3 stars for food, 3 stars for value, 1 star for customer service. I settled on 2 stars. After reading lots of great reviews, and being starving after a sporting event this evening, we headed on over. The prices are quite high for the amount of food you get and the quality. They serve two kinds of protein. You choose your plate or bowl size and what you want in it. Very simple. :) Now, granted we did come by only 15-20 mins until closing. I get that. Here's my story and why I'm disappointed in their customer service: I ordered a half and half bowl with white rice and no onions. A police officer after me ordered a similar bowl: half and half with brown rice. I was in the bathroom when my boyfriend placed our order so I wasn't aware another's similar order was placed. They gave me his on accident but I didn't know. I had a few tastes, it was good, but wrong. I'm not one to complain, especially that close to closing, so I sucked it up. Come to find out, they gave me his order and refused to just give me the bowl I ordered. Instead of just giving me the correct bowl and taking the wrong one back and trashing it, they gave me a side of white rice and gave the police officer my bowl and a side of brown rice. I feel like that was very uncool as he probably has dietary preferences in choosing brown rice over white. It was such a big deal, the boss had to come out front to tell me that because I took 2 bites of my plate, I couldn't have the real one I ordered. So instead of just making it right for two customers, they essentially disappointed both of us by refusing to remake either bowl or just give it up. We won't be returning here due to spending $20 and getting the wrong food :/ read more

This is SO much better than Yoshinoya ever was. I'm really impressed. The flame broiled chicken and beef flavor is intense. It's the best "bowl" of asian fast food I've ever had. The rice was perfectly cooked, the veggies were outstanding and flavorful. The "magic sauce" is a really good hoisin-like condiment that would make a carpet taste good. The location was spotless, the staff were fast and super polite right in the middle of lunch hour, and the restroom was immaculate. I have passed this location so many times. This time I decided to stop and get something for dinner. They have a good selection of healthy options. I opted for the grilled chicken and vegetables. The chicken was seasoned well and the veggies were prepared al dente just how I like (not soggy). My meal was very good and reasonably priced. The bowl comes plain and you get to add your sauce choices.the sauces really make the bowl. For sure get the red hot sauce and the magic sauce. I gave this place 3 stars only because of their service not being very pleasant. But I will be back it's a simple yet great concept for a restaurant. The food here is great! I usually get the works bowl and add magic sauce. The works with brown rice and steamed veggies with beef and chicken. The veggies taste so fresh and the meat is cooked just right. Everything I go I always see the workers, when they can, clean the dining area so it's never dirty. The only reason I give this 4 instead of 5 starts is the customer service. The employees(some not all) could be rude and not make you feel comfortable. Absolutely recommend this joint. read more

I finally tried it here one day while craving something healthier for lunch. I'm really glad I did and now sorta feel like I've missed out by waiting so long. I went back for 3 days in a row afterwards. First I had the chicken & veg bowl with white rice and green onions (I would never opt out on those) topped with their magic sauce. Mmmmm. Sooooo good. The next few times I ordered all white meat chicken veg bowl and that was even MORE delish. I'm sort of a freak about meat.. normal people would say the regular chicken was just as good, but because of my weirdness I liked the white meat better. We go to flame broiler in our town (Murrieta) A LOT. WE ALWAYS ORDER THE SAME THING. We were passing thru and we saw the billboard so we were super excited. I really was craving a tofu bowl but the refused to cook the tofu well done. Not sure why. They just said they don't. Then, when I said I would just have rice and avocado....son of b!tch. VEGANS BEWARE: My friend and I ordered the tofu bowl.. it was very good, however we both found chunks of chicken in our food.... We were told they were in a hurry and when I asked them to try to make the tofu away from the meat we were told that this place is not a vegetarian place. Not going to take off a star for this because it's so minor, but it can be hard to find a seat during busy windows - it's unfortunate the restaurant isn't a bit bigger!
