Went to lunch with a colleague today at Flap Jacks. Our waitress was very polite and patient with us as we took a minute to place our order. Our food came out in a matter of minutes. Portion sizes were surprisingly large, and the food was pretty tasty as well.

Our foodie group came to Flapjacks for breakfast on a Sunday morning and it was a royal treat. Flapjacks is located in a strip mall off of W 71st street, and it is a huge space with plenty of seating. The ambiance is very nice with a homestyle family restaurant type setting and decor. I did feel comfortable while dining in the restaurant. Our group was able to obtain a huge table and sit together as a group. I did arrive late to the group, and everyone had ordered already, but our server came over right away and took my beverage order. After bringing my orange juice and hot tea within a few minutes, I was able to give her my food order of the protein omelette with a side of pancakes. The amazing thing was everyone else's food order came out within 10 minutes after I placed my order, and my food came out shortly after that as well. It was very fast and impressive! The presentation of the food was incredible and tasted terrific! The protein omelette was perfect and cooked with love and high quality. The flavors were impeccable. The pancakes looked thick and fluffy and tasted perfect as well! Everyone loved their dishes, and there were no complaints. Our server was excellent and took very good care of our group. She was on top of everything and demonstrated excellent customer service. Flapjacks pancake house was the best breakfast place I had been to in quite a while, and it definitely reminded me of the old family style restaurants going to as a kid with my parents such as Denny's or mom and pop restaurants in the neighborhood. I would definitely describe Flapjacks as an upscale Denny's or IHOP with better quality food and presentation. There is nothing else really to say about Flapjacks except that it is a fantastic place to go with family or friends for breakfast and it is worth the price you pay for a meal. You have to come check out Flapjacks for breakfast! You will not be disappointed! You will have a big smile on your face!

I called in a breakfast sandwich with Scrambled eggs add cheese. When I arrived 5 minutes behind my promised time. I pay slightly higher and wait for an additional 15 minutes. No explanation just waiting. When my order comes out I check and it is not what I ordered

Stopped by Flap Jacks to pick up breakfast on the way home from work this morning. I was greeted with friendly customer service. I ordered a half order of biscuits and gravy, with two eggs over easy. The gravy was a thin and lacked flavor. The eggs were made perfectly.

Convenient spot with good food, reasonable prices, and a huge menu with lots of variety. It's pretty busy and potentially slightly understaffed but we didn't have to wait for a table. Friendly waitress in Jimena. Food took a bit longer to come out but came out all together. Will definitely return. Water tasted like there was a filter and not as hard as Indy water.

Service at this restaurant was once a miss for my husband and I, but since then, it's been a hit! We enjoy going for a filling meal for under $14 for each of us. The servers are friendly, but sometimes it can be a wait for your food or a refill on your coffee. Not too busy on a weekend before 12:30pm, but I think it picks up around then. If you like thick fluffy pancakes, this is the place for you!

Flap Jack's has a great selection for breakfast or lunch and the full menu is available from opening till closing at 3:00 p.m. The service has been good each time I've been here with consistently good food. They will work with you around food allergies or food preferences when possible. A large strip mall parking lot provides ample parking. You'll find a sizeable dining area with many 4 top tables, counter and booths with wide and spacious isleways. Being a weekday at 7:30 I wasn't surprised there were only 15-20 people having breakfast being it was a workday. Busy on the weekends but not as busy weekday mornings. I was seated immediately and my server introduced herself moments later. Coffee followed promptly and refilled as needed. I ordered the Steak and Eggs Daily Special which included hashbrowns, toast (for me) or pancakes. The steak had very little grizzle and fat along the edges. The Sirloin was seasoned perfectly and prepared medium-rare as I requested. The hashbrowns also came out not lightly browned as requested. The meal was very good and I enjoyed every bite. The service was great, the food was delicious and the steak special was afforable. I love the option to have breakfast, lunch or dinner options from opening to close. Nice option to dine at for breakfast or lunch when in this area.

Came to breakfast with my family and everyone loved the food. When I say the Chocolate chip pancakes was to die for- omg they was so good. My club sandwich was tasty and the fries was so crispy. Our server was so nice and patient with us as we tried to figure out what we wanted to eat. Everyone got a variety of food, more than what I snapped pictures of.

I ended up having lunch there on Saturday Feb. 27th with my mom. We, made it up there at 2pm. The restaurant is only open from 7am-3pm, you can dine in, or do carryout. There are no stairs to access the restaurant, and accessible to everyone. My mom and I were the only customers there to he be eating there during that time. The restaurant does serve breakfast, and lunch at very affordable prices. Our Server was a young man named Cameron he was new to the job yet he was helpful on the menu, answering our questions about the food. For, my lunch I had a cup of chicken noodle soup. The soup was made different with macaroni shells, it was hot delicious soup. Then I had the beef Manhattan, I haven't had that meal since I was a kid decided to get it. It wasn't bad, very fulfilling, plenty of gravy, as well as mashed potatoes. It was a tad bit salty yet still good. Fun fact Beef Manhattan are a Midwest stable dish. My mom had their white fish sandwich along with chicken noodle soup. I will definitely go back to try the breakfast. I wished the restaurant stayed opened until 4pm, and if you come around 2:30pm you'll have to get your food to go. Overall, not a bad restaurant.

Store front location in the plaza with Kroger and a few other restaurants such as Papa John's and Tequilas (Mexican food). Flap Jacks has an old timey cafe feel to it with an extensive menu. I have had several things from the menu but has never had their pancakes, ironically. They have breakfast, including Turkey bacon, lunch including paninis, and dinner items such as chicken noodles and liver over mashed potatoes. Today, I had their Greek 3- egg omelet. It comes with gyro meat, tomatoes, and feta cheese. The meal comes with hash browns or grits and also toast or pancakes. I got buttered toast. Next time I order this meal I'll ask to add onions since it The omelet fell flat on my taste buds, falling a little short from the gyro taste I expected to get. They are usually busy early mornings then it starts to thin out around 11am, making it an ideal spot for brunch. However, they do not serve alcohol so no mimosas. I've visited this restaurant several times regardless because the prices are reasonable, it's family friendly, and in a convenient location. I recommend Flap Jacks whenever you're looking for traditional American meals.

When I asked if I could purchase a side of hash browns, I was willing to pay the additional charge. Instead, I was told there "was only enough for the hash browns on the burgers." The response felt dismissive, and there was no effort to see if another option was available or to provide a more customer-focused explanation. I understand that menu items may have limitations, but good service is about how those situations are handled. Unfortunately, the level of service I received today did not meet my expectations. Same great staff, same cool space, same open kitchen where a party of one like me can grab a counter seat and watch the chefs do their thing. I've honestly always enjoyed that part of the experience. Today I had the avocado toast with feta and an egg on top, and it totally hit the spot. Earlier this week I tried one of the newer menu items -- fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, plus a sample of jalapeño cornbread and Asian slaw. Incredible comfort food. And as someone who normally isn't much of a slaw person, I was surprised by how much I loved it. They also tried to tempt me with the roast beef special, which honestly looked great, but at 10:30 in the morning I just couldn't fully commit to roast beef yet. Maybe next time. The new name is a nice tribute to the owner's mother, Arleen, but thankfully it still feels like the Milktooth so many of us have come to enjoy over the years. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't been in awhile.

I will cut some slack on the service, however - I arrives after what seems to have been a very atypical rush of Journey fans who inundated the place before heading to Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The staff seemed a bit rundown and slap happy - not really attentive to the bar where I sat. I waited a bit long before I was greeted with a menu, waited awhile with an empty glass, waited with my food pushed away before it was cleared. No one asked if everything was okay even though most of my food was untouched. The food... my salad (house greens) was a great little salad! I say this despite finding a hair on the plate when I was about 2/3 through. My mussels and fries were not great. The fries were mid - they tasted kind of overdone or as if the oil were old. The mussels were actively bad. The portion (an app) was pretty small. There was hardly any broth/wine and they weren't piping hot. Also, they were actually not tasty and the texture was rubbery. They remained in front of me, uncleared, even after I closed my tab. They did not smell good. I don't anticipate being sick but I do anticipate being hungry.

FLAVORFUL RESTAURANT IN A HIP PART OF INDY…read more======================================== My daughter-in-law recommended Bluebeard for dinner on Monday, June 22, 2026. I would have to say this restaurant is my favorite in Indy right now after one meal. Most of the things we shared were amazing and for a complete description please refer to my photo of the menu. We ordered the following: Burrata with Amelia's bread as an appetizer which was delicious. Gem Salad - This was amazing and I could eat it every day of the week. Stacci house made pasta - This was a big hit and I would order this every time. Hanger Steak - My husband, aka the picky eater, loved it. I didn't try it, but everyone seemed to like it. Chicken with a few dumplings - We all loved this. Three desserts to share: a cheesecake with fruit on top, one a bread pudding and a chocolate crisp. I ordered a delicious Monsoon Season cocktail with song cai vietnamese gin, cocchi americano, st. george thai basil eau de vie, elderflower, lemon and basil oil. My son and I also ordered glasses of Port after dinner. The service was great and I loved that they were playing really good rock music like Soundgarden and others. There are lots of antique typewriters above the bar and a cool print of Kurt Vonnegut by the bathrooms. I am looking forward to going again the next time my husband and I are in Indy visiting my son and daughter-in-law unless they move out of state.
