1 Star - Extremely Unsanitary and Unacceptable I had a very concerning experience at Miller's Ale House in Sarasota. I ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch Dunk and waited quite a while for my food. When it finally arrived, I thought the long wait was the only issue. A few minutes later, a gentleman from another table came over and told me that his girlfriend had originally been served my food. She had ordered her meal without cheese, realized it was the wrong order, and had already picked at the food with her hands before giving it back to the waitress. According to him, his girlfriend specifically told the waitress that it was the wrong order and returned it. Instead of having the kitchen remake the meal, that same plate was then brought to me and served as my food. That is completely unacceptable and, more importantly, extremely unsanitary. Once food has been served to another customer and handled at their table, it should never be taken back and served to someone else. I really appreciate the gentleman coming over and telling me what happened because otherwise I would have had no idea. This wasn't simply an incorrect order or slow service--it was a serious food-handling and sanitation issue. I hope management addresses this with the staff immediately. Customers should be able to trust that the food placed in front of them has not already been served to and handled by another customer. If you want, I can also make it a little more aggressive and attention-grabbing for Yelp, while keeping it factual so management can't easily dismiss it. read more

Our group of 4 family members enjoyed dinner at the Sarasota location of this chain restaurant on a recent Monday night. We were surprised that there was already a wait at 5:30 pm. We were seated in a booth by 6. Service was very good. In our group there were orders of onion soup, a cheeseburger, the 35 shrimp platter, fish & chips, and a Mimi's bowl. Everyone enjoyed their meals, but had no room for dessert. We've been to other locations of Miller's, and had good meals every time. I wish they had a location nearer to where we live. read more

Miller's Ale House was very busy around dinner time--even on a weekday--so service was a bit slow, which is expected during peak hours. Because I was hungry, we chose to sit at the bar to avoid waiting for a table, and that was a good decision. They had a dinner special featuring a full rack of baby back ribs, and it was excellent. The ribs were meaty, tender, and flavorful, easily the best part of the meal. I would definitely come back specifically for the baby back ribs. The sides were also good. The cattle chips were crispy and well-seasoned, and the coleslaw was fresh and paired nicely with the ribs. Overall, despite the crowd and slower service, the food was worth it. A solid choice for casual dining, especially if you're craving baby back ribs. read more

We got the spinach artichoke dip and it was not our favorite, it wasn't very flavorful or creamy as advertised. I got the fish and chips which were really good, all super crunchy. My mom got the mozzarella stick burger which I think was a special/promo and she really liked it. She gave me one of the mozzarella sticks and sadly no cheese pull, but still yummy. My boyfriend got the nachos but asked to substitute the chicken for beans, which our server seemed to have an issue with and "didn't feel comfortable putting the beans on it" so she put it on the side and he immediately dumped it on. Regardless of that awkwardness he really enjoyed them. read more

I had a very long day today I'm not going to lie so much was just going wrong for me and I hadn't eaten all day. So I stop by to millers n order a chicken parm pasta to go... not gonna lie it took foreverrr, and the girl who helped me I think her name was Nakitta or something like that checked on me multiple times and then told me that my order came out wrong and she's getting it fixed for me so I would have to wait a little longer. She asked if I wanted a drink and she was gonna attempt to get me something for the wait which was awesome, but I was mostly happy that I didn't get all the way home to another thing going wrong with my day , before my food came out the manager who's name I can't recall but he was very nice gave me a gift card which he didn't have to do I was being patient but I was very grateful for the amazing customer service I received here tonight! Ps. The food was worth the wait !! Who ever made it didn't disappoint! My chicken wasn't burnt and the pasta was good, besides the issue that occurred I was very satisfied. Thank you read more

Good food, nice service. Portions are a bit much. My Cobb salad was far too big, too much white lettuce and cheese. Chicken was good quality though. Burger was great! read more

I ordered the chicken bacon ranch dunk and asked to remove the slice of cheese on my sandwich. After waiting about 25/30 mins for my food to come out, it came out wrong. There was a slice of cheese on it still and no pickle. I tried picking it off but it was too melted. My boyfriend let the waitress know and she took it back. Instead of giving it back to the kitchen, she gave the order i was picking off of, to another customer who it was originally supposed to go. My boyfriend did go over to the other customer to let him know not to eat it because i was picking at it. read more

I love their Zinger Salad. I order it with Honey BBQ on the Chicken and Ranch Dressing on the salad. There is plenty of chicken and the salad is cut nicely. I order it as take out and eat in the restaurant. Everyone is friendly. The decor is typically a sports bar in one area and just a restaurant in another area. I felt comfortable eating in there. read more

Though we've eaten at other Miller's Ale House before.... This is our first time at this location in Sarasota. It's easy off the I-75 freeway. It has similar decor as it's set up as a sports bar. TV's are everywhere, so viewing is easy, no matter where you sit. We decided to sit at the outside patio bar.... Great weather. Jaime was our Bartender. What a delightful young lady. Full of personality and conversation. We felt very welcomed. We ordered their Zingers which are chicken tenders. They were very, very moist and flavorful. We also ordered a side of fries which were hot, crunchy and delicious!! read more

Nice spot fur a lunch date with the ladies. I did the chicken enchilada soup and split pot stickers and wings with a friend. All good quality. Others had burgers , fish, salads, bowls and all said they enjoyed their food. The desert was huge and shared by a few people. Sports bar atmosphere and clean. Efficient service too. read more

We love this place its comfortable and the prices are more than fair! I leave this review as we are getting ready to go back for more! read more

We always sit at the bar so we can have great service and enjoy conversation, drinks and food. When sit at the bar we do it to kinda stay away from loud kids. I had no idea this place allows 4 year olds to sit at the bar. We were watching a game and it ruined our visit because the child was loud, running around while the adults didnt care and was playing their noisy toy over and over. I thought the age for a person to sit at the bar was 18. There were plenty of tables to sit at. And the adults were loud as can be read more

My wife and I were on vacation on Anna Maria Island and unfortunately a hurricane came through and we had to evacuate the island, so we headed 20 miles inland to Sarasota and stayed at a Hilton Home2 Suite, which was very nice. We decided to walk a mile to Miller's for some dinner. I ordered one of my favorite IPAs, a Jai Alai from Cigar City and a mahi sandwich. Our server was very nice and it was a classic sports bar feel and was pretty full. The sandwich was good, but I don't think fish filets are square, but it was fine. I told my wife it was kind of an upscale Chili's or Applebee's. The prices were reasonable and if you like a sports bar, that is what you get. We went about four PM and the guests were a little older, but overall it hit the spot for a solid linner and a couple of beers. read more

What marketing intern thought it was a good idea to be "open until 1am" but when a customer sits at the bar at 12:05 "I'm sorry, we did last call at 12" Wait what??? Completely moronic, abysmal customer service, and you should be completely ashamed. read more

Disappointing & Expensive experience ...server hardly came by to check on us thru out our dinner. (Mind you it was not that busy of an evening) She rang in an order of 18 wings (which we only ordered 12) charged us for 2 orders of fries ( which we got ONE) ... Food..the WINGS were Not Good.. We order 12 wings ..all flats (which xtra cost) ..extra crispy with 2 different flavors Korean BBQ & Garlic Parm... Not sure about y'all but I don't want to bite into a slimy wing..and these wings were EXACTLY that.... Anyways, I had to find a manager bc our server had stopped by for a bit...she was helpful & reorder the 12 wings ..naked ..well done and sauce on the side... The 2nd set of wings were acceptable..had only 6 of 12.. BF was not hungry by this point bc he ate the ONE order of fries we received... Long story short...now's there are so many places to eat...why pay for sub par food and service.. read more

Amazing wings, and a lot of beers to choose from the staff is very kind and in a lot of fun

Raving here I stopped in for lunch today. I had already checked out their menu online and was ready to order as soon as my server came by. She came by just as soon as the hostess walked away. We got off to a great start. My lunch of choice was their Prime Burger, one of Miller's favorites. It took about 10 minutes to arrive. It looked great, a tall stack of burger patties and mushrooms, onions, and a white cheese. This burger tasted even better than it looked. I couldn't figure out why this burger was so good and moist without being all greasy until I looked at their menu again, it also lists gravy. Very inventive. At 1/2 lb it was filling. The fries even had a sprinkle of pepper. This place takes food seriously. They also take sports seriously, with TVs all around. My server couldn't have done a better job. Parking is close, and they have outdoor seating. Definitely a visit worth raving about. read more

2 stars only because the waitress was nice and attentive! Worst steak ever! How does a medium rare steak taste like rubber? I cut it in teeny tiny pieces and it still was hard to chew and swallow.... Fry appetizer was cold. Caesar salad and cole slaw were flavorless (how is that even possible?) Broccoli was mush. Mac and cheese was not Mac and cheese. Ribs were tough. We were all just confused with the lack of love put into this food. When the entire table of 5 hated their food you know it's a problem! We would have been more satisfied with McDonald's. Worst thing is paying your hard earned money for disappointing food. Smh read more

Food is not great. First time had the Ossobuco, just ok. Second time had the prime rib. I don't know what it was, but it was completely overcooked. It was not shaved or cut from a prime rib piece and it was drowned in some kind of liquid. Totally taste. Tasteless, grizzly tough as nails. Ask them to remake a burger medium came out. Well done missing barbecue sauce.. Caesar salad came out without Caesar dressing totally wilted: in front of the house and back of the house are not communicating allowed us to order something that was completely out. Bathrooms are disgusting. Benches are hard as rocks no padding. The only saving grace is decent service, but even then our server only had a few tables and disappeared for 10 minutes at a time. I would not recommend. Both the manager and the back of the house staff need to be fired. Won't be back again. read more

I picked up my order today around 12pm. I am so annoyed!!!! So there was a lady in front of me getting her to go order. I was next in line. There was also a lady waiting at the hostess stand for a table. The girl behind the counter ignores me and goes straight to the hostess stand. So I look at the name sitting there and it's my order. She starts yelling at me and giving me an attitude that she has to hand me my order. If that's the case you shouldn't have ignored me standing right in front of you at 7 months pregnant!!!! Sooooo rude!!!!! read more

I was in last night an hour before closing and I have never felt less wanted an hour before closing. The bartender Alysa almost a half hour before closing was asking if we needed boxes when we were about half way through our meal. Then proceeded to make us feel even more unwanted by sweeping all around us and was putting up chairs. If it was after closing I would expect this but if you don't want to close or burnt out from the hospitality business please don't work in a restaurant. I'm a manager of a restaurant and if any of my employees did this we would have a moment and talk about their future in my store and if they wanted to be here or just wanted something more fitting for them. If I could leave zero stars I would start this and I've been here hundreds of times going back to when I worked across the street at chilis. Highly disappointed read more

The food used to be good there, it has gone downhill in the last couple years, in my opinion. I used to love to go there and get the French dip roast beef sandwich. I went there because I've been looking for a prime rib French dip and I remember that they used to have a very good one. Wow, I was sadly surprised because I had to send the sandwich back. It was all fat. I don't know who made this thing, but they didn't know anything about making a French dip sandwich and the french fries were soggy. It was very disappointing because I was truly hungry. So be careful what you order and don't be afraid to send it back. That's the only way they're gonna learn. read more
