DO NOT GO HERE FOR AN OIL CHANGE! They spent 2 hours on a simple oil change and then charged me $90!! Way overpriced!

Even made up a receipt for our time and gave a balance of zero! Too kind, very rare these days, and we're so grateful to the Red Rock Auto Center team.

No, I do not recommend this shop. No I will not be returning…read more I made my appt a week in advance. I was a repeat customer. Matthew quoted me a 2 hour window for repairs to be completed. Except when I dropped my car off at 10am, they didn't tell me that they didn't even have the parts to do the job. I left on foot and when I walked back to the shop at noon to pick up my car, that's when Matthew told me they didn't even have parts yet. I was then told the parts wouldn't be in until 2. When I called at 3 and they still hadn't arrived, I requested my car back. As soon as I told them I was on my way to get my car, the parts magically arrived. When I asked Matthew why he waited until That Morning to order parts, when the appt was made a full week before, I got 2 answers: "because everyone showed them in stock" and "I have to pay for those parts when I order them". I'm confused, if they required a deposit to pre-order ball joints, they should have told me when I made the appointment. So, a 2 hr repair turned into 71/2 hours. They absolutely should have told me at 10am that the parts weren't there, and they could not possibly complete the repairs in the quoted time, so I could then have made an informed decision to reschedule my appt for when the parts were actually on site. They really dropped the ball. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because they did, in fact, complete the agreed upon repairs to my car- I think. Competently, I hope. Time will tell. Oh, and to add insult to injury, my car smelled like cigarette smoke and there were 2 big black fingerprints on the inside of the driver's door.

I called Randy's about 4:30 and they set me up for 8 the next morning. They got right on it and were finished by early afternoon. Great service, friendly place, and very fair pricing. I highly recommend Randy's if you need service in Flagstaff.

I want to share the experiences I have been having with Randy's Downtown Garage. I brought my car…read morein because my fuel door wouldn't open. Randy's said the fuel door and spring mechanism would need to be ordered and they charged me $546 to fix the door. I trusted them (my error for sure) and didn't research the estimate they gave and had them do the work. I later began to look into the costs and found that the price for a fuel door for my car was at the most $112, while Randy's charged me $245. Furthermore I learned when I dropped by the dealership that it wasn't necessary to replace the fuel door to fix the clip and spring that were the problem. In fact, Randy's charged me for those parts separately as well, at a rate more than double what the dealership cost. The dealership offered an estimate of $201 to repair the fuel door, a full $345 more than Randy's charged. I wrote a civil letter to Randy's and their owner, Harry Curtin, asking for a refund of the difference between what they charged and the more customary charge of $201. Two months later I have (of course) not heard nor received anything. I would strongly advise anyone to be very cautious with Randy's Downtown Garage. Certainly don't accept any estimate from them (as I did) as reasonable. I have not found them to be an honest business.
