FIX COFFEEBAR @ MONTROSE The iced chai tea latte with oat milk was good, I really liked the inside of the cafe--it would be a really good place to study! The workers were super nice and fast with getting the kolaches. I liked how the prices were reasonable and the overall aesthetic/atmosphere!
FIX Coffeebar is a coffee shop in Montrose in Houston. There are very limited parking spaces in the plaza, most of the parking spots are reserved for the other businesses in the plaza. I found this place on yelp and decided to try it out because of the picturesque latte photos on yelp. I ordered the honey lavender latte, expecting it to look like some of the photos I've seen - in a mug, with latte art, and with a hint of purple color. The worker at FIX said he doesn't do latte art, there's no purple food coloring, and the larger size latte doesn't come in a mug, only a to-go cup. I still ordered the drink and it was okay. I enjoyed the honey lavender latte, but probably wouldn't have specially driven out here for it cuz it looked and tasted ordinary and not special. The ambiance in the coffee shop was cool and I liked how they sold local art work.
Reasonably priced indie coffee shop in Montrose on the bus path no less? Absolutely worth it. Great drink selection, comfortable environment, friendly service. And a $3 mystery box of pastries is easily one of the city's great bargains.
The smoked rosemary cortado had the perfect balance because the smokiness takes away the bitterness. The iced shaken cinnamon swirl was perfect cuz it wasn't too sweet. I think what makes their coffee good is their beans
Great vibes and staff!!! You will leave here feeling good and taken care of!! The coffee is definitely made with love here and you feel it when you walk in the door! I suggest you take a look at their menu but they are also willing to make whatever you like! This is a great place for you to work and/or have a convo with someone. I can see myself hanging here more often. It's not very big inside but there are tables and chair options for small and mid size groups. I will be back for sure. Oh watch out for parking! There are not many options!! So try the parking lot where marked spaces are allocated but consider street parking as well and taking a short walk over to the place. Happy Yelping!

We have a high end coffee maker at home so we make most of our drinks. Every once in a while we will treat ourselves to coffee shop coffee and FIX was worth it. The shop itself is also very relaxed and quiet. Could definitely come and read for a while. They didn't seem to have much parking because they share it with other businesses. But that's expected in downtown Houston at popular spots.
I have only good things to say here! It is such a vibe! Love the decorations. Great place to work or study (which is what I did!) was nice and quiet. If you need the Wi-Fi, make sure you get your receipt! The password is on there and lasts a few hours. I ordered the lavender latte and ohhhh boy it tasted as good as it looked. And it sure looked pretty! Can't wait to become a regular here! Fantastic coffee and so many wonderful option to try
I love the casual atmosphere at FIX coffee bar. It's very woodsy and dark, but still super bright. The coffee was really great, honestly a bit mind blowing. I really enjoyed their Nitro. It was creamy, refreshing and silky.

Check out person was sweet, kind, open for a small talk, when I asking for advice and recommendations he was willing to help! He helped me to choose delicious coffee. When I made a small sip I could taste a high quality coffee beans. Honey Lavender taste made slightly bitter taste of coffee smooth. It is probably one of the best coffee I've ever had. I believe that this place has a high standard due to a fact that it's small family owned business. If you considering to try this place out please do not waste your time on thinking just go and check for yourself. You will not regret 100%! Worth every penny! P.S. person that checked me out was the owner and he was very sweet, respectful and kind. (Saying it because I saw some 1 star reviews stating that the owner was mean to them).
I would see the coffee shop when going to get my lashes done in the same shopping center for quite awhile. I finally decided to try it out and I am so happy that I did. It's a cute coffee shop that you could meet up with someone or maybe just study or for a new work environment definitely recommend. I got the he cinnamon shaken swirl(I think that was the name) lol. I loved it so much I went back a few days later. I got it iced with almond milk and it was delicious! The barista are really nice and bring out the coffee directly to you so the service here is also nice. If you are in the montrose area definitely check them out!

This is the best coffee shop I've ever been too. My only complaint in life about this place is that they aren't open later!! Genuinely though, everything I could ever want in a coffee shop is here. They have: - comfortable seating - excellent coffee with house made syrups and interesting offerings - an insane number of games and puzzles available - really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable baristas - indoor & outdoor seating - easy parking The smoked rosemary cortado is one of the most incredible coffees I've ever had. It's amazing. The vibe in there is perfect for anything. 10/10. I love Montrose and always went to Agora because I didn't know where else to go & I really really don't like agora. I'm so happy we found this place. It's in the heart of Montrose and is 10x better than agora in every way EXCEPT the hours of operation! read more
Great little gem in a side mall. The staff is amazing and inviting. Really to tackle any drink combinations. The ambience is jazzy boho with an edge. My wife loved the local art on the wall as well as cards for sale of the art. Great touch. The food is fresh, delicious and quick. Great place to drop by for your caffeine fix or to settle in for new chapters in your novel (Godzilla vs The economy) don't judge me! Would definitely recommend read more

Quick service Coffee spot on Westheimer. It's located on the corner of a small shopping plaza on the south side. Interior is very small and there's maybe a table or two outside as well. Parking may be tight depending on the time of day. Honestly my impression was that the interior was a little bit bland and the Coffee also did not stand out in a good or bad way either. I think with the heavy competition in the area, there are more options to try out if you want to go for Coffee, ambiance, or both. read more

Hands down, the best lavender latte I've had. Sweet honey and strong lavender flavor, and maybe something else in there that just makes it extra tasty? I don't know what it is but I thought about it days and weeks and now MONTHS after. Sweet baristas told us to come back soon bc they were putting up more pictures on the walls. Just wish there were more parking up at the front but regardless, will be visiting next time I'm in Houston! This latte loves rent free in my mind. read more
Get the honey lavender latte. Just do it. It may be the most expensive one you order in the area, but it is delicious. They DO have wifi available after you purchase something. You just need to ask the friendly barista behind the counter for the code which will last you 3 hours. Honestly, you'll want to order food or more coffee if you're hanging out for longer than that. Jams are good, vibes are good. It's a small spot, so great for a small meet up. There have been several 1:1 meetups while I've been here. Parking is limited, but that's Houston for ya. You can drive on Whitney for street parking. read more

Blueberry basil latte - 10/10 - $6.25 - This flavor was out of my comfort zone for coffee drinks but I was surprised at how much I absolutely loved it! The sweetness was just right and I didnt even have to ask for more syrup. Ive tried their basic lattes before which were mid but I would go back here for their specialty drinks specifically! read more
No vibe of any kind here just a standard coffee place. I do appreciate their unique flavor lattes and other quirks. There isn't very comfortable seating and it felt like the AC was off when I was in here. I ended up going simple and trying for an iced mocha latte. Which ended up being an iced latte with a chocolate syrup swirl in the cup. Now I really could've forgiven this if the latte was at least good but it wasn't. I dunno I feel like a latte is bare minimum. Regardless wish them the best and it could've just been an off day. I think if there were decent parking options I would come back and try it again. Coffee quality: The honey lavender latte is sooo good and creamy wow. On coffee quality alone this is one of my favorites in Houston. Vibe: nothing too special about the interior. Lots of outlets though which I like. Good for working. WiFi: Sadly the WiFi situation here times out after 2 hours. If you can deal with this then I don't see any issue! Parking: basically expect to park on the street. There are pretty much no spots unless you are take out only. Overall this is one of my new faves! read more
Popped in after lunch for a coffee, and got the seasonal hot Spiced Pecan Latte (with Oatmilk because I'm one of those losers). My drink was excellent. Great flavor and the steamed milk was done well. My buddies got a Matcha Chico (matcha powder in Topo Chico), and as he put it "it tastes exactly how you think". The ambiance was inviting but not cozy, no soft chairs or anything to keep you lounging around for a while. The barista was helpful, you'd be surprised by how important that can be. This is just hands-down the best coffee shop in Houston. Their wifi is back and their seasonal drinks are always so so so good. All the baristas here are super friendly and KNOW how to make a killer cup of coffee. You just can't skip out on this place. My faves are the honey lavender, s'mores, then king cake. I hear the blueberry basil is amazing too but that comes out in the spring sometime. Be in the lookout for it! read more

FIX was a great cafe with good study vibes. There were lots of tables inside and my sister and I were able to study uninterrupted for the entire day. I got a matcha latte and it was decent. The matcha flavor was strong (which I like), but I wish they served the drink slightly warmer. Overall, I liked FIX and will probably be back to study. Note that parking is limited and you might need to park on the street! read more

If you come to Houston check this spot out! The owner (i'm assuming)/barista is seriously one of the nicest guys. He makes all the syrups in house and they are so delicious. I love the vibe inside here and there is a ton of seating with intimate settings as well. The price point for this spot is perfect, I ordered a blueberry basil matcha and chocolate croissant. The croissant was so buttery and delicious and the matcha was in the top 10 marchas I've ever had in my life. read more

Get: honey lavender latte; any specialty/seasonal latte; breakfast tacos Avoid: coming in multiple cars (limited parking), not great study place if you need an outlet I've been coming here for the past 4 years and still love it. The quality of the espresso is evident and makes the lattes even more amazing. My go to drink is the honey lavender latte - it's not too sweet or floral but is quite nice. The s'mores seasonal latte and Peeps valentines latte are also favorites of mine! The food options are limited but in the mornings they have good breakfast tacos and throughout the day they have baked goods. The chocolate chip muffin is pretty good, a little hard and dry but better when it's heated up. I love the coffee and service here! Great place to visit! read more

Are there pourover options?
Do they allow dogs?
Dogs are only allowed inside the shop if they are a registered service animal due to city health ordinance. However dogs are welcome on the little area we have outside the front of the shop.
Do they still have open mic nights?
Never did unless you mean the FIX Poetry evenings. Every other Tuesday starting again tomorrow
Do they have dairy alternatives?
Yes they do. Thank god. I'm Lactose intolerant too.
