PARENTS LOVE FIVE55 Hidden behind the dim sum restaurant inside the Marriott hotel, Five55 is now my husband and my favorite restaurant to go with our kids! Pros: - full bar- great cocktails - the food is GOOD! It's not the typical bar food, besides wings, burgers and onion rings their grilled salmon dinner was perfectly cooked! Flatbread pizza is bomb too - baby changing table in BOTH restrooms for mommy's and daddy's - lots of TVs playing sports - private room available with your own TV and board games. Perfect for your kids to run around inside - service is great. They are attentive and come by often to get drink orders There are no cons. Hence why I gave them a perfect 5-star! read more

Stopped by 555 on a weekday evening and was warmly welcomed by the hostess as soon as we arrived. Luis, our bartender, provided outstanding service throughout the night. He was friendly, attentive, and clearly very knowledgeable about cocktails and mixology. Our drinks were prepared quickly, and he made great recommendations. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was lively with great vibes for a Thursday night. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and the service really stood out. I'll definitely be returning and would highly recommend checking this place out. read more

Monica was the best waiter! Appreciate her service. 5 stars! Will be coming here again.

I haven't been here in a while, and it's still my favorite place to chill, have some GOOD food, drinks, and amazing service !! Shout out to LOUIS! Attentive, and awesome! He makes the BEST old fashions!!! read more

Fantastic food, great service by Monica & the rest of the staff. Ambiance was excellent. 11/10

Never heard of a quiet sports bar but Five55 hit the spot in a part of town where restaurants are few and far in between. A plate of Korean Beef nachos and chicken quesadillas were remarkably tasty as I was left wondering where the customers were hiding. In any case, a very strong four stars. read more

Had a great time at Five 55 sports bar and the service was great with Max! The drinks came out quickly and the vibe was good

You walk in and the service was on point. Went in on a night when bartenders Ryan & Max were behind the bar, they recommended some drinks and appetizers that were great. The Michelada is my current go to. read more

We came to happy hour on a Friday and it was nearly empty so we were seated right away. I'm not much of a drinker so I only ordered the short rib quesadilla except it was a more of a meat-dilla because there wasn't any cheese. Normally, I wouldn't complain but the meat was pretty dry and so salty that the cheese would've made it so much better and added a gooey texture to bring the short rib together. I liked that it came with both guac and cheese on the side. The ambience is very relaxing and the interior is spacious with varying tables for large groups and small ones. The service is also good with the waiters checking in on my group often asking if they wanted to order more drinks. read more

Tucked away, behind their Chinese restaurant. Nice lounge space for bar. Went to a catered eventually there. Food was OK, nothing special. It's about the same as the good for events if you use their's conference rooms. Staff was nice and helpful. Parking is underneath and has a 3 hour validation with the restaurants. A fine place for a meeting. read more

We had a graduation celebration and reserved the semi-private room and occupied 2 additional tables of 10. The five stars is for the service. MAYRA was our server and I am so grateful for how she made the experience so enjoyable and easy to manage. We had 9 different families and accommodated separate checks. NO questions asked. I typically hear it's limited to 2 or 3 bills, and you must this and that. She served each family efficiently, our orders were accurate and she was so attentive. The food and drinks were good. What stood out this experience was the service. This review is whole heartedly from a customer. I did not receive a free drink or food for the review, just good customer service. read more

We stopped in during happy hour for a few cocktails, and they were great! Espresso martini was sweet but not too creamy. The glitter hearts in the foam were a nice touch! The old fashioned came with a stamped ice cube which was fun. I had the strawberry smash on HH for just $10 and this was delicious! Overall a very nice and upscale environment to enjoy a great cocktail in the area. read more

Came here to watch a game. Service is great from the hostess to the bartenders to the food servers. We sat at the bar and they were kind enough to switch the channel on our TV to the event we came to see. They have a good selection of beers on tap and the wings and steak fries were pretty darn good. Next time, you need to get out and watch a game, this is a good choice. It's chill and not rowdy but have everything you need to enjoy your sporting event of choice on TV. read more

Happy Hour review. 4-6pm Mon- Fri. Parking underground with 3 hours free with validation. No boring intro story. Let's go: -Lychee Margarita $10. I like St Germain so decided to try this. With Patron silver, the cocktail could use less lime and I'm not sure it goes with the lychee syrup which tasted more artificial than it should have. Garnished with a canned lychee, the drink looks good and was fairly strong for $10. 3/5. -Belgian Blonde ale (Duvel) $6. The pour barely had a head and tasted strange, like missing the flavor. I feel like something was up with the draft or keg. -Japanese Old fashioned $10. Very sweet imo and definitely watered down as it was stirred with lots of crushed ice instead of an ice cube. -10 piece wings two flavors $15: lemon pepper and Caribbean. The Caribbean is a mango habanero sauce that's very sweet and not spicy at all which reminded me of orange chicken. Pass on this one for me. The lemon pepper was great and it was dry style. I would recommend this flavor for these juicy wings. Non HH wing price was $17. 3.4/5 -The burger only $10 is a smashed burger so the patty is on the thinner side and was slightly dry. The fixings and bun were good. 3.2/5 -Onion rings $7. Hard and a bit dry with really thick coating (from frozen I assume). Huge pass, we barely ate them. 1/5. Overall okay place for the happy hour hunters in MP. They had the game on many monitors no sound. Staff is very nice and attentive, well dressed and helpful so that's a plus! read more

Love 555. Xavier and Blake were amazingly attentive. Drinks are great, definitely recommend.

My family & I had an amazing time watching the World Cup finals at Five55! All the staff was on point considering the large crowd they had to tend to BUT our server, Xavier, was on point the whole time we were there!!! My hats off to him & the whole staff for continuing to check on us to see how we were doing! I would definitely be going back!! read more

We had a great time watching the World Cup final here, very accommodating, great service Xavier was an amazing server

Great ambiance. Lovely seating choices. Great place to hang out for drinks and happy hour. We have not tried the regular dinner menu yet. But I hope staff read my review and improve what's lacking especially the soggy chicken wings Soggy wings described as crispy!! Not cool and dried out, awful looking carrots. Short rib quesadilla was VERY good. Better dipped into blue cheese dressing. Drinks. Japanese old fashioned. Good. -- ok. Pinot Grigio. Ok not great. Next day I tried the Sav Blanc. It's less sour so I liked it better. But clearly budget wine. Raspberry Bellini was good. Kids had the pepperoni flatbread. They did not like it. read more

The food was delicious! And our server Blake was very nice and helpful! Definitely will come again soon!

Just here to say...after a long day of travel we checked in & had to immediately get ready for a dinner. I asked my husband if he'd get me a glass of wine from the bar. He went to this restaurant (the regular hotel bar only had Chardonnay which I hate) and the bartender took the time to chill the glass with ice & water before she poured the wine. It was a very hot day & that crisp glass of white wine turned my whole life around. It's the little things. We stayed on 4/6 read more

Xavies was quick and amazing! Got us seats and drinks super quickly- we were able to enjoy before last call

Excellent service, food is delicious and drinks, chef kiss! Went with a girlfriend since we were staying in the hotel. We arrived in time for happy hour (4-6pm). Xavier was our server and we asked him for suggestions and he did not disappoint with our drink, entree and dessert. For drinks, we had a Clase Azul Reposado on the rocks, Citraholic IPA, Gold Rush bourbon cocktail, and a Creature Comfort DTLA west Coast IPA. For food we had the tostada and dessert, the brownie. Delicious! What a gem of a find! read more

I was staying at the Courtyard Marriot and saw an ad for Five55's happy hour in the hotel's elevator. I found Five55 located in the same establishment as the hotel, and it was a short walk across the lobby to the other side of the building. Happy hour went from 4-6pm, so I headed over to the restaurant around 4:30pm. There were a few folks at the bar countertop, but the main dining area was empty. I snagged a high chair with the other patrons. Bar staff was great. There were two bartenders holding down the fort, and they were both friendly and attentive. The bussers were really nice too. I ordered a Strawberry Crush off the happy hour menu but asked to modify the spirit with gin. I enjoyed the cocktail, which was fruity and sweet. I did end up getting a second cocktail, a Clover Club, post-happy hour later in the evening for a night cap. That was made well too. I had their smashed cheeseburger, which was highly satisfying. I thought it was going to come with fries since I've seen it on an online happy hour menu from Five55, but the burger came on its own. I ended up getting the side of onion rings from the HH menu, and they were great as well. The onion rings came in a huge portion, so this would be a great app to share. read more

Pros: Place is brand new and very nice, ambiance is a little quiet, and low energy. The cocktails are very good as well as their happy hour. It's never super busy so that's nice because you know you'll be able to get a place to sit. Cons: Terrible to watch sports games! Not enough tvs, some of the TVs kept dropping signal during TNF, no joke literally right at the worst moment the tv would go to black and start loading. They really need to figure that glitch out. Another time the tv timed out and turned off. The wings weren't great, Fries bland, onion rings super burnt, and the burger used to be better. Not sure what happened. The beer selection isn't the major brand beers, just alot of micro brew brands. Also, the TV volume isn't loud so can really hear the games announcers at all. The staff is nice and does their best, but they're used of it being slow so when it was really busy because of TNF they just couldn't keep up. You had to go the bar to get your order in, otherwise you would wait forever to get helped. If it's not busy then service is not a problem. read more

Delicious food ! Chicken melt, fried chicken strips , chicken Caesar salad & fries Tasty drinks: old fashion & margarita. Hospitable professional staff. Average prices. Clean bathroom (quite a distance of a walk). Lots of TV's & seating (but limited bar seats) Will definitely return & recommend. Free parking for one hour I think for guests. But I didn't see how anyone's enforcing this) read more

Five55 is located inside the Courtyard by Marriott Los Angeles Monterey Park. During our stay at the hotel, we stopped in for some late night appetizers and drinks. This is advertised as a bar and restaurant, and we sat over by the bar. The night we came, there was a large event with really loud kids. I didn't mind at all but was just surprised to see kids near the bar. We ordered Garlic Parmesan Truffle Fries and Short Rib Quesadillas. The quesadillas looked dry but I was surprised they tasted really good. The meat was actually juicy. It was served with small sides of guacamole and pico de gallo. Wish it came with a side of sour cream but it was fine as is. Our server was really cool and checked up on us often to make sure our needs were met. Overall, really satisfied with the convenience of having this bar stay open late hours without having to leave our hotel. read more

Oh wow -- it's become one-stop-shopping at the Courtyard by Marriott on Atlantic in Monterey Park, across from the Atlantic Times Square shopping center with the AMC movie theatre and 24 Hour Fitness. This hotel now boasts an awesome coffee shop (serving all the Starbucks drinks), a Boba place (Bobaful, it's great), a fantastic all-day dim sum place (Chef Tony) and spacious sports bar/restaurant Five55 (it's their address). They all validate! Don't sleep on the happy hour at 555 (4 to 6) -- lots of bargains to be had. Friendly host/bartender/server/busboy staff that checked on us constantly. Highlights are the smashburger (a smashed cheeseburger with fries that is very tasty) and their homemade potato chips that come out hot. Lots of games to play and tons of seating -- for reasons unknown, this place is never very crowded so bring your crew and let the Jenga tourney begin. Feeling green? The casesar salad! It's huge and you'll have a second meal. Other standouts are the chicken quesadilla and flatbread pizza. TLDR; great American comfort food with 100 TVs and games to play. read more

Watched a world cup game here. 10/10 food, drinks, and service from Luis. Best hotel bar food and service I've had. Will return.

Back again for Happy Hour! This time around, we ordered a variety of items to try out. The Loaded Tater Tots were so good! I liked that they included sweet potato tots in the mix! The Home Made Potato Chips were good too and was a good sized portion. The Bellini was delicious. Unfortunately, service wasn't as great this time around. We had to chase down one of our drinks. There's still free parking validation and they only accept 2 credit cards if you want to split the bill. Overall, still a good Happy Hour spot since the food and drinks are awesome. Plus, right now, if you check in on Yelp, you'll get 15% off the bill! read more
