Don, I appreciate the reply, but I need to correct and clarify several points for the record. This system has experienced repeated failures since installation in 2021, including multiple breakdowns and parts replacements well before September 2022. A brand-new HVAC system should not require continual repairs year after year. Routine maintenance does not explain or excuse that pattern. More importantly, improper installation is documented in your own service records. Those records reflect installation-related issues identified during subsequent service visits. Maintenance does not correct improper installation, nor does it negate responsibility for a system that has never operated reliably from the start. Routine maintenance is intended to preserve a properly installed and functioning system--not to compensate for installation defects or recurring component failures. The frequency, severity, and persistence of these outages are not consistent with normal maintenance-related issues. As of this writing, we have been without heat for more than 12 hours during extreme temperatures, while an official Extreme Cold Warning is in effect. Losing heat under these conditions is not a minor inconvenience--it is a serious safety concern, particularly given that this is a relatively new system that has never performed reliably. The concern raised in my review goes beyond today's service visit and includes: A documented history of installation issues Repeated system failures since installation Parts replaced multiple times Service fees charged to address recurring defects Extended loss of heat and air during unsafe conditions Dismissive and unreasonable customer interactions While I appreciate that a technician is being sent today, that does not resolve the underlying issue: a system that has required continual repairs since installation and has failed again under dangerous conditions. Belair Engineering installed a new HVAC in my home on 11/7/2025. They arrived according to schedule, performed an extremely professional job, gave me instructions to how to work the thermostat, run both the furnace and air conditioner to ensure performance, remove all debris and left before the sunset. Had a service tech come out after losing my AC in the middle of this heat wave, 6/25/2025. Tech told me I would be hearing from Parts department after tech diagnosed I needed a fan motor. After not hearing from Rusty in Parts department I called him to follow up on parts needed. Rusty then told me this request had to go through service department. I have yet to hear from anyone. Me and my family have been customers for over 40 years!!! Needless to say, they officially have lost a 40 year customer and any referrals have given in the past. i have been a customer of Belair for in excess of 25 years. they recently replaced my heat pump and air handler for the 2nd floor. They asked me to call them afterward to schedule an inspection required by the County, which I did. I was told that the County actually has one of the Belair employees do the inspection for them. I waited at home all day on the date of the appointment and no one showed up or called. I called Belair in the late afternoon and was told that they could not reach the County inspector who they need to speak with before coming out to do the inspection so they just did not show up - no courtesy phone call to me. I rescheduled the inspection for another date for between the hours of 8 AM and 1 PM and, again, my wife and I were both at home during that entire time and no one showed up I called Belair and as told that Tom came to our house and knocked and no on answered. We have a doorbell but neither my wife or I heard anyone knock and the doorbell did not ring. They told me that Tom also tried to call me. When I checked my cell phone I saw that he did leave a message but the phone number he called from was from Belair's office number so I know he did not call from our home when he says he was there. The service from Belair seems to have gone downhill over the years, so beware. Once when one of their technicians showed up for a check-up of my systems the technician walked over to the alarm pad on the wall and asked me how to turn the heat up. What does that tell you?? As such, it was only logical to stay with a reliable company. Their assigned associate, Julius Ford, contacted us on the morning of the appointment as to when hed be at our home. He arrived on time and wasted no time to prep the area for the removal of the old and replacement of the new water heater. If I could give a zero stars to this company I would. I was out of hot water for 7 days. They sent an on call person out who they knew wasn't a plumber and took his word about what was wrong. We had to get an electrician for no reason as the on call person said it was an electrical issue. Belair didn't send a plumber out until 7 days later once the part came in that the non plumber had ordered. They didn't tell the plumber the actual issue so once he installed the part and I asked about the hot water he realized that the part he put in wasn't fixing my issue. Belair then wanted me to wait another 2-3 days for another part to come in so they could save money on it instead of getting it from the place that had it in stock. If it was not for a very good knowledge employee (Julius Ford) I would still be out of hot water. Belair's customer service was horrible. Their ability to send out the proper person in a timely manner is greatly upsetting. Whoever is running the office and schedule is doing a terrible job and they will loose business and good employees if they don't fix this. Belair has gone down in standards significantly since the pandemic has ended. They need to find the pre pandemic workers and run their company better. I do not recommend them at all. Ron: as to your response, bad customer service is not a good deed. The part that you ordered that did not come in until Monday was the wrong part because you did not send a plumber to look at a plumbing issue. If you would have done this you would have ordered the right part and not needed to waste money on the wrong part nor supposedly pay more for a warranty part. If your policy is that a client can be out of hot water for over a week waiting on a warranty then you should understand that this is a below one star service. You did not explain anything to me as the customer and your technician is the one who was the most helpful. So no you have not done a good deed you fixed the blunder of a terrible customer service experience you created. Send the proper professional to do the assessment the first time and you could have avoided all of this. its bad business practices what your company did this past week. read more

I wouldn't recommend. Previous owner had Belaire install two high-end Carrier heat pumps to sell the home I bought. Systems installed 6-months before we moved in. Upon moving in, I called Belaire to level the heat pumps, which were way off level. Bad install IMO. They quoted $600 for this service... 30 minutes and a few bags of gravel. Not a good experience. Just last week, Carrier fan died 5 year and 6 months after install. Both dispatcher and service tech said the parts are covered under warranty, which they later rescinded because I'm not the original owner and the 10 year warranty no longer applied. Belaire then quoted $1500 to replace the condenser fan which of course they couldn't install for about a week because they couldn't get the part for the high-end system they sold. Lots of lessons. Don't buy the 'cadaillac' system because parts are outrageously expensive and the hard to get. Only good news is I don't need to talk to Belaire ever again. read more

Tech was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Answered all my questions even if it went past the scope of his company provides, remodel work. We were not able to fix the issue due to major failed parts but tech did set me up for a next day new unit consultation. He was very professional and did not talk me into parts or equipment I did not need or would not help. This is the first in person and interaction I have had with this company, initial diagnosis. They came in and replaced hot water heater and furnace for a rental house. No issues with the work they did other than it took a few days to get them scheduled. 2 weeks later the duct work fell from ceiling in basement of this unoccupied property. Not only did they deny any responsibility but they also wanted to charge me $1000-$1500 to repair something that a friend and I repaired in 5-6 hours. Will not use them again. read more

Called to get an estimate for a new unit at my renovation in Temple Hills. Had to provide my information to an operator, and then all of it again to a "sales manager" 10 minutes later. The sales manager was stuck on having someone present during the estimate. I said not a problem but we have other projects and prefer to have someone come in via the lockbox. He stated that they would have all kinds of questions. I asked what they were and he said "you know like efficiency of the unit." I explained that the property was smaller and a condo that was attached to other units. As such it should be fine with an economy unit. I explained as well that we were simply looking for the lowest cost solution that could adequately heat and cool the space. He then told me that Belair isn't the right solution. So I guess if you want a low cost option for a property that won't require a large unit because it's smaller and attached to others, you shouldn't call Belair. Glad I could save others some time.
