We came specifically to support the new live jazz music initiative and reserved a table for 6 well in advance. I invited friends, and all of us drove a considerable distance for the evening, so having it unfold this way was not only frustrating, but honestly embarrassing. We placed our order around 6:45 PM and didn't receive appetizers until nearly 8PM. During that time we were given a rotating series of explanations: the POS system wasn't communicating with the kitchen, our food had been given to another table, and later that the chef had apparently decided he was done making food for the night. Meanwhile, every table around us -- including those seated well after we arrived -- somehow managed to receive both appetizers and entrées without issue. A few appetizers were comped, but that hardly made up for spending most of the night watching everyone else eat while wondering if our meals were ever coming. And when the food finally did arrive, it honestly wasn't very good -- especially for the price point. We came to support the restaurant and the musicians, and instead left wondering how this level of disorganization is sustainable. read more

Food was wonderful! Service was great. Staff was very attentive and really nice. We had the fried artichokes and whipped feta appetizers. Delicious! I had the Margarita Diablo, others had the risotto, schnitzel and chicken. All delicious. They made a fuss over me because it was my birthday and got a free dessert- key lime pie- others had chocolate tort and carrot cake. A really welcoming place- lovely ambiance. read more

We decided to try a new restaurant and came across this place. Our first attempt was on a Thursday, but they were inexplicably closed with no notice or explanation. We gave it another shot that Saturday after calling ahead to confirm they were open. We arrived around 6:30 PM--prime dinner time--only to find an almost empty restaurant with just one other couple dining. We were seated near the front door, which is separated from the dining area by only a cloth wall. Every time the door opened, the temperature dropped dramatically. It was absolutely freezing inside; some of us kept our winter coats on for the entire meal. Right away, there were issues. The online takeout menu is different from the in-house menu, which was disappointing since several items we liked online weren't available inside. On top of that, the prices--especially through the app--were extremely high for what was offered. I ordered the fried artichokes as an appetizer. They were decent, but nowhere near worth the price for the portion size. Despite the fact that we were essentially the only table ordering food (the other couple was finishing up), it took nearly an hour for our main courses to arrive. We were a table of five, and one person only ordered an appetizer, which had already been served. Two people ordered the Lemon Chicken Scaloppini. When the first plate arrived, it was a massive portion. When the second came out, it was literally half the size. How do two identical dishes served to the same table vary that dramatically? To make matters worse, both diners found the dish bland despite the portion discrepancy. I ordered the ribeye steak. It was cooked more done than requested, but the bigger issue was that it was wildly over-seasoned--so salty it was almost inedible. I couldn't even finish half of it. The mashed potatoes came with absolutely nothing: no butter, no gravy, no sour cream--just a warm, dry pile of mush. The grilled asparagus was good, but the extra-cost grilled mushrooms were a disappointment. It also seems the chef believes balsamic vinegar belongs on everything. It doesn't. Please stop--it overwhelms many of the dishes. When you spend over $200 on dinner, you expect consistency, quality, and at the very least, a warm and comfortable environment. Unfortunately, this experience delivered none of that. We won't be returning. read more

The food was good, although the menu was limited. The server was the host and the bartender which may have explained why it took so long to get served. There were people sitting a table away from us that were complaining to Each other about how long it took to get their food as well. Had a lovely dinner at Annette's. Jill, our server was friendly, polite and attentive. Ordered the beef and brie wrap with a side salad and lemon vinaigrette dressing. The wrap was fabulous. Very disappointed. The first time I came here food was amazing and service was great, so I decided to bring my family. This time server did their best but took forever to get our meal which was underwhelming and not worth the price that was paid. The chicken was extremely thin and overcooked for $28 with little flavor. Fantastic food! Excellent cocktails! Warm, very friendly service and inviting, comfortable atmosphere. Today's special, pork, was very tender and was served over mashed potatoes with a side of seasoned brussel sprouts, then finished with maple glaze. So, so good! My friend had the beef and brie wrap which was also delicious!. The server was very fun and made us feel very welcomed. Excellent service. Food was delicious. I had shrimp risotto and it was AMAZING. Big portions. My husband and I split the wedge salad and that was incredible too. Love what they've done inside, just wished our table against the wall was a little bigger and that the stools had backs on them. Seriously phenomenal experience at Annette's. I got to enjoy amazing fried artichokes as an appetizer, followed by shrimp risotto which couldn't have been made any better. My fiancé also enjoyed her a beef and Brie wrap which she said was dynamite! Splitting a cheesecake dessert to cap it off was to die for with the homemade raspberry drizzle. The service was great and anything I needed was quickly tended to. This combined with a very relaxing ambiance made us feel like we were eating a home cooked meal we didn't have to make, or clean!
