Food Service Beer and ambiance. Best brewery in Sarasota by far. Large rooms with televisions for sports. Service is above average and so friendly. Recommend the double Patty burger and the Barrel Aged Stout. Love this place. Good for large parties

We come down to Sarasota yearly from Kansas City, where our craft beer scene is excellent. So happy we found Calusa. Excellent beer, great ambiance. We look forward to visiting every year and stocking the fridge with Calusa cans for the beach!

We visit Sarasota/Siesta yearly from California and we always have to make a trip to Calusa. Love the beer, food and ambiance. Such a cool brewery!

Excellent! Spacious with lots of choices of places to sit. There's a room with a big screen TV, there's an outside space , bar seating, and lots of tables. Hubby started with an Irish Red and went back and had it nitro for his second brew. He said he couldn't tell a lot of difference. I had the Boyden bottled lemonade and it was tasty. We ordered hush puppies and they were great. It's clean, it's bright, and the staff was very helpful. Loved the decor!

Absolutely LOVE Calusa Brewing. So happy for the team that they were able to move to this new location and get a kitchen on site! As always, the beer is always FIRE and the staff is super friendly to not just us, but our pups as well. If I lived closer we would be regulars.

New location- huge brewery with pig fish providing food. Plenty of beer selections and upscale food. My filefish sandwich was very tasty with special tarter sauce. Plenty of tv's so we were able to watch the derby. Plenty of parking behind the Building.

The new Calusa Brewing site is a fantastic venue. The space is much larger than the OG site one Derek Ave and has a great outdoor area as well. There also a food kitchen that is operated by Pigfish. The beer is excellent and they cover wide range of styles. They offer a nice selection of high gravity beers as well. The staff is fast in friendly. I believe Calusa Brewing is overall best beer experience in Sarasota!

I will start with the one negative so the review rounds out. This place is in a spot where you won't believe your GPS and likely drive past it. I did. It looks more like an industrial warehouse than a brewery and there are not a lot of clues it is a brewery outside of the "gardeny" eating space outside. To the good side? Once you get into the building and out of the parking lot, the small taproom is very warm and cozy. Great wooden bar and a handful of tables. The beer? I did not find one I disliked. My friend and I bought a couple of 4s and split them so we could have a variety, along with some of the bottled one offs. The food? They don't have any themselves, but apparently attract some really good food trucks. I will review the Clean Plate Club, who was there that day, but have included a picture of the Birria Panini they had on special that day. Yes, I will return when I visit again.

Great place to grab a beer with friends. Our bartender was super friendly. Very enjoyable.

Went the other day with some friends. We had an incredible time. Calusa had so many beer offerings, it was hard to choose! I ultimately chose one of the stouts and then the mango cider. Such a delicious option! The bartender was extremely helpful and so nice. Also, we enjoyed going outside to find an empanada truck. The empanadas are only there on Wednesdays (each night they have a different food truck), but were simply delicious.

Great place, a lot of drink choices and the drinks are fresh and have a lot of flavor. One of the best light beers I have tasted. Thanks.

Calusa Brewing makes a great selection of beers, and the burgers at PigFish are probably the best I've ever had.

The experience was all good. Food Truck SMASH BURGERS were amazing. Well paired with Calista's infamous Zote IPA. Fun environment

Great beer. Try their weekly brews. Zote has always been my personal favorite but all of their beers are good.

Decent beers but the taco Tuesday was pricey! The nachos were much too salty, hope it was just someone with a heavy hand.

I'm slightly ashamed to admit that I've lived here for over a year and somehow completely slept on…read morethis place. Thanks to the recommendation of a total stranger, my husband and I finally checked it out earlier this week. Naturally, I had already done my due diligence by reading approximately 22 million Yelp reviews and looking at pics before walking in. I'd narrowed down my choices, but after chatting with our server, I went with the lobster burger. First of all- who decided to put the words lobster and burger together? It sounded confusing. And possibly unappetizing. Turns out, I owe whoever invented it an apology. The sweet server swiftly delivered a buttery brioche bun stuffed with big chunks of lobster, crisp lettuce, and a juicy tomato. I also requested a side of melted butter because...obviously. I feel like if there's lobster involved, melted butter is non-negotiable. Crispy fries rounded out the meal, and it was so ridiculously good that I pretty much unintentionally halted all dinner conversation to enjoy the party in my mouth. My husband ordered the ahi tacos with a side of duck fat fries. He inhaled every last bite of the tacos. They were piled high with fresh ahi and all the fixings, and the duck fat fries were rich and savory perfection- crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, exactly as fries should be. The restaurant itself is pretty small, with just a handful of tables inside plus some outdoor seating. I can definitely see this place being packed during peak hours and high season, so plan accordingly. We'll absolutely be back sooner than later.

Service was wonderful and attentive Great draft list (12…read morebeers on tap) I had a Michelob Amber Bock and a Czech Pilsner (both tasty) The food was very good. The duck fries were amazing and the Steakhouse burger was tasty. My lady had one of their island bowls with shrimp and she enjoyed it. I can't say anything negative about this place. If I want to nitpick the establishment is located inside a strip mall and wedged in the corner between Birkenstock and a cafe. It is very small with inside seating for approximately 20 people and has some outdoor space as well. All in all a great place and worth going to.
