There was a quarter-inch gap left at the top of the windows that wasn't explained to me beforehand, and it just didn't look right. Im having it removed at another shop that does edge-to-edge tinting. If you want this shop to do it they will invalidate any warranty. Out of the $130 spent on the two windows, they only refunded me $60, I agreed to pay for the front window shade. I expected better communication and a fairer resolution given that the product wasn't what I wanted. I wouldn't have gotten it done here if I had known. When I came back to the shop I was told I would get 50% of the total price I paid which was $200. If they had followed through with what they said to me I would not be writing this review.

I called a couple other glass companies recommended by my insurance that opened early and neither had any appointment's available that day to replace my windshield. I called Magic Windshields because they were close to my work. Magic Windshields opened early so I called them right when they opened. I spoke with Gracie who was very helpful and checked with the installers and manager to make sure they could get my windshield replaced before I left work. I needed to leave work by 2pm at the latest and she made sure it would happen. I was also informed the company was also a recommended shop by my insurance, so that was a nice bonus. Gracie told me they could get it done and come to my work to get it done before 1pm. Cristian, the installer called me about 10 minutes before he arrived and quickly replaced my windshield. I am extremely thankful they were able to help me out so quickly and get me back on the road. The interaction I had with both employees was very pleasant and professional and the install was great.

Recently I hired AGD Auto Glass Direct (AKA Glastek) to replace the windshield in my car. Prior to…read morehaving it scheduled, I asked if there was any sort of cash bonus/offer. Based on my vehicle, they told me $90, at which point I filed a glass claim with AGD/Glastek on the line. Once the claim was filed, I was told by my insurance to expect a link by text to take photos of the damage. While I did receive the link, AGD/Glastek called me just a few hours later stating they had the referral to complete the work and wanted to schedule. I questioned this as I had done nothing with the link yet that was provided by insurance, yet they assured me that b/c they had the referral I was good to go. The following day they replaced my windshield, but did not give me the $90 (claimed they forgot it and would mail it). Well the following day after that, they called/text me stating they needed my help as my insurance company wasn't paying them due to an issue with the referral. They asked me to call my insurance, which I did (spent an hour of my time trying to sort out their problem). My insurance company indicated they never sent any referral as I never sent in the pics, etc. They indicated AGD/Glastek jumped the gun and should not have replaced the windshield without the proper referral in place. A day or two later after that, AGD/Glastek reached out to me and threatened that if I did not call my insurance again to assist them that they would refuse to pay the $90 cash bonus. At that point I became quite frustrated with their demeaner and/or threat, seeing they are the ones who created this entire problem. So as of now, they never paid their cash bonus that they agreed to. Beware, I would strongly encourage anyone to look elsewhere as this is clearly false advertising.

I'm leaving a two-star review because the Glass Pros tech damaged my truck and the poor customer…read moreservice. I'll never use Glass Pros again and can not recommend them. Read on for details. The good: I emailed Glass Pros on Thursday, July 21, 2022, to get a quote for a new windshield. I received a quick response and a fair price ($239 installed). They scheduled service for Friday, July 22, 2022, and the technician arrived on time. The technician was friendly and professional and completed the work quickly. I inspected the windshield, verified the rearview mirror was installed, and paid the bill - in cash. Since the technician did a great job installing the windshield, I also included gratuity for the installer. The bad: The next day (Saturday, July 22, 2022), I discovered my turn indicator lever was broken when I drove my truck to an appointment. It was NOT damaged before Glass Pros worked on my vehicle. I contacted Sonny @ Glass Pros via email as soon as I discovered the damage and followed up with a phone call. Sonny was polite on the phone but indicated there was no possible way his tech could have damaged my vehicle. He did agree to speak to the tech and call me on Monday morning. Monday morning came and went, and no word from Sonny. I called him Monday afternoon. After a lengthy conversation with the underlying theme of "no way my guy broke your car," Sonny said he would send his tech out to look at the damage and figure out if they could fix my truck with junkyard parts. Not what I wanted - but I agreed to let the tech look things over but had no intention of letting him work on my truck again. Late Tuesday (July 26, 2022), the technician who installed the windshield and an associate arrived at my business to inspect the damage to my vehicle. The associate translated so the tech could understand as I explained how we identified the damage and showed them what was broken. Again, I learned that there is NO POSSIBLE WAY a glass installer could have damaged my truck. I hoped Sonny would make things right, offer an apology at the very least, or maybe even a partial refund to offset my loss. I didn't receive an apology or a partial refund - what I got was an insinuation that I must be lying. I know the truth, and so does the tech who installed my windshield. I gave up trying to get a resolution from Glass Pros; it was a waste of my time. I will not receive compensation for my loss, and Glass Pros (the Tech or Sonny) will not admit culpability. I have no recourse because I saved them a few bucks by paying in cash. Lesson learned. I gave up this fight - I'll take my lumps, and next time, I'll use a more reputable company for auto glass replacement and pay with a credit card! Your luck with this company might be better than mine, but if you have any problems after the installation - you might be SOL. If you use Glass Pros, Pay with a credit card and inspect your vehicle thoroughly and carefully before you pay!

WOMEN BEWARE! I spoke to Corey on the phone and he was very…read morepleasant and helpful. We got on a conference call with my insurance company and worked out the details for my windshield to be replaced and completely covered by my insurance company. Corey called me back to get the correct VIN number, because he didn't have it right the first time, so that he could order the correct parts. I was to drop my car off at the designated location, a tint shop that they use often and that I also use. As I arrived to pick up my vehicle, the tint business owner looked over the receipt and the work done by Dave's Metro, and he seemed irritated and disappointed. He showed me the bill and said that this was my copy. He pointed out that there was a front window camera charge on there for around $300. He asked if I had that and I said no, that I've never had a front window camera. He called the windshield company and got that taken off immediately. He also noticed they did not charge insurance for a tint visor, the work that he did. He was able to get that changed on the bill as well. When I got home, my husband noticed that the molding kits were not the right size and that they were flaring off the sides of my windshield and not fitting correctly with the rest of my vehicle's molding. He warned me not to go to the car wash because we weren't sure if the windshield was even waterproof with this shoddy work. I also started hearing a rattling sound every time I accelerated past 50 mph coming from the top of the windshield from inside the car while I was driving. I surmise this is from the ill-fitting molding flapping, shaking and vibrating in the wind. An original Ford part or OEM (original equipment manufacturer) part is priced at around $105 for that exact brand new molding kit for my vehicle. DAVE'S METRO AUTOGLASS charged $481 for this exact same part, and this is not including labor. They also charged 3.5 hours to do this job which is extremely excessive. This type of job usually takes between 30 minutes to 90 minutes to complete. Appointment 2 My husband spoke to Missy on the phone a few times regarding the inaccurate bill charging extra for parts I didn't have, like a front facing camera on my windshield that added $300 to the bill, and she asked, "Why do you care? We are submitting it to the insurance company. You are not paying". He said, "Shouldn't the job be done correctly? My wife's car has the wrong parts on it and you charged her for a brand new, correctly sized molding kit for the vehicle in question". Missy also said that it was up to the insurance company to set pricing for labor hours. My husband talked to our insurance agent and he said no, this is completely false. My husband called today and spoke to Jessica, who said we could set up an appointment for them to fix their repair job mistakes. We set up an appointment for today, Wednesday, September 3, from a window of noon to 3 PM. I waited down at my husband's work, which was the place of meeting, from 11:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. and no one showed up so I drove my husband's car back home. He waited there. He then got a text at 4:21 p.m. that their ETA was 15 minutes away so they arrived at 4:35 p.m. He was able to repair one side of the car's molding kit, but did not bring enough parts to repair the other side. The technician said that they had given him two driver's side molding kits instead of one driver side and one passenger side molding kit. We now have to bring the car back on Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to get the other side repaired. The technician said that he would take care of the appointment and equipment. Appointment No. 3 My husband drove my car to his work today and the technician arrived at 9:30 AM to do the repairs. My car is finally finished and the work that was supposed to be done correctly on August 13 has finally been completed. It has taken us a lot of time and labor to get what we paid for in the beginning, a basic installation of a windshield and a molding kit. The moldings don't look as good as they did before I brought my car into Dave's, but they do look better than the first mis-sized moldings that they put on. There is no more shaking and rattling coming from the upper windshield area now when I drive either. In the past, I have had my windshield repaired in the parking lot of my employment while I worked by Safelite auto repair. I've never had an experience as horrific as this. The windshield was put in perfectly with correct parts within an hour time. It is not worth it to go to dave's Metro auto glass. You will pay for it with lost hours and lost dollars in the end. Save yourself the stress and running around required to just get what you overpaid for in the first place.

With $30 (cash price) $40 (credit card) chip repair option, your service is a breath of fresh air between deciding to try to self repair with a kit that probably won't work amazingly well since I'm not a pro at glass repair and calling in a big national company and getting charged extra to help pay for their marketing campaigns. Caveat with Dave's chip repair, they're not mobile and they're available only Monday to Friday from 8 - 330 for walk in repairs, first come first served. My wait time was about 30 minutes today, so not a big annoyance for an auto repair. 5 stars for the reliable and reasonable cost repair, 4 stars for limited repair availability. They're available for mobile service on a full window replacement. I'll more than likely check back if ever I need one of those. Super glad I found Dave, hoping to never need him again. Unlikely because, well, we all live in the desert and you're just about guaranteed a window chip at one point or another down the line.
