beers on tap and gave us her recommendations. We enjoyed testers of each ipa and settled on a few glasses of experiments batch 3 and a Casey panini melt. On a lazy Wednesday afternoon, the bar was still pretty busy but we hope to return on a more hoppin' night to enjoy their food truck and live entertainment. read more

Good food, good beer and outstanding service. Such a fun place. We Will be back. Enjoyed the music the night we were there

Invited here by a friend. Cute brewery, friendly crowd. This is a great place for good conversation, a good sandwich and a great beer!

Great IPA's. Minimal outdoor seating but plenty indoors. Friendly staff. Their clothes merchandise is high quality. My buddy bought one. Happily bought a couple 4 packs to go home with. Didn't have many IPA's canned which was unfortunate but it may have been bad timing. Either way, this is a great brewery. read more

Great place for beer and atmosphere! We had a few different beers and all were great! We did not have any food but the people we chatted with all said it was very good. They had a home brewers competition when we were there and those beers were great as well. They definitely have a niche for supporting local stuff and helping home brewers out. I wasn't impressed with any of the beers compared to most local breweries. Most of them seemed like bad clones of mass produced names. (Peroni, Sierra Nevada, Budweiser etc.) The service seemed okay, the bartenders were not very attentive and didn't seem social except with each other. The owner and his wife seemed very stand-offish and not open to critiques or suggestions. No TVs, no music, no entertainment. They have very high ceiling and a lot of bare walls and hard surfaces. I wouldn't Recommend going if you like to have conversation with others or meeting friends as it is so loud that you can't hear yourself think even with few people inside. If you're getting out of work from one of the many factories in the area, the landfill down the street or you just saw your hospital bill from the new SMH it may be an easy place to stop for a beer but it's really not near anything remarkable or anything else to do. I honestly wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It just feels like the tap room is an after thought to the brewing and they really should have taken a little more time on developing a product and a concept before they opened. read more

This brewery now ranks among the best in the stat. , Hell it won a blind tasting with our group going against Treehouse beers and if you know beer, you know how fantastic Treehouse beers are. I'm never one to leave a review- maybe have done 2 ever. This place deserves a positive review on all counts! Friendly, clean, excellent sandwiches and the best two IPA's I've had since visiting Florida the past 12 yrs! Both the Intracostal NEIPA and the Experiments Batch 4 Imperial were excellent. My wife also enjoyed the Porch Light lager and the Winter Citrus Shandy. Highly recommend checking out this brewery! read more

Cool hidden gem with great beer. New Found Luck and the Porch Light were excellent. Will definitely back

Very nice place, we really enjoyed our beers, food was good. The downside was that they were understaffed, I really hate when businesses don't hire enough wait staff, I don't get it. We definitely would have ordered another round if we hadn't had to wave our server down after waiting for a good while, I would think it would be more cost effective to hire additional staff read more

The service and the beer here are amazing! This is definitely the best beer I've had since moving to Florida from the west coast a couple years ago. The food is no slouch either even though it's very simple, but very well executed. I will definitely head here to pick up a sandwich and some beer before heading to the beach. There is absolute passion going into the products here. read more

Beers are good. But the atmosphere is so boring and plain. It's awkward when you walk in because it's kinda quiet and it's like everyone turns around to look at you walk in. The service is good too. But they need to add some better decorations or make this place feel more like home. I'd rather go to to Wally's dive bar or Outlook. read more
