I really wish yelp started to allow half stars. Flaherty's is not a one star but it definitely doesn't earn two stars our experience was a 1 1/2 at best. We were a party of four. I'd say the best choice of the four of us was my father in law's French dip . Even that looked painfully dry and boring and the au jus was a scant portion. I chose the top sirloin. The description of a mushroom Demi glaze over mashed potatoes sounded great. Does anyone at this restaurant know what a Demi glaze is? It's not thick gravy which is what smothered my sliced gray steak- which I ordered medium rare. Really it was awful. Hubby ordered the Shepards pie. I'm never a fan of it, he is. He didn't care for it and our fourth guest enjoyed the lobster bisque - that's the extra 1/2 star. But I'll never go there again and hope this helps in your decision. This was my first time here and just deciding what to order was a challenge. Everything looked and smelled so delicious. I opted for the Reuben, open face and my friend had the Shepherd's Pie, which he said is one of his go tos here. The ambiance was great and service was on point. I will definitely return. Came for a quick late lunch with my husband after church on a Sunday. The bar was full but plenty of high tops open around the bar so we sat there. I had the Buffalo chicken wrap with Mac salad and he had a roast beef club which was HUGE. My wrap was ok - seems like they squirt the Buffalo sauce into the wrap blindly because it was drenched! Next time I'd probably get it plain with sauce on the side. Mac salad was delicious and my husbands club sandwich was also delicious (per him, I don't really care for roast beef!). They had some good beers on tap, all in all we would come back for lunch! Probably try dinner also! read more

My friend and I came here on a nice day in the Fall, and we came here because I Google searched restaurants with patios in Webster.  The have a pretty nice patio with a little fountain and fire pit. I can't believe I didn't take any pictures of my food.  That's unlike me, lol. I got the artichokes French and a side salad. The artichokes were not very good. They were mushy.  The salad was just terrible.  It hardly had anything on it, and the lettuce was limp and old looking.  The salad came with a roll, and that was the best part of my meal.  I don't need to tell you that's bad.  My friend has a wrap, and it looked good.  She said it was pretty good.  They don't have much here for vegetarians, which is disappointing. I doubt I'll be back, but the patio is nice. I've driven by it many times and never realized it was there. read more

Shepards pie, a wrap 2 cheeseburgers should not take over an hour to cook. Well I have to say the only reason we really go here is because I met my fiance there on our first date 4 years ago and every year we go back to the same spot where we sat. The problem is she's vegan and they absolutely have nothing on their menu unless it's custom made for her. I had their chicken French which wasn't bad small pieces of chicken but really $19? We're talking chicken here. LOL I do have to say their lobster bisque is good that I do enjoy. But the really interesting thing about this place and its namesake is the fact that every one of them are different and have completely different menus? That's never made sense to me if you go to McDonald's or if you go to Burger King or any chain restaurant you expect the same food, you go to Flaherty's it's all different.? Very strange. So if you happen to be in another area where there is one and you want to stop in for dinner because you like something that they have they don't have it. LOL I can say this that Honeoye Falls and Macedon have much better food by far. if you don't believe me about the menus Google Honeoye Falls menu and Google Macedon menu and you tell me that there's no difference. LOL it's astronomically different.. And come on guys get with that there are vegans and vegetarians in this world and people are just health conscious and want something a little more healthy. We travel a lot and have eaten at hundreds of restaurants.. in a good percentage of them do offer something vegan or vegetarian in today's world. Not to offer it seems a little antiquated. Disappointed to say the least. Went in for drinks and dinner. Hardly anyone at the bar. Male bartender ignored us the whole time. My drink was empty for almost an hour- never asked if I wanted another one. Apparently it wasn't personal- the other women sitting at the bar had empty drinks too. At some point of the visit he belched behind the bar in front of all of us. Not once did he check in on us- my friend asked for the bill but he only delivered hers. I was starving, and the menu looked completely boring and generic. The food lacked just as much confidence. I got the London broil and the gravy was salty it left no flavor for meat. I asked for medium and it was well chewy. It was placed a mound of potatoes that could be mistaken for a mountain. Loved the patio setup of a fire pit on one end and a water feature on the other, very welcome due to an almost-autumn chill in the air. Steve was a very personable server and the food was good. My spouse liked his steak. I will always recommend the spumoni bomba dessert. Their lobster bisque is great, except we didn't order it this time around. It has been confirmed by a phone call that I just made to this establishment that they refuse services to veterans with service animals. They also broke the law by informing the service member that his service animal required paperwork, which is a blatant lie. Do what you will with that information. If people in the service industry can't keep up with the laws, don't serve. read more

We opted for the dining room vs. a very noisy bar area and were promptly greeted by our server. While the beer list is not overwhelming, there are enough good craft choices. We had The Kind IPA and a pumpkin ale, both very tasty. The dinner menu includes all the regular burgers, sandwiches, and sides plus a step above with a good variety of meat and fish entrees. I had a fresh house salad to start while my wife had excellent lobster bisque. The Shrimp Alexander and a Mahi-Mahi special were both good, although we just returned from St. Lucia where we had some of the best fish ever. Maybe an unfair comparison. My wife guessed (and was right) that the dinner rolls were from Martucello's Bakery in Gates ---- a sign of good choice for the restaurant as these baked goods are the best! Went for an early dinner and were not impressed. I had the lobster bisque because I remember it from the Dickens restaurant and I had the chicken parm sandwich... BOTH were lacking in flavor and adding salt and pepper did not help. My partner had the chicken patricia and it was also lacking in any flavor and the chicken seemed old or precooked. The service was great and the drinks were good. I am not sure that the kitchen knows how to use food seasonings or maybe they just ran out. Not sure we will return. read more

Great location and free popcorn :) Food menu is good, Clams Casino were really good with a nice combo of roasted red peppers and bacon stuffing. Beef Irish stew was decent, just not great. Making a bad name for wings in Rochester. On a family friend's recommendation, we stopped by Flaherty's for some good ole buffalo wings. Unfortunately, this family restaurant did not meet expectations. The 45 minute wait on a Friday was to be expected, but the meal that followed was more than subpar. I think the holidays were a little overwhelming for the staff as our server had quite the impatient attitude throughout our meal, acting annoyed when we asked for more time to look over the menu. We put in an early order of garlic Parmesan and Guinness BBQ wings, extra crispy, and settled on other items later, including the club sandwich and beef stew bread bowl. The wings came out hot, but there was almost no meat on them. The garlic Parmesan had almost no flavor except "oily." Unfortunately I actually preferred those to the other wings, as the BBQ wings were so boring, no different than if I were to just smother my own home-cooked wings with Hunts. The rest of our meal wasn't awful, just very plain. Maybe all family restaurants are like this, but our family friend had given great recommendations in the past and we had much higher expectations. Went there late last year (2017) for take home dinner, and when I went to pay for the pick-up, the young female at the register asked me "Do you want your change back." I replied "Do you always ask your customers if they want their change back?" I asked as kindly as I could, yet sternly, she took the hint and quickly gave me all my change back. Forgave it as best I could, even tho it was incredibly inappropriate and unprofessional. Got take out again last weekend...a different young female host asked me if I wanted "all" of my change back, saying she was short. "Yes, I want all my change back." In my opinion, if anything, they should be compensating by giving the customer MORE than they're supposed to get back, if there is an issue with what coins may be on hand. OVER-pay them back. Don't ever UNDER pay them back, nor ask them if you can. Really lousy customer service conduct. On top of that, even tho she read me back my order, they got the order wrong. They were supposed to leave an item off my wrap, they did not. People may be allergic to certain things. It was a simple thing to leave off, and saves the restaurant money since they charge the same (perhaps even speeds up prep?). Enough said. Two bad experiences in a row. Flaherty's sponsors my softball team so I frequent this place about once a week. I like the food and drinks. The service is usually fantastic. I do agree with another reviewer saying that the menu could use a change. I have come here so many times over the years that I am sorta-kinda getting tired of the food. There's some days I'll just grab a beer and call it a day because I don't want to eat the same ol' stuff. My usual "go to" is soup (French Onion) and a salad. I recently tried the chicken parm sandwich (minus the roll due to being Paleo/Primal). This thing was HUUUUGE. They should have Billy Fuccillo introduce this sandwich. I couldn't even imagine it on a roll because it was big without all that bread. All in all, definitely a decent townie bar. You'll usually see the same faces if you go often. There's karaoke on Fridays. I like to go to watch the drunks try to sing. It's entertaining... I admit I don't have the balls to do it myself. read more

The fries were fries. But the service was excellent and they seemed accommodating of all ages and group sizes. It was a little disheartening that an Irish restaurant didn't have a special menu for St Patrick's Day (so I couldn't get the fish fry as it is only available Fri/Sat). The employees have not been trained on service dogs. They demanded paperwork to prove the dog was a service dog. No such paperwork exists. Service dogs/animals are different from emotional support animals, which are not allowed in many places. Service dogs go anywhere their human goes. Please educate you employees about this. Asking an Army veteran for paperwork for his service dog is a violation of the law. Under ADA guidelines no such paperwork exists. This restaurant really needs to take a look at the Americans with Disabilities Act so they make sure that they don't violate the law in the future. Not only did they violate the law, but they needlessly embarrassed a member of the veteran community who just wanted to go out to eat with a friend, not be harassed by restaurant staff, and have the attention of the entire restaurant drawn to him. This restaurant should be ASHAMED of themselves for the way they treated this man. I suggest finding a restaurant that appreciates the sacrifices our veterans make for us. read more

Quiet Tuesday night, just needed dinner and a drink, stopped here as it's next to Wegmans, and had never been here before (despite driving past it for years). The hostess was friendly and we opted to sit at the bar to watch the Yankee game. There were maybe 6 people at the square bar that could easily seat 20. We were ignored. Completely ignored. The bartender kept his back to us, kept cleaning glasses, talked to a few other people, but not us. Maybe only the regulars get service, so we left after 5 min. We've been to flahertys before, but very disappointed this time. It was a beautiful day and we were told we couldn't sit outside due to the poor air quality. I believe that we are all adults and we, the consumer, knows best if the air is bothersome and if we should or should not be outdoors to eat. Not being given the option is poor. This decision probably had more to do with the lack of staff for there were many customers and very few staff to wait on people. It took over an hour to receive our food - I believe our waiter was doing double duty both in the kitchen and waiting tables due to poor staffing. Not to mention he left our bill on another table - we wondered where our waiter was (most of the time) we only wanted to pay so we could leave - saw a bill on another empty table and sure enough that was our bill.
