14 year Annapolis residents. Cannot say enough good things about John and his Fixed HVAC crew who did a complete central a/c replacement for us in less than 5 hours, and barely one week from the time of his estimate. That was also the exact price we paid upon completion. Quality brand, not the builder grade stuff two others were giving estimates on using, and Fixed HVAC beat both their prices by over $1k with no back and forth! I've used them for routine maintenance over the last several years also. On time, clean and professional. We built one home and did extensive renovations/additions to three others. We are not rookies at hiring tradesmen. This is a local Annapolis outfit that deserves a shot at your business. Not kidding. read more

FIXED! HVAC Service - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - Annapolis, Maryland

Fixed! HVAC service has been Our go-to company for years. Prompt, fair, pleasant, good communication.

I have extreme dissatisfaction with the service I received from !Fixed following the failure of the heat pump system I purchased from !Fixed two years ago. While the initial installation appeared satisfactory, the unit itself has proven to be unreliable and significantly below the expected standard of quality. The heat pump malfunctioned, leaving my family--including three children, two of whom have special needs (Autism)--without air conditioning during a prolonged period of extreme heat (temperatures consistently in the 90s, reaching over 100°F on several days). This posed a serious health risk to our household. The heat pump's failure occurred twelve days after the expiration of the two-year labor warranty. While I understand this, I find the subsequent handling of the repair unacceptable. Despite !Fixed technicians diagnosing a faulty capacitor, and claiming to have a replacement on hand, I was presented with an ultimatum: pay $165 for the part immediately, foregoing the ten-year parts warranty, or wait 7-10 business days for the warranted part, incurring an additional $134 service charge for its installation. This situation felt like blatant exploitation, particularly given the urgent need for repair during the heatwave. The discrepancy between the !Fixed technician claim of having a replacement part immediately available and your insistence that I either pay for it upfront or endure a significant delay, contradicts the excellent service you claim to provide. My attempts to resolve this issue with your customer service and management teams have been met with complete silence. This lack of communication and responsiveness further compounds my disappointment. The substandard quality of the product and the subsequent deceptive practices are deeply concerning. I wouldn't definitely recommend not using this company. They took advantage of my family and in my opinion, they are crooks! read more

I reached out to this company because I wanted to replace my thermostat with a programmable thermostat. I have oil heat and apparently my system is not quite standard, so it was not a quick and easy fix. John, the owner, came out and looked over my system and was able to find me the perfect thermostat. I wanted something with a customizable display, but that also would work with my system. John did the installation and went above and beyond to help me customize it and answered my many, many questions. He was friendly and patient with me, as well as incredibly knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this company for any of your heating and cooling needs. I will definitely be calling them for anything I need in the future. read more

I used this service last summer and had a very good experience. My compressor was covered with ice this winter I changed the capacitor but the fan still not spin. So, I called "Fixed! HVAC", they sent Kevin to my house. Kevin told me to turn on the system (heat), so, I went in to turn it on. WHen I came out, he simply said my fan is broken and I need to replace one which will cost me $650 (he said Carrier fan is always expensive) plus this time inspection fee $124. He wrote that he spun the blade. I paid the $124 and decide to ask a 2nd opinion. Well, after he left, I just follow his invoice and spun the blade, BLUR! the fan just started to work. read more

One of my HVAC units was having an issue and after searching the local companies and the reviews, I chose Fixed. I called them and scheduled an appointment within a couple of hours of my call. They showed up on time and quickly diagnosed the issue. They explained to me what would be required and fixed the issue on the spot for a reasonable price. What more would you want in a service company?! read more

Stay away from this company!!! Their business module is predatory, their technician like Kevin Hynes has no professional ethnics at all! My AC is 21 years old, it was not cooling down, I knew it need to refill some Freon. So I called FIXED! on Wednesday morning telling them my AC needs Freon. Kevin came, after a quick look, he said I need to sign a contract with them to replace the whole system first, otherwise he won't fill the Freon. Since I have been considering to replace the system, so I happily asked them to email me the estimates, Kevin also confirmed me he would come back in the afternoon to get the AC work if I agree to sign the contract. Before he left, he request $134 for the trip, so I gave him the money. Then I started to review the estimates they emailed me, did some research on the brands of AC, called their office to request another AC brand estimate, she agreed. But no more emails coming, so I called back, she told me she was waiting for Kevin's response, so I called Kevin directly, that was 2:40pm. I asked him come back to get the AC working, he said he was on the way home, his business hour ends at 3:00pm, he can come the next day to fix it if I sign the contract. It was hot, even I signed the contract, he wouldn't come back to get the AC working the same day! Luckily, there are other companies are still open, Thursday and Friday were very hot too, on Friday noon, Kevin checked me back on the contracts. I responded: I already died due to heat!!! read more

We now have a brand new AC and furnace thanks to Fixed! As said in my first review, we were given a ballpark estimate and saved up over the winter to pay for this. When we were ready, we called him back to get a more official estimate and it was practically the same as his ballpark. Very cool! Communication was great, as usual. They arrived on time and got right to work. The install was done well. No sloppiness or cutting corners to save time in the install. All the lines from outside to inside are installed neatly and out of the way. The price was more than fair and the company in general is awesome. I would recommend them to anyone needing HVAC repair or replacement. read more

Called them to fix an amateur hot-wiring quick fix to a panel on the furnace done by the owner of the house we're renting. Super quick response time, same day inspection and fix. Techs were professional, courteous, and quick, and the price was fair. Would 100% recommend. read more

Super responsive - have been offered an appointment for within 24 hours each time I've called. Every technician Fixed has sent has been knowledgeable, friendly and very good at explaining the issue and repair necessary (or the options for repair), and getting us back up and running quickly. I can't comment on Fixed's prices as compared to others, especially because our HVAC system is complicated and I know the parts themselves aren't inexpensive. But the prices do not seem to be out of line with what I'd have expected to pay. And in reality, even if they were a little more than someone else, it would be worth it to me for the level of responsiveness they offer. read more

STOP HERE! Superb service. DO NOT bother calling any other HVAC company. John answered the phone within my first attempt and only in a couple of rings. Kevin came to the house to preform a service call within 3-4 hours, during peak season. Kevin is a consummate professional and educated me as to the workings and potential points of failure to watch for in the future. This is the customer service every company should strive to provide. read more

Communicated through the yelp app and was one of the quickest to respond. My issue was simple but they did a great job of explaining the situation and didn't try to take sell me on something I didn't need. He was very honest and the prices were reasonable. read more

We've used John a few times over the past couple of years and he is the best! We've had issues with our builder grade unit that is getting up there in age and he has been able to fix the issue for a reasonable fee while others have tried to sell us a whole new system or convince us to sign on a service contract. This last time, we called him on a Sunday afternoon since our AC was broken again and he arrived 10 minutes later. We thought our system was done given what he had told us the year prior but he was able to fix it up and said we didn't need to buy a new unit then. John is definitely not trying to sell you a system that you don't need! He works incredibly fast, is professional and personable and his rates are very reasonable. I've recommended him to my neighbors and everyone else has been very pleased as well. You cannot go wrong with John at Fixed! read more

Our AC broke last month and after seeing all of the great reviews, I figured I would find out for myself. My husband and I were prepared to have to pay for a new unit and we were dreading hearing those words. Usually most places always want to sell you stuff you don't need so we went into it expecting the worst. It took pretty much the whole day for them to show up but I understood because there were several people and places with no ac that weekend so we waited. When the guy showed up, he instantly found the problem, grabbed a part out of his van and boom, it was fixed. We were shocked it was that simple. We were extremely grateful and so thankful it was an inexpensive repair that could be resolved so quickly. We will definitely use them going forward anytime we need a repair! read more

Don't call anyone else. Just call John at Fixed HVAC. He is very responsive and when he schedules your appointment he is right on time. No waiting around. I have used him a few times for repair and he has always been honest, never tried to upsell additional parts or services and has had reasonable pricing. The last visit was to replace my whole HVAC system. John offered various product suggestions and price points. Once we agreed on the equipment he quoted me a price. I agreed and the equipment was installed a few days later. Talk about a professional job. Wow. When he was done, other than shiny new equipment, you would have never known he was there. So, don't call the guys on TV or the big chain guys, call John at FIXED HVAC. You will get a quality job at a reasonable price while supporting a local business. read more

Called and inquired about having my air-conditioner fixed and the guy laughed at my questions which I thought was rude. they charge 129 just to come out and look. Heidler charges 89 and has great ratings. read more

Our heater died after a good 20 year run. Fixed! was the only company that came out the day we called for an estimate. We sought out other estimates in the days following but those were $2K more. We went with Fixed! because of their service and price. Installation went smoothly and we're happy with our new system. read more

John was wonderful! Called this morning because my ac wasn't cooling the house. He came out that day! I wasn't home but I had him let himself in so he could get started. By the time I got home he already knew the problem. Gave me options. Waited for me to decide. Fixed it quick! Very friendly and efficient. I'd highly recommend him to anyone! read more

Their name is FIXED for a reason. My HVAC (outside and inside units) stopped working in the middle of the night on a day when it was 11 degrees outside. I called as soon as they opened and was quoted a 3 hr window...they came in 30 mins (major plus). Mike came in, assessed the problem and was out in an hr. The price was reasonable and I have heat. Highly recommend. read more

Had my ac go out on me on a really hot summer day. They fit me in and we're very down to Earth! Would definitely recommend to anyone!

I cannot tell you how relieved John with FIXED! HVAC Service made me feel. AC starting tripping the breaker. I changed my filters still tripped. Called in a pro as per Google. I trust YELPers in most all things, so that's how I found John. He answered my call within 10 minutes and came the next day to my home in South Bowie. He fixed it-no sales talk-no dire emergent need to buy all new HVAC. JOHN was professional, knowledgeable and reasonable. He went above and beyond and checked out my heat and duct work while he was here. I will recommend and use him for any HVAC needs going forward. I didn't tell him I'm a REALTOR it goes without saying he is on my trusted licensed contractor listing now. Should my clients be within his service area. read more

Our air conditioner stopped blowing cold air over night. Of course, your first thought is the money that this is going to cost. After calling 3 other companies who found reasons not to come to my place, I called Fixed!. John actually answered and was here within an hour. John was cordial and professional. He quickly identified the problem (blown fuse) and made the repair. There was no upsell. No suggestion to replace 8 other things to make the call worthwhile for him. It was quick, painless, and very relieving. Our unit is 15-16 years old. In the near future we will need a new one. There won't be 4 calls to see who is available. We will be calling John. Thank you John. Thank you Fixed!. read more

Requested a quote to replace a leaking hot water heater. I was quoted nearly double what the next contractor I called did the job for: a 4-figure difference on a job that only took the guy 2-3 hours. Communication was ok, but I have no idea why the price was so much higher! I've never been charged to get a quote for work in the area, but I also received an invoice for the quote! No fee for providing the quote was mentioned before hand. Edit: See John's reply - he waived the fee, which is very decent of him. There was apparently a miscommunication on both our parts. I already had it diagnosed and didn't make that clear enough. read more

First off John is super friendly and nice. He showed up on a moments notice and fixed my A/C in less than a hour. He was super professional and knew exactly where to look to solve my issue. He even had the exact part needed complete the job on hand in his truck, which made the repair time even quicker. He took CC payment directly off a mobile device which made payment super easy. I would definitely recommend John to help solve any of your HVAC needs. read more

What can I say...the reviews are spot on. John made it out to my house quickly and gave a thorough inspection of my A/C unit and an honest assessment of my issue. He was extremely helpful in answering my questions and I feel completely comfortable with the estimate and information he provided. Genuinely nice person and very professional. I'd recommend him in a heartbeat. read more

After reading all of the great reviews, I was a bit skeptical. I am so glad That I didn't have to write that one bad review. He managed to squeeze me into his tight schedule and he arrived early (how often does that happen). John provided excellent and professional service and was a complete pleasure. I would recommend Fixed/John to everyone. read more

John is great. He was around when we were renting and now that we are owners we asked him to help with our current unit It's a builder grade unit-nothing special probably on its last legs...but he was very helpful. I will definitely use his services when we need to fix this one again or when we need to purchase a new unit. Thank you! read more

He was able to fit me in during a busy season. Diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly. Was very friendly and reasonably priced.

It's a very rare thing now-a-days to find a workman who really knows his stuff, has a great attitude, and does what he said he would when he said he would, all at a fair price. John is one of those very rare finds! His hourly rate seemed high when quoted, but *HOW MUCH* he accomplished in the time he spent here was extraordinary. More like astounding! I'm used to feeling used after a workman leaves, but not this time. He even shared the names and numbers of other workman who do other tasks that I need done. Today, I feel I've found someone I can trust; which is something I haven't felt in quite a while. Plus my A/C's working again!!! (Although I live in Florida most of the year, we have a summer cottage in Annapolis, and this is where the work was done.) read more

My AC stopped working and John was able to come out the same day. He was very knowledgable and professional. Pricing was reasonable and the problem was resolved within an hour. My old AC is still running wonderfully. Highly reccomend! read more

My HVAC started making strange noises the day before the big snow rolled in. John came out (amazing enough, to begin with), knew just what to do, and fixed it quickly and for a very fair (not blizzard-inflated) price. We couldn't have been more impressed or pleased. Thanks, John! read more

Fixed AC is awesome. Was having trouble with our AC for a week. It runs, but turned off before reaching desired temp. Anything could be wrong. Called Fixed at 2pm on a Tues. Got an appt for next day at 11am. Mike showed up at 10am. How many companies are early!! He figured out the issue (clogged condensation line) and had it fixed in 30 min. Billed us the cost of a service call. We will always used Fixed AC from now on. Thanks Mike. read more

I was skeptical of all of the great reviews, as they just seemed to be too good to be honest or to be true reviews. However, the technician showed up within two hours of my non-emergency call, resolved the problem, did not try to sell unnecessary services, and was genuinely honest. I will work with them again when it is time to replace my AC system and refer others to their business. read more

Heat wave and 9 months pregnant - of course that's when my AC died! I called two other companies (no particular reason or order) and they couldn't come out for about 2-3 days. I called this company this morning and they squeezed me into their schedule within 2 hours. They even called when 20 minutes out! They were able to find the issue, fix it, then inspect the whole HVAC system for any other issues, all in less than 30 minutes. Granted, it was a minor problem but they were willing to come out without knowing whether it was big or small. I am SO grateful for their speediness and efficiency. Mike was the one who came and he seemed extremely knowledgeable and friendly, ready with answers to all my questions and didn't make me feel rushed or cheated. Very impressed! read more
