Kat was super quick with her responses and was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and process for repairs. Dropped off the vehicle with Kat at Altra and heard back less than 24 hours later on the assessment outcome. Unfortunately, the accident had left some damage to the truck frame itself, which could not be seen until break down of the vehicle. While I'm sure sharing this outcome with me was just as unfavorable as hearing the unfortunate news, Kat was extremely kind in letting me know options I had as I shared I am not a car-savvy lady. She went over all possible options and gave me some extra time to think about what I wanted to do moving forward. Ultimately because of the age of the vehicle, it was not worth putting the money in to fix and ended up selling it to part out. Even with the unfortunate outcome (due to the accident), I would 10/10 recommend Kat and her crew over at Altra to anyone who is needing repairs. Grant, whose business card lists him as an Estimator, was with me every step of the process. He welcomed me to the business, examined my car, discussed repair issues with me, and arranged a time for drop off and pick up since I was going put of town on vacation. I dropped my car off, went on my trip, and picked the car up when I returned. The car looks good as new! The body work was done and the car was thoroughly washed and cleaned and ready to go. Grant texted me during the process to make sure I was informed of progress. He was excellent! I depend on Yelp reviews when having to deal with choosing between unfamiliar businesses. I was comfortable choosing Carstar due to the rave reviews from Yelpers. Add me to the list of customers who enthusiastically recommend this as a place to have auto body work done.

They give me my quote and I drop my car off they anticipate it taking about 2 weeks to finish cool. I call them asking for updates after it had been almost a month and they tell me that the OEM headlights that they ordered came in broken and were on back order until December. So they recommend after market headlights as this was in September when they told me. I don't get headlights on my car that came in for a broken bumper for 3 months! Then I get my car back and everything seems fine until i notice there's a water leak in my headlights and then one of my bulbs goes out. I go to change my bulbs and messed with the conversion kit and got the wrong bulbs so i go back to carstar for them to tell me which ones i need to get. They tell me and I order them mind you they are of no help at all getting this fixed they told me they would reach out if it gets approved to fix by insurance and they never reached out I had to call them 2 weeks later after not having headlights for a months and zero help from these people. So i ordered the kit and put it in the car myself very simple unlike what Mike was saying about how complicated it is. Fast forward to about a week ago one of my headlights goes out again and at this point Im convinced it's because they didn't put the headlights assembly in correctly. As the bulbs haven't even been in a month and my headlights fog up anytime the car gets washed or is in rain. I decided to look at my invoice from them and do some research turns out these people never ordered the OEM bmw headlights and still charged it to the invoice along with lying to me for months about what is going on with my car saying that the headlights came in broken and were on back order since my car is 'rare' when they never even ordered it in the first place. These headlights cost $900 per headlight. I called the bmw shop they said they it from on the invoice and they hadn't sold the part since 2022! At the very bottom of the invoice they charged me $165 for aftermarket headlights and conversion kit in the miscellaneous repairs. These people are scammers and idiots that don't know how to work on cars take your business elsewhere unless you want them to use you to commit fraud along with holding your vehicle for 3 months! Horrible service from these people and also since my car sat in their shop for 3 months on a lie my starter went out and that was a nice extra $500 for something that wouldn't have happened at a body shop that's going to charge an arm and a leg for a simple repair you can do in your garage had they actually done their job.

While the paint and sunroof work look decent, the condition my car was returned in was nothing short of embarrassing. Every window inside the vehicle, including the rearview mirror, was coated in a strange film or haze that wouldn't come off with normal cleaning. The clip for my sun visor was broken -- I went to move it, and the entire visor fell down. The in-car microphone was left disconnected, and some kind of glue, paint, or paste was smeared all on both the driver and passenger seats. On top of that, there were dirty handprints all over my tan headliner. When I complained, I was told to bring the vehicle back so they could clean up their mess. I reluctantly agreed. Upon pickup, I was told my car had gone through a quality check *and* a follow-up quality check by the manager. Based on what I saw, they must have a very different definition of "quality." The haze was still present on the windows -- an employee even admitted they had no idea what it was and that it was "extremely hard to get off." (Let's be real: you know what it is. You just don't want to say.) They did manage to clean the substance off my seats, and they reconnected the microphone and repaired the visor. However, the car was returned with more dirty fingerprints on the headliner, and a section of it wasn't even clipped in -- my husband had to fix it himself. After a couple of days driving it, I noticed that the rearview mirror mount was either scratched or had some kind of substance on it, too. Their attention to cleanliness and detail is extremely poor. I would not recommend this shop to anyone. The only reason I went there is because Bell Honda said they use this shop for repairs on new vehicles. I also had a warranty issue for a rattling window -- which they claimed they couldn't replicate. Would not recommend this shop.

Les looked at my car and gave me a price to make the repairs to the bumper, repaint the entire bumper and the hood and any other scratches on the car.
