So easy to work with. They worked with my insurance. They came to me at my work location. The tech called me and asked me to come let them in my car. I had a full meeting schedule so I told them to let me know when they were done. The technician finished and let me know the car was locked. When I came out to go home, not only was it a better windshield than I had before but they took my parking permit and oil change notification from the old one and put it on the new one. I was expecting to have to do that on my own. The tags they could not replace (clean freak), they left in my car in case I needed it. These things sound small but it was stuff I never thought of. Absolutely flawless service and communication. A+ from start to finish. In AZ you can basically plan to get your windshield replaced once a year if you drive often like I do. I have had mine replaced 8 times in my 10 years living here. Despite the frequency, I had yet to find my go to auto glass replacement company. That all changed this time around. I had multiple appointments fall through with Safelight Auto Glass for various reasons. Wrong or delayed glass ordered, active recall on vehicle to name a couple. Since the replacement has to be done on sight to accommodate calibration I was feeling defeated and frustrated. Being without the vehicle for a half day is not ideal for me. I had previously used a Pro Tech Auto Glass technician and reached out since I was at my wits end. Mirayam from Pro Tech was incredibly prompt and knowledgeable. Within 2 business days of reaching out my glass was replaced and calibrated. The best part was. I never had to leave my house. The technician Christian was simply awesome. Super knowledgeable and efficient. I talked with him briefly when he arrived and he was very personable. It was immediately clear he had replaced windowshon multiple vehicles and knew exactly what he was doing. In roughly an hour the glass was replaced and calibration completed as well. No issues at all. The experience could not have been better in all aspects. I have full glass coverage so no cost or deductible needed. This company was recommended by a friend so I thought I'd use them instead of a known large company. First my windshield was to be fixed Friday. Next it was moved to Monday because the wrong windshield was order. It was rescheduled for Wednesday morning but then it needed to be moved to the afternoon. Because of a huge commitment they assured me it would be done at 3. At 2 I get a call from the technician that there is no way. Will never use them again. The tech blamed the office, the office blamed it on the windshield company. The communication is horrible and there's no accountable for how their shotty work impacts customers. Follow up. When I told the owner I was going to bring my business somewhere else, the owner Will said "I don't give a shit". He made excuse after excuse about being a small business. You don't treat customers this way. I'll give the owner credit. He called me back and apologized and is trying to make it right. As a fellow small business owner, I would never talk to a customer like you did and will make sure to leave reviews quoting you "I don't give a shit". I'm a small business owner. Protech was the company that my insurance company booked to do the windshield replacement on my vehicle last year. The booking.. Fine. They come to my work and the installer was in and out in record time...Great. Everything went downhill after that. The next few months of car washes and thunderstorms, the quality of installer work came to a head. As I was driving home Saturday June 8th 2019 after getting my vehicle washed, a wrench warning light came on. A few seconds later I lose all driving power. The gas peddle no longer is responding and steering is becoming difficult. Imagine driving 45 mph and then your vehicle stops responding. Quite harrowing. I manage to pull over, put it in park and shut the engine off. I say a little prayer and turn the vehicle over again. The wrench light comes on again but the peddles respond. I call the dealership and they want the vehicle in immediately. Fast forward to that Monday and I get a call from my service gal. She emails me over the repair report and I am shocked. "Windshield Seal: P166A in PCM. Pinpoint test found leaking Windshield on RH side leaking down into Fuse box and corroded inside and connection. Subtotal 2024.11 Shop Charges 59.95 Tax 91.75 Total 2175.81 " This electrical failure was the result of the brand new windshield leaking. I call my insurance guy and he says he'll get in contact with the glass company. A few days later my service gal says the glass company is taking responsibility for the damage and will pay for the damage but does not want to touch my vehicle. Ford has their company patch the leak. November 2019, after all the times I was my vehicle and the heavy rain we're finally getting here in Phoenix, the same wrench light comes up. I freak out and call the dealership and they want to see the vehicle again. Sure enough, the windshield is leaking again in the same spot and was told seal repair was probably not going to be a permanent fix. And the proper thing to do would have been to completely redo the windshield install from scratch once it was discovered it was leaking. But remember, protech didn't want to touch my vehicle again to repair let alone do a replacement. They just wanted to pay the bill for the electrical damage and wash their hands of it. So Ford did what they could. After all, the original windshield leak was no fault of their own or of the company that did the patch. Ford tells me there is no electrical damage, yet. I call my insurance guy and get him up to speed. So for the next few weeks, while my insurance company tries to get this issue resolved and I can get my windshield replaced, I try to keep my vehicle from getting wet. But with it as my only method of transportation, I am caught in a rainstorm while driving home. I lose all power again while driving. This time I am not alone in the vehicle. My family is with me. Long story short... Once the insurance company got things figured out, I used the company Ford works with to properly replace the windshield. I've had no issues since. In the end..ProTech. I had a rock chip on one of my vehicles and my Insurance agent recommended PROTECH, what a great referral! Dallas was the tech and was perhaps the most professional, personable, knowledgeable, and friendly service technician I have had the pleasure of watching do his craft. This rock chip was extremely low on the windshield and was a star crack which is a difficult crack to repair for most technicians. Dallas took the time to explain what he needed to do and he was quite precise/surgical and was able to make this happen. Other techs that I have had to used before would have stated that a new windshield would likely be needed and walk away. Rocks as landscape will forever leave a bitter taste in my mouth. I swear a rock flies and dings the windshield way too often. This time around, it was Mama W. that needed her windshield replaced after one of her chips turned into a tentacle monster from the frigid drop in temperatures a week ago. Enter Pro Tech Auto Glass! After calling All-State, we were actually recommended to call this company as it is one of their "preferred" companies. I think it means there's some sort of guaranteed to their work but I could be wrong. Anywho, a polite and friendly Adriana took my call and told me what was gonna be done: We were going to set-up a claim with All-State together in a three-way conference call and everything will be scheduled and done. And that's exactly what happened. Things were set-up, numbers were exchanged, and Mama W. was gonna get a new windshield! The day of the replacement, I received a call from the technician that he was about 20 minutes away and he arrived at the specified time. The replacement work took about half an hour and he left a care sheet behind [no washing the car for 48-hrs, no removing the tape for 24-hrs, no driving for one-hour, et cetera]. Pro Tech Auto came out to my place of business just before 10:30 this morning to fix a star shaped crack in my windshield. Unfortunately, what was a nickel sized star nick near the corner of my windshield mysteriously turned into an 8 + inch crack. It was not cracked in that manner this morning when I got in or out of my car. The sun roof was open and it was parked next to a tree that partially shaded the windshield and the car was parked facing away from the morning sun. The technician never came into my place of business to find me or find out where my car was parked (150+ cars in the parking lot). The technician somehow found my car and parked in front of it. I do not know exactly what transpired after his arrival, we have security cameras but the trees and his van were blocking the viewing area. I can only speculate the events. By the time I walked out to see if he was even out there, he was leaving a note on the windshield saying it could not be repaired. It needed to be replaced. The technician claimed he did not put any pressure on the windshield and claimed that the crack could have been caused by the sun. Here are my issues: 1. I've had numerous nicks and cracks over the years on different windshields, never has one mysteriously gotten worse the day it was being repaired. 2. Unfortunately, I was not a witness to the events that transpired. So,. I cannot honestly blame Auto Tech, but the technician never came in to find me before starting to work on my car. It's frustrated to realize that the only way of letting me know it needed to be replaced was to simply leave a note on my windshield. He had my number, why not call me to come and see it for myself? I caught him sitting in his truck with the motor running without any form of contact between us. I'm very puzzled by this companies customer service. 3. I feel that even though the technician denied putting any pressure on the windshield, I feel he was dishonest. It obviously cost the insurance company much more to replace a windshield than to pay for the repair. Could this be a normal practice when it's the insurance companies dime? Even though the insurance company pays for the replacement, they probably won't pay for OEM that I want back in my car and I have to find a way to get the new windshield lightly tinted as was it originally....of course in this state, that is illegal. While I appreciate the follow-up call from the owner after the events that transpired today......Sorry, Pro Tech Auto Glass, coincidence or not, I will not use nor recommend your services to anyone in the future.
