This review is not based on the food taste is based on the service and the ordering problem my husband and I had ordered two meals over the phone and then when going into the store neither of them were started by the time I got home and looked in the bag the orders were completely wrong and ice cold then when called to talk to the manager there was no manager on duty the worker said there was nothing that they could do for us we had called back a few days the manager said there was nothing that they could do for us my husband ass at least if we can get a new Milford exactly what we had ordered she said yes he had ordered a different order went in the next day and got it the vegetables were right and our orders were wrong again called back again to talk to the manager and she never returned our phone calls very disappointed won't be returning to this location again read more

I normally don't post any reviews but this Flame Broiler deserves 5 stars. My food is always great and tasty, not to mention the great customer service. Asian guy is always polite (I'm assuming he's the owner, because he's always there). I used their restroom once and it was spotless clean, it smelled like bleach. So theres this place called Mos in the city of Santa Ana thats been around for over twenty years and I swear they copied them. The only difference is that Flame Broiler offers veggies and brown rice and Mos serves egg roll and fried shrimp. The so called "secret sauce" is the same also! I ordered the half and half and the chicken was warm but the beef was good and hot. The brown rice was a bit overcooked but overall it was good. If I could give them zero stars I would. My work used to go here pretty often because it was close to our office. It usually made about half of us sick about an hour after we ate there so the number of people that went with us got significantly less. There is always a lot of fat on the chicken and the ribs would be better described as bones with some fat on it. Not only is the food subpar, but the staff is extremely rude! When I questioned about them charging a different price then usual I was basically screamed at, and I mean that little girl was raising her voice calling me stupid. She put the manager on the phone. The manager told me a third price. Still the rude little girl at the counter refused to give me the price even the manager said. I have never been treated and belittled like that before. I am used to the staff at this location being rude but never as rude as that little girl was. read more

I like this place, good if you get there early- but crowded and only pick up if you are there around lunch time. The selection is pretty meager, but that is what Flame Broiler is known for (I think!) good food, limited menu. I do love their salad dressing (aka shredded cabbage and dressing). And I prefer the beef bowls to the chicken, only because you know how chicken can get a bit boring... The chicken here is pretty good, with the char flavor, but the beef is really good! Keep in mind you can get as much sauce on the side as you want. Very cool that it's self serve! :) I don't get their hot sauces though. One tastes like tabasco and the other is more like Tapatio sauce. Totally doesn't go. They do need a good bottle of Sriracha and everything would be perfect! read more

Whenever I want a simple, yet good bowl of teriyaki beef or chicken I come to this place. The small bowl is packed with delicious teriyaki beef or chicken, vegetables, rice, and optional green onions which cannot be left out. It doesn't look like a lot, however it is enough to take your hunger away. Whenever I want something that is fast food but at the same time healthy, I come here. My sister recommended that I try eating here because I wanted something new. I tried it and it was surprising delicious! I couldn't believe this was healthy food! Other than the worker getting slightly peeved because I didn't hear my order being called, this was probably one of the best fast food experiences I have had. I like it here. Food is always the same quality. I usually get the chicken veggie or works bowl. The veggies can vary, sometimes you get a lot of cabbage and some broccoli and barely any carrots, sometimes there are decent amount of carrots and not that much cabbage and good amount of broccoli. I like their magic sauce. Not a fan of any type of hot sauce so I usually just stick with the magic sauce. Tables can be dirty sometimes but I usually think it's because they usually only have 1 person working behind the counter taking orders, calling people to get their orders and to clean the dining area. Its a good place to go if your looking for something healthy to eat over the other fast food places in the area. Parking lot can be kind of a hassle though if it's busy, especially right now with the construction that's going on. Not flame broilers fault, just some people can't seem how to figure out how a parking lot works. Service is always quick and food is decent all in all, I would continue coming back here. read more

My wife tried to get me to go her for along time. I did not know what kind of food it was I thought it was chicken on the bone which I really don't like to eat. But when I did try it it was fantastic. The meat RS boneless both the chicken and the beef. I like all white meet so it cost a little extra but to me it's worth it. The Chicken and Beef both are high quality and are grilled to perfection. If your feeling hungry you can get a plate or if your so so hungry you can get a bowl and if you not to hungry or for children you can get a Mimi bowl. You can get any of them half chicken and half beef. You can get white or brown rice. You can add veggies. Their sauce is the boom and they have a couple of different hot sauces if you want a little spice. Everything is reasonably priced. You can eat with a drink for under $11 and be full when you leave. So if your in the mood for some chicken or beef with some rice I would check it out. read more

I am a business owner, and nothing bothers me more than seeing a poor review about what i do, so I really don't post negative reviews. Until now. This is ridiculous. I have been a frequent customer (3-4 times per week) at this location for over a year now. It has always been great, up until lately. I came in a few days ago and ordered the chicken bowl, my usual. The chicken is usually slightly charred which is a good thing, IMO.. Well, this time it was not. So I thought nothing of it and started eating. I noticed that the chicken tasted kind of funny and had an interesting, flabby texture. I thought it may have been undercooked, but then I gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking "I've been here so many times, they don't under cook the chicken". So I ate it, although it did not taste good. Needless to say, the next couple of days were not fun. I was VERY SICK. Running to the bathroom back and forth, stomach aches, etc. So, I figured maybe they had an off day... I went back today and ordered the same thing. I receive my food... Lightly colored chicken again! I take one bite and and the taste brings back instant memory of the last time.. It was raw AGAIN. I told the cashier about it. She offered to give me another bowl, but I refused, told her that they are going to get a lot of people sick, and left. Needless to say, I won't be returning. Flame broiler is supposed to be a healthy alternative to fast food but it just ends up getting you sick!! How absurd is that!!! How hard is it to cook some chicken!!! I've been here a few times and usually love it! Yes, the price is a bit high, but I absolutely love their magic sauce and hot sauce. I walked in and order the chicken plate with no onions. The place was empty and I expected to get my food fast --- and I did. I think under a minute! However, it had onions on it. So I sent it back and wanted a new one with no onions, like I had originally ordered. The chef in the back chopped up some chicken right away and it came out in 30 seconds. I thought, "Great." problem solved. However, when I looked at the food, I saw that he didn't make a new chicken....he just recycled some of the old ones (I can tell because there was still some onions mixed in there, but it was towards the bottom). I ordered no onions because I don't like onions. But what if I was allergic? They didn't have ANY customers -- it was completely dead in there. So there is no excuse on not making me a new fresh one with no onions. Or at least pick off the onions from the old one. read more

I used to live in Victorville and the 1st Flame Broiler opened in Apple Valley and from the 1st day I went was the time I ever heard of this restaurant, I fell in love and the customer service was above and beyond, I became a regular, so of course I was thinking when I came here that they all should have the same quality training boy was I wrong. Cooks and Carshier were nothing short of lazy don't give a crap about what the customer wants or any type of customer service. I am used to getting my bowls tossed so that the rice, onions and chicken are all mixed in. I don't really like my meat floating on top of my rice. They had to make my bowl twice and both times I asked to have it tossed and the cashier said he would inform them, he didn't and so when I mentioned it he said let me ask Well after much going back and forth, they just said we don't do that because we don't know how to do it. We can give you a plate and you do it. LMAO How dumb do you sound right now! Dude figure it out, make the customer happy especially after you just messed up my order not once, but twice. So after sitting down, I go to eat my bowl, and when I tell you how bad it tasted how the heck can you mess up a Flame Broiler bowl of brown rice and chicken WTF! Oh hell naw will I never ever go here again, and not only that, what I normally pay for a chicken bowl and drink ($6.50) in Apple Valley, ended up costing me $9's Wow seriously. I love Flame Broiler and can always count on a good meal. I have been to more than a few and this a definitely the least impressive of the bunch. This location is still fine. It looks like they sloppily apply too much of their sauce when they prepare their beef and chicken. It seeps deeply into the rice, which isn't a problem or some. Some might even like it, but other locations present you with a clean and neat bowl which leaves you with a lasting impression. Another thing to note, other locations call out ticket numbers to let people know when their meal is ready. I have been here more than a few times to see complete confusion over who has what order when they yell out a description of what was ordered instead of a ticket number. The staff is generally pleasant and the younger employees will greet you with a smile , but don't expect that when dealing with some of the other staff. Also expect to have to repeat your order again and again. All in all, come to this Flame Broiler to fill up on decent food and don't expect a consistent experience. read more
