Response was supper fast and my home was back to a comfortable temp in no time. Gabe explained the process, was prompt, professional, and cost conscious. Thanks folks at Pro-Tech HVAC Home, Edie read more

Excellent service . Beyond expectations . I've known Chris for many years and found him to be trustworthy and helpful.

Update. We used this business two years ago and thought they were great. Recently, one of our AC units stopped working. I called Pro Tech & left a voice message, sent a text, and put in an online service request (all of the methods they suggest). I did not get a response at all, so I ended up calling another company. I don't know if they are exceptionally busy, but I would have appreciated a call back if they were too backed up. read more

Chris and his team are amazing. was able to schedule quickly and technician was very prompt. He was very knowledgeable about what need to be done. Love ProTech! Thank You!! read more

On your website, "Our Service Area" includes Severna Park, MD but when I called they said you're out of the area. Needed a mini-split repaired or replaced and my heat pump serviced for annual maintenance. Waste of time to call them and they need to correct their website!! read more

Came home from a weekend away to find my house at 78 degrees. Assumed the thermostat had just shut off the AC automatically while I was gone only to realize about 8 hours after I got home that the house wasn't cooling. Warm air was coming through the vents. Called Chris and he was at my house within an hour. He confirmed on the phone when I called that the outside unit wasn't running and when he arrived, he quickly zeroed in on a blown capacitor. He replaced it and was in and out within 30 minutes. I appreciated that he walked me through everything he was doing and explained what he was looking for. He wrote up the invoice, walked me through it on his iPad, and processed my payment via credit card. Super easy and I highly doubt anyone could have done it at a lower price as I was only charged for 30 minutes if his time and the cost of the replacement part. read more

I called Chris yesterday because my HVAC system stopped working while I was out of town. He was quick to call me back and was able to come look at my unit 24 hours later. He was professional & very nice, and got my 30 year old unit repaired and working within an hour. I'll definitely be recommending Pro-Tech to friends and will use them again, should anything go wrong in the future. read more

This company is the best! I'm so thankful that I found them to make the necessary repairs to my AC. From the initial call for service to the repairs to the payment, I could not be a more satisfied customer! Honest, professional, efficient & hard-working are just a few ways I'd describe them. Any HVAC needs I have in the future, I will be calling Pro-Tech! read more

These guys rock! They didn't just come in and give me a price to replace my heat pump. They actually tested my duct work for leakage and recommend options based on what my duct work could handle and what I could afford. Highly recommended. read more

I called Pro-tech because they were recommended. They did a great job, but the technician charged me for TWO TRIPS at $150 each! He needed a part for my A/C and had to go to the warehouse for it. I feel that I should not have been charged for two trips and I wasn't told by the technician that they offered a military discount. Still, I will need their services again for my other unit in the winter, but will make sure I don't get charged twice for a trip fee and get my military discount. read more

Chris came up with a terrific solution to deal with a difficult spacing issue that saved me serious money when replacing my heat pump. The process was quick and easy. read more

Had an entire new HVAC system installed. Crew was clean and very efficient. One day installation. Went with Pro-Tech because someone I know recommended them. Nice tidy installation, no problems. I would recommend Chris and his crew for your HVAC maintenance or new install. New furnace that Chris recommended is much more energy efficient than what came out of the house. Very happy overall. read more

Same day service on a much needed AC repair. Chris and company are the real thing. I am cancelling my other contract with the big utility company, which would not give me a service call until 10 days after my HVAC stopped working - and that's with a pricey annual service contract! Great service and kind consideration deserve great loyalty. That's what I feel for Pro-Tech HVAC. My business = won. Not to mention the kindness and care that are obvious in the entire transaction. Thank you Chris!! read more

So far I am thrilled with the units that were installed. The owner is very hands on and involved with all of the phases. My house was rather old and may have taken longer to remove and install the HVAC system however the owner made sure it would only take a day to complete. read more

Called ProTech today with an emergency, they called back ASAP, came out within two hours and were extremely helpful in trying to find the most cost effective way to fix my AC unit. I'll definitely be calling them again read more

Best in the business. Thanks for coming out so quickly. And thanks for being the most professional, honest, and customer-oriented HVAC people in the business. AC went out and I thought I needed a new unit. Instead you honestly assed it and serviced it. You also installed a new AC and heating system in another house of mine two years ago. I could not be more pleased with the experience then and now. Thanks!! read more

Fantastic customer service, had an issue with our heat, explained what had happened and Chris told me I could probably fix it and how to do it. Extremely professional, knowledgeable and personable. Will not be calling anyone else for anything HVAC related, but Chris and folks at Pro-Tec!!! read more

Pro Tech was very responsive. My AC went out in the hottest day of summer during Commissioning Week. I called them at 6:00 PM and they responded that night and arrived at my house the next morning. They gave me a quote for repairing the unit and also for a new unit. I went with the new unit, which they installed within a few days. I called three other places. They took days to call me back. Price and customer service was great. I highly recommend. read more

Chris was awesome! He was able to get to us quickly and practiced safe covid practices. Will definitely be calling him again for future needs! read more

Unfortunately this company is no longer trustworthy. I have used Pro-Tech in the past, and they were always great to work with. Because of my past experience (and all of the great reviews here), I hired them to replace my heat pump unit when it was finally necessary to do so. About halfway through the install of the new system, the owner of Pro-Tech sent me a text that stated that the new system would not be compatible with my existing Nest thermostat. Obviously this would have been good information to know prior to making the decision to buy that particular brand of heat pump. As my old heat pump was already removed, and the new one was half in, there wasn't much that could be done about it. I asked the owner, Chris, if he would install a different brand of smart thermostat that was compatible with the new heat pump if I purchased it at my own cost and provided it. Chris agreed to this. 2 months later, despite many emails and texts, it remains undone. I would not recommend trusting this company with your business. No integrity. read more

Pro Tech came to the rescue when our AC stopped working right before the weekend. All the larger HVAC companies "put me on the list" to be seen on Monday. I decided to call this local company...Chris came out THAT EVENING and assessed our unit. He was extremely helpful in diagnosing and finding a solution for us. He came the back the very next day to make sure his solution was still up and working. Our unit is old, but thanks to Pro Tech, it's up and running for the summer and even has a few more months to spare. Definitely top notch service! read more

Could not recommend Chris and his team highly enough. Chris came in as a Mitsubishi diamond contractor, gave the lowest estimate of five that we solicited for a mini-split install in a Capitol Hill row house. He was super responsive, professional, and courteous. The install went quickly and easily, and the mini split is amazing. Thanks Chris! read more

After today I understand why Chris (owner) and Pro-Tech have a 5-star rating from almost every single customer. Awesome customer service! It's not too often that the owner himself contacts you, works around your schedule, and comes out the next day. When my 14-year old heat pump stopped working on a 90 degree day, I was bracing for worst case scenario. Three years ago I had a larger company work on it and told me I should've replaced it then. Well I've gotten another 3 years out of it and figured it was time. Chris arrived on time and was polite and professional. Instead of selling me something I didn't need, he spent over an hour running up and down multiple flights of stairs and into a crawl space to fix the slow leak in my existing unit (did I mention it was 90 degrees!!) He said I could get another few years out of it! He has definitely earned my business for any future work, including the new heat pump that I'll eventually need. It's so refreshing to work with someone so honest who wants to earn my trust and business. No wonder they're rated so high on Angie's List, Home Advisor, and the better business bureau (A+). Look no further. read more
